Of course, you can easily invite your Nintendo Switch friends too!
Note: To use these services, you will need Nintendo Switch software that is compatible with this app. You can check the current list of voice-chat-compatible software within the app. (Even more software will be added in the future!)

I mean, it works... On my Chromebook, every image in the app turns into a garbled mess. The text is fine though. But that doesn't change the fact that it's annoying. Consider making it so that it detects the resolution to display stuff right. REVIEW POSTED AFTER 1.2.2
It was useful when it was functional, except it no longer does. The ACNH specific service doesn't ever load, even after installing the update that unhelpfully claimed "various issues resolved". I'd rather have a game specific app that worked, this is just a way for Nintendo to advertise other games.
It's okay. It's not great, but it's not the worst app out there. I appreciate the ability to type on my phone during play with friends in ACNH. However, it's a little disappointing that the game won't sync up with my island or encyclopedia/museum to show what bugs and fish I haven't caught yet. Also, NookPoints are basically useless. There's nothing new or exciting to redeem them for, so once you get all of the current items, there's nothing else to get with them.
We need more features! give us the abilities that the Playstation and xbox apps get to see what friends play and be able to message them from the app. I love to see us be able to get trophies or achievements like Playstation and xbox have, that'd be really cool 😎!
The app is registering my Nintendo account that it is a different one and won't let me access any of the features, including voice chat and I can't seem to find a way to fix this issue, so Nintendo, if you ever see this, please help me or fix my account because my account that the app uses has an older icon, but this one and what my current one uses both have the same email, bit i dod change so idk the issue, but I don't know how to fix this.
It an okay app but you're lacking in features, like for an example there's no store on the app, theirs no way send or buy gifts to friends or family members and why do you need a membership to look at game specifics which literally should be free of certain use. How do you expect the switch to create a bigger fan base and constant sells if you not giving people a proper way to use the app and console together
Definitely needs more features. Maybe to look at switch online news like with NSO feature on the switch itself. Maybe also let you subscribe to nintendo switch online from the phone app if you want to subscribe to it right away but your no where near your switch at the time being. And you can send Gallery images to your phone. This app is very lackluster in its current state. Can't just be for voice chat
Needs "add friends" features, it would make it easier to add someone via Switch Code if they sent it over text etc. as well as push notifications for that.
I think there could be much more use for this app than it is currently.. Maybe our 'My Nintendo' account could be a part of this app. Where I view and do everything as I would via website. Also I think it would be cool to view my Switch's Album. Maybe even upload to Twitter/etc from this app too?.
ive only used this app for the animal crossing features, and for what it offers there it works good. chatting + reaction options on ur phone is much easier than the janky switch touchscreen, and u can scan qr code designs from if u wanted to use such! but i see the other reviews and im not sure about the rest of the app, so take my feedback with a pinch of sugar.
The app doesn't update your game data. My Nook Link is like forever trapped in 3/11/22-3/20/22. It updated for a second and then reverted back to the cursed time frame.
The new additions are a great start to making this app worth using. I'm talking about viewing your friend code and seeing which friends are online. Please add a way to transfer screenshots and captures from the switch to the app! Also a chat feature would be nice, like the PlayStation app.
Still useless. Can't hear anyone on voice chat unless I use headphones, which defeats the purpose. No way to chat with friends only. Pretty lame online service.
Have to Uninstall and reinstall a lot. It gets very annoying, but I don't know of any others apps that does the same things.
Seemed to be in sync with my ACNH account, but every time I try to use reactions or chat, it tells me my switch needs to be connected to the internet, which it is.
I can't log in anymore. The app updated and logged me out. I hit the sign in button, input my email/password, and get a screen that says "The page cannot be displayed. Please start the process over from the beginning. Note: Do not use the Back button on your web browser." This happens over and over, I can't get past it. When I hit the "Need help? Tap here." option on the app screen, it goes to the web page that explains the app, but never an option for customer assistance.
You need a Nintendo online membership to be able to use nooklink which is stupid since once you know about it it's a must have for the game experience from what I've heard about it. I've already paid for the switch and game themselves, I'm not gonna subscribe with money I don't have just for a quality improvement and literally one feature that'll get used.
No shop. Developer keeps re-releasing old games and requiring re-purchases to restore access. Otherwise good.
Not good, but not bad by any means. Definetly needs much more features. Like, the only reason to use this app is if you have Smash, Splatoon, or Animal Crossing. The voice chat feature is cool, but why use that when Discord exists? But it's nice, I like how you can do Spirits in the Smash Bros portion.
It's a pretty good app but... other games have a voice chat feature that's not featured on this app, not sure why. But it would be awesome if the app could sync with those other games (pokemon unite for example). If this is just for voice chat for the 3 games that's already there, then there are other apps with voice chat that has more features. If love to see this all take off tho
App no longer works. I use this primarily for NookLink, and for the past 30 hours, access to NookLink is unavailable. I cannot get past the loading screen. I've reset the app, deleted and downloaded it again and yet it won't work.
Please Nintendo, build these features into the Switch Natively if I have to pull out my phone I'll call my friends on fb. However if u make a friend playing Monster Hunter for example you can never talk to them to setup future hunts. The updates recently to "NSO" have been positive improvements but only slight and in the modern Era you need to try to adapt. All this said with much love ❤ for you Nintendo.
Amazing, before the UI update the app was bland and nothing to do other then voice chat and game services. After the update there is so much you can do like friend codes and friends online, also the UI looks more simple. Also there is no ads whatsoever. 10/10
UPDATE: Never mind. I found it. 🤪🙄😬 It's decent however I am unable to see any of my ID'S: Custom design creator ID, Dream Address and Happy Home Network ID, I can only see the very top of each number but have no idea what those numbers are which basically makes the AC:NH portion of the appcompletely useless.
The new app update is a nice improvement but the issue remains. No one wants to voice chat on their phone while gaming. How do you hear the game audio if connected to your phone? This isn't rocket science. You aren't solving any problems here.
The app is good, but lacking in some features. It would benefit the app if there was a text messaging service of some kind, as well as an invite button. Overall though a fine enough app
Terrible app, a company as big as this and they can't get it to run smoothly. No way to contact them other be than wait for a automatic reply with no help for the problem at all. Paid for a family subscription and haven't been able to use it for a month
You guys are not letting me change my email to my new email address.... My first email can't even be used. You guys are just as bad as Epic Games for locking people out of theie accounts.... Scammers...What does actor bios got to do with this app? What does Free Trail got to do with this app? Scammers!!!
"LIMITED" online accessibility I got this app, for "ACNH" unfortunately since getting my APP,GAME & SWITCH I've had nothing but error code "2218-4201"issues on my S-Lite I have troubleshooted and called Nintendo's Techs & done everything NO troubleshooting skills from the TECH TEAM to rectify the issues & STILL not been able to utilize any of my 2Yrs & 7mths so far NO access to any of the NSO "membership services", BUT PROBLEM IS ONLY FOR MY 1 ACCT,I HAVE A MOTO E & CANT DOWNLOAD AC APP EITHER!
Everything was going fine for about more than a month, then when the new update hit, it made NookLink basically unplayable because of severe glitching. Everything. But Nooklink, it's still usable but the glitching is too distracting, and annoying.
