Been using this app for a year and I love it. It takes the methodology outlined in "Getting Things Done" by David Allen and absolutely nails it. It's got all the functionality you need for GTD while being very user friendly as well, both on desktop and on mobile. I really feel it has the exact right amount of features, exactly as much as you need with no bloat. I don't use Nirvana for everything in my GTD system, but it is absolutely the backbone. It has all the essentials: An inbox, projects lists, next actions, waiting for lists, scheduled actions, someday lists, and reference. You can also add tags to items and sort them into categories like work and personal, which makes it very easy to keep it from feeling cluttered; and if you've read GTD you know that a fear of cluttering is often a deterrent of using some system. One of my favorite features is the "focus" tag which lets you highlight certain items that are most important at the moment, which is another great tool for preventing clutter. The most important thing I wanted was the ability to have projects, each with its own list of "next actions", while also being able to see a single list of *all* next actions that is automatically generated from this list. This is not a feature of any generic "productivity" app, but Nirvana implements this beautifully. Another implementation detail I love is that there are multiple ways to view the next actions list, including as a single unified list which is ideal when you're on the ground looking for an action to take, or sorted by project, which is ideal when doing a weekly review. If you're looking for a way to implement a system based on GTD, this app is a real winner!

I was looking for a full GTD app that wouldn't break the bank and that offered a one-time purchase option rather than a subscription model. Found it & love Nirvana so far, especially for its "areas" and the myriad of different views and sorting options to keep an overview of all your projects. The only thing I am missing is a widget to be able to see a Focus or Next list without opening the app.

This app is fantastic! I've been using Nirvana since August 2019, and without it, I would probably have never integrated GTD into my life. Its layout is clean, quick, and very aligned with GTD. Some people are saying it doesn't get updated that often; that's true, but there ARE still updates, and they are helpful every time! I like that they are careful not to update too dramatically or too often. Syncing between the phone app and the web app is perfect, as long as you close the phone app before getting on the computer. This app lacks some features that would be helpful, like location-based or time-based reminders. However, you can set tags, group by project, and set due dates, so if you are conscientious about using GTD each day, the app will present you with everything you need. Thanks, Nirvana team! The lifetime purchase was so worth it!

I've been using this app for a few years already. I remember the prev. version with old layout. At that days it was IMHO the best productivity app on the market. Currently as it has not been updated since 2016/17 and has several annoying issues I consider replacing it with some alternative. Issues: - sync does not work for longer list of items, usually it updates only first 10-something from top of the list - it's really easy to incidentally move items when scrolling And some more...

Nirvana is a life changer!. No more missed appointments or special occasions. Love to use checklists and progress notes, by date, within a task, which can then be saved in the Logbook or converted to a Reference document. Can't think of a single negative. So user friendly and at a fantastic price!

One of the best GTD apps. Complete support for a GTD workflow (unlike 99% of other "self-organization" apps), great web version, great app. With addition of some features (e.g. easy access to an inbox and widgets for an easy access to, say, project/context/saved search/...) can be the best by a large margin. Still highly recommended. Lifetime version seems like a good investment (for now, at least).

well designed and intuitive to use sadly there doesn't seem to be a 'dark mode' or any other way of modifying the look of the app, for me that's mostly a comfort feature but an important one and it helps with accessibility for some so i really hope this will be added eventually. ( if it's there and i missed it please let me know )

It's great application and i happy that i found it. There is only one thing which annoying me on desktop version: when I write some notes in project section and suppose I switch to reference section the notes in project section didn't save automaticaly and lost. It would be cool to save state of current session or display info message to save changes before leave current section.

This is a really great app, although needs few small bugs fixed ( probably due to androit update). Guys, please have a look and fix these 2 bugs. Here they are: when opening tags on the left menu I cant see all tags, ares and contacts ( only few and there is no scrolling option), sometimes it wont synchronize, claiming its offline ( not true). If that would be fixed, it GREAT. If not, unusable...

This app is the best I've found for supporting my GTD workflow. However, there are some rare issues with the Add Task button where it does not always add a project when viewing the projects list (instead, it prompts to add a task), but restarting the app clears these issues for a time and is a good workaround.

Very good GTD application, allow the good level of details for tasks and projects. Flexible in the setup which is a important factor for me. Love also the Focus section, that let you quickly setup what is important for today and avoiding missing important planned action. Things I am missing in mobile application is ability to share quickly to and from other application. always need to the go through copy paste, not very practical.

After trying out virtually every task management app, I'm sticking to Nirvana. The GTD method needs some learning, but it offers an orderly space to fit the complexity of a busy mind. It's like the Eisenhower matrix taken a step further. This app makes a great implementation of GTD, and really gives me what I wanted: it keeps my mind clear and focused.

After trying several different apps, finally found Nirvana. It was created for GTD, so it works great without too much friction or configuration required. The "Nirvana Setup Guide" from the official GTD site is also an excellent companion purchase. I also like the "lifetime" pro plan purchase option. Android and web version also sync well, with almost no bugs.

This is an outstanding product that is well worth every penny. It flawlessly implements the full GTD method, combines it with a beautiful UI, and adds in a bunch of cool features. Every aspect of the aspect is noticeably very well thought out. Highly recommended.

First of all, wow. Awesome app. I wanted to have ONE place where I could do the whole GTD method, and it's amazing. However, it's missing some pretty basic features. Unless I'm missing something, why isn't there a way to set a due date AND due time for a scheduled task? This is very important. Also, why isn't there a calendar within the app or at least a way to sync scheduled tasks to a calendar? Deadlines are part of GTD. Why no support for such a basic thing?

Phi. S. Feb 12, 2019

Great if you're using GTD or want to get into it more, as the as built around those principles and work flows. It's however not as feature rich and misses some integrations that other popular task managers have, as well as desktop apps etc. In any case, im pretty happy with how it works and does have all the necessary tools and features you need to manage all your next actions and other tasks effectively.

So far I love it. I've tried several project management apps but this is visually the best for me. I can see everything without the need to flip through several boards and list etc. 4 stars because I wish it could connect to my calendar. Otherwise, 5 stars

Great app, but hasn't been updated since 2017. There are definitely some features I'd like to see added, but there's seemingly no one to tell. I heard they were at the latest gtd conference, but they don't even update their blog any more. Sad to see an app with such promise fall by the wayside.

I have been using this app for last three months and i find it really useful. Both the app and web app are well designed and the inbox ensures u can drop tasks without havinn to fill in the details. Reference section also means I finally have a single place where all my information resides. Only downside is currently, you cannot add attachments to tasks. Hope the team adds this in upcoming release.

Abe. T. Jan 2, 2020

Love how it has a lifetime option to purchase and syncs with cloud/multiple devices. Simple yet powerful. Will give it 5 stars when I can use it with others in my house (small team) and can save projects with tasks as templates... Those two features would bring a new era to gtd apps.!

Jon. M. Jul 28, 2021

Simply the best. Haven't used a productivity app that works for me as well as this one. The way that tasks are able to be sorted just intuitively works with my brain! I also appreciate being able to toggle a "Later" actions page.

Just started to test the app, and it looks VERY promising! So promising that I bought premium ;) Hovewer I found one really annoying bug on android, when I try to add new project in the project view, or new reference list in the references view, the add button wants me to add task or a reference item (wrong context, it doesn't reset after going back from a task/reference list). I have to restart the app and go directly to projects or references and then I can add one. Please fix it asap 🙏🏻

Integration with google calendar would make it absolutely perfect. Having said that, it is a pretty well designed app already. I just might buy pro after using it a bit longer in free mode. Thank you.

It's all you need to free up your mind and get thing done. it helped me sooo much in about 6 months that I've used it. Thanks for all your servises; this amazing application, site and it's useful tutorials that makes our lifes organised and disciplined.

Hi devs! Thank you for the app. I appreciate your work and it help me to boost my productivity. So my feedback is: - dark theme - fix lagging animations on drag & drop actions - regular updates (are you alive?) - only monthly subscription like in spotify. Infinite subscription is just premium app - it will kill you

I have been analysing to-do apps for the last 1-2 months. Completed comparing it today with another good GTD app, and uninstalled it. Pl keep Repeating Tasks (basic feature) in Free plan. Else tweak it (like in Any.do), partially making it paid. Otherwise you will miss a larger user base. Overall features are promising.

Great app that meet my personal needs and strongly adheres to GTD methodology. Chose it from many others. My days became much more organized. procs: - project can have next, someday and sched recurring actions - filtering by area helps switch from work to home tasks instantly - nice ui cons: app lacks collapsing single note some minor bugs: - rarely on the project list, new button creates new action instead of project. - focus dsnt appear for due date instantly - long notes dnt move
