NISSAN Driver's Guide
This technology interacts with 3 main areas of the vehicle: · Steering wheel · Navigation and Audio system · Climate control system 2. Descriptions of all the warning lights displayed on the vehicle’s combination meter. 3. An electronic version of the Quick Reference Guide, providing a brief overview of many important features of the vehicle, including instructions to follow if your vehicle has a flat Tyre. Note The Augmented Reality interacts with these main buttons and systems:
1. Steering wheel buttons 2. Audio system buttons 3. Navigation system buttons 4. Air Conditioning buttons 5. Parking Brake button 6. Combination meter 7. Start/Stop engine button 8. Buttons located between the steering wheel and the driver's door.To take the best advantage of the Augmented Reality, you should be aware of the following points:
1. Use the application with sufficient exterior light conditions. 2. Always focus the camera on the complete button area of your vehicle. For instance in the case of the climate control and radio panel, please make sure the whole set of buttons is displayed within the screen. 3. If the camera does not immediately recognize the button area, please point the camera at the area again. Or move forwards and backwards slowly until the camera recognizes the element.4. The Augmented Reality may not work correctly if reflections appear on the surface of the dashboard or sunlight goes directly into the camera lens.

Doesn't work, only worked for 1 or 2 items in the centre panel, nothing else was detected at all, tried it from different angles in bright conditions and still nothing. I've tried a few nissan apps now and none of them worked properly....what's the point in developing them if your not even going to try properly??? I wouldn't be bothered with this.... Google can be your friend instead
Thought it might allow you to remote start the car automatically with the auto gearbox but this appears only for the US market not the UK market which is a shame that it is not included
Initially this was not much use at all. Would only recognise the radio. No use for steering wheel and other switches. However, to be fair, they are now looking into this with a view to sorting out the problem. Full marks for a productive response.
The app is really helpful, it has prepared me on how to operate my new Leaf, when I collect it on the 8th October. I have test driven one recently, it didn't take long to get to grips with the basics, however. I will, no doubt keep referring to the Nissan apps for information. Great stuff, i'm 🐝🐝🐝 buzzing!!!
Not detailed enough, e.g. there is no diagram of fuse box to inform which fuse does what, my alarm continually went off and I had to disconnect the battery. I also pointed the camera at the interior light console and it wasn't recognised. It is the same with the user guide. Overall just a quick guide and overview
The best I can say is it's better than nothing. However, I would still be happier if I could download a PDF version. I have already ordered a new Qashqai Tekna + and have asked Nissan several times for a PDF version so I can familiarise myself with the controls. Every time I either get no reply or I'm told they don't have one. Then they come out with this clunky long-winded app. The car was great to drive. It deserves much better.
Now fixed! (Jul 2019). Unable to open on Samsung galaxy tab 2 (no longer works after update - 27 May 2019) - this was resolved (9th Apr 2019) . (Issue: App kept crashing. The URL for the developers Web site does not work. * After reinstalling latest version, App crashes after downloading guide for Nissan Qashqai) . App says guide is downloaded.)
Very helpful and easy to navigate.
The app is rubbish. Apart from giving info which is available in the user manual, I can't see the point of it. My Navara is a 2019 model, I should be able to access more detailed info. It won't even let me update the map or infotainment software!
YD25DDTI ENGINE If you look at the diagram and actually did your own oil and coolant change you would actually put coolant in where the oil should go and oil where the coolant should go. I can't believe nobody as actually picked up on this before releasing the app out to the general public. I wonder what the comeback would be if someone actually did this.
Doesn't work with my Sony XA1 and the New Nissan Leaf download. I just get a blank screen in Explore. Also blank screen in Settings. Assistance screen gives a perpetual busy indicator.
Ok for quick searches when you have a warning light, but not a real guide. Also for warnings, the information is very scarce.
Lovely and user friendly app! Would love a bit more simplified car-finding section in terms that there are x amount of Qashqai (just put engine type and that's all).
This app is rubbish. Aim the camera at a switch or anything else and nothing happens, no pop up information or anything. Tried this on new Qashqai lots of times but maybe an update is needed. Please try to fix this.
Very small selection of the vehicles. Only two generations. Should have much more. Only it it could be as good as Volvo's app .
Doesn't have facility to select a specific model so that most of the information is of little use. Pretty basic and vague.
Just bought a second hand 18 plate quasqui and app doesn't pick up any buttons when I explore!! cant find production date on docs but first registered 31.07.18, N-connecta Dig-T
We have a Nissen Duke which was registered in 2017 having clicked on the icons for warning lights for this vehicle type they don't tally up ie oil warning light on front screen actually links to parking brake light lots more doing the same surely that's wrong

What I actually wanted was an app that would tell me specific information about my model of car ,and not like the 740pages i received with the car full of ifs and buts fitted applicable to all of the models.ie qashqai.
Much better than manual.
Down loaded on my Lenovo yoga tab 3. Tried several times to select English language, gave up as the app continually failed, so i had to delete it ((
Very good the feedback should two ways, it could be good for Nissan and lead to improved products, although Nissan's is a good product.
Symbol on the dash of my 2017 Micra that doesn't appear to be in the app or thin physical manual. No idea what it means
Would have sooner had the Nissan Connect app than this. Its useful but I could use my smartphone phone and Google it.
An extremely poor App. which is quick to dispell support for the MKII Qashqai. Really think Nissan may be "Running" before they have learnt to "Walk"!

Excellent tool, gives you basic information on systems and how to use them, will not replace drivers handbook, but is a quick guide to how you car works.
