agree with all the other posts. The App isn't worth it. Phone connects via bluetooth and you can stream music from any app on your phone. It displays on the screen without the need of this app. I want to use Waze and downloaded this app in hopes I could install it as an app, but no such luck. At least I was able to remove the Facebook and Google Search app buttons. uninstalled it from my phone. I'll continue to use my phone for navigation.

Useless. It does nothing. It rarely works. Try to manually open it when it won't work and it says disconnected and there is no way to connect it manually, even though the car is on. It does nothing. I can stream audio from my phone via Bluetooth without this. Why do it need this? For Facebook? Who does that while driving? For Google maps and trip advisor? I can hear the map through audio from my phone via Bluetooth. This is just poorly done. I expected better from Nissan.

Woefully disappointing, having to click through multiple screens to get to the features is a lame design. the buttons should be on the main screen without having to go through layers of web pages. Worst "convenience" app I've ever seen. Beyond disappointing and one would expect more from Nissan. Simply put, this app doesn't provide any value over the key fob and completely misses the mark so I won't even consider a pay subscription.

It crashes literally everytime I use it. I thought maybe it was due to signal loss or something but it happens when that can't be the case. I have gotten to the point where it's just not worth it to use because you get maybe 10 mins before it crashes and then you have to try and deal with getting Nav or Audio up via some other means. This app seriously needs some bug fixes!

Just like most of the reviews this app is a waste of time. Ultimately I want it so I can plan my journey on the PC with Google maps and then use the send to car option. Having spent 5 hours 8 phone calls to Nissan and even our IT company having a go we gave in. This should be a great app with lots of potential, instead it's a complete waste of time.

This must be one of the worst apps I've ever attempted to use. Just goes round in circles trying to connect with my car audio system. A complete waste of memory on my phone and waste of my time. Now thinking of changing my allegiances to Nissan if they can't find someone who can write source code......especially as cars are becoming more and more dependent on software. Poor show!

EDIT: Lowering my review from 5 stars to 1 star because, even though it let me add my new car on, it always shows as disconnected. My Pandora never works. I can play it through Bluetooth, but not the app, which means I cannot use it as it is supposed to be used. It just constantly gives me a message to make sure the app is set up correctly. I don't understand why it doesn't just connect automatically.

I have to agree with all the other review. This app is completely useless. I spent so much time trying to get it connected, which failed every time. From what I can tell, you get facebook and twitter..(in Canada) ..not sure why you need those when driving. The most frustrating part is the promise that the app does more than it does. My car says I have 1 gig of space to install apps. But as mentioned, there are only two apps that can be installed. Kill the app, use apple car play or Android auto.....

Well that's a frustrating hour of my life I won't get back. Tried to use with Hire Car. Only useless apps available, like I want to use Twitter or Eurosport whilst driving. Nothing useful like Google maps, or a music app. Google search, wonderful things at the touch of a button, what button would that be. Now both Bluetooth on car and phone say "connected" app says 'Not'. Too many incompetent app creators about. I would hate to have seen this before the "bug fixes and performance improvements

9 out of 10 times it doesn't connect and when it does it may or may not work. Get error messages saying update the app, (when there are no updates) or restart my phone. It's a hassle to get my phone connected. Had to download drive app to force it to connect but even with that still have to use my phone for controls since it's not 100% connected to my vehicle.

Uninstall this app! What a nightmare... interrupted both the navigation system and my phone. Nothing was working. I had to pull over and try to fix it after driving around in circles because my phone AND the navigation systems were competing with different information. My phone froze, had to reboot. Ugh! Could not turn off the dash navigation....horrible.

Why is social media on this? Who needs that while driving? I actually use Google Maps, and that's a useful app for a car to have. Why isn't it supported? Or Apple Maps for those that use it. Why not have more music apps? Furthermore, I can play music on my phone and just connect via bluetooth to play it, so what's the point, really?

Dear Nissan, this app and your OS is simply disappointing and dated. The apps are limited, and some can't even be used in Australia. Even with the limited apps available (3) some features cant be used while driving! Please consider that more than one person can be in the car and can operate the apps for the driver. Seriously update your your interface, you really need to catch-up with the times and the competition. This almost cost you a car, but you're lucky that's not the only deciding factor.

Believe this app hasn't been updated for some time, it is possible that it isn't supported any more. Limited access for Android users. These phones after 2017 don't seem to be usable. IoS users seem to be fine with linking to Nissan cars, even latest models. Repeatedly locked out, despite resetting passwords and using the correct email address. The 'call' for support button doesn't link to a telephone number, nor does the app guide you to one. A poor after for such a car giant.

The app is terrible. Never connects when you need it and the car denies that you've even got a phone connected. Such a shame as its a nice idea but fails miserably. Come on Nissan. Don't give up on the owners of slightly older cars - we need an update to improve the reliability of the app and allow us to actually use it for the designed purpose. Don't just concentrate on the newer cars with Android and Apple car stuff. We deserve to be respected and looked after too.

unreliable and doesn't do much. with the app open and BT on it will allow online services in the car 6/10 times. PLEASE have a section in The app to type a postcode, in order for it to be sent to car. SHOULD be able to send address from phone to car. NOT computer - phone - car. unless Google maps app can have feature to send to phone (car).

Jam. C. Dec 14, 2018

Waste of space. Very hit n miss in connecting. Doesn't seem to support phones after Galaxy S7. Hasn't been updated in over a year. Still shows Pandora app when it's not accessible in Aus. Occasionally will connect. When it does, google maps send to car is great. Thats the only redeemable feature.

Tom. H. Jan 13, 2020

Absolutely the worst app I could imagine. Registration and setup is pain, it took long to find the correct account/app combination to connect to the car as there are several apps available and several Nissan portals where you can register. Most of the time endless loading, connection errors, freezing. It is much faster for me to go physically to my car and turn on the heating than to try doing it using this app.

My phone bluetooth-pairs with my XTerra without this or any other app, for basic phone and music streaming. This app runs but won't do anything useful. With the phone already paired and streaming music, the app says it can't find any vehicle to connect with. Huh??? Useless. Uninstalling.

Ash. M. Jun 25, 2019

This app is terrible. It continues to go off and on. I disconnected and uninstalled twice and the same issues occured. It will work one week or two and issues the next. Don't even mention transferring the info from my phone to my car. OMG more issues. It works for about a week then stops. I love mt car but hate the app. If I could get this feature out mt car, I would.

The Nissan Connect service is no longer supported for 2016 and older models. Nissan discontinued the app three years after purchase of vehicle (2019) in favor of newer technology. The three-year subscription was disclosed in a letter to me, but not until 30 days after purchase of vehicle. It is impossible to upgrade the stock system to the newer technology. I miss being able to send addresses to my car from my pc. Now, I have to manually enter addresses for the onscreen navigation. I also liked being able to search google directly from the navigation panel (obviously when the car is parked) so I wouldn't have to manually enter addresses and phone numbers into contacts. I love my Nissan, but am so disappointed that Nissan expects me to "upgrade" my ride every three years.

No probs connecting via bluetooth for audio and calls, work great. Then try to use the app, out of five apps, only want to use google for, google. The rest, social stuff that I have no use for while driving. Facebook connects, Google, nope. Would of been nice to use the display for nav rather than showing the song playing off my phone.

Kel. S. Feb 14, 2020

Stopped working and no amount of uninstall followed by reinstall works. I remember how difficult it was to set up in first place so put off trying to try again. But once installed constantly comes up with disconnected. Absolutely rubbish. Sort it out! Over promised features does not win customer loyalty.

brutal. it diesnt even let me customize texts, did before but now keeps saying not compatable with my Samsung 8! What? the maps are horrible and wrong. Where is the update? It's a 2 yrs old 2016 Platinum Murano . my 2nd one. My fav car but for 60 000$ it lacks features I paid to have. Hands free NOT. USELESS AND FEATURES IN NAV WANTS MORE $ FOR WHAT IS STANDARD WITH YOUR COMPETITION! Oh cant forget 7 recalls in 2 yrs.!

Ton. A. Jan 16, 2020

Very poor. For a 2020 car is not fit for purpose. Can't add any apps than what nissan connect give you. No Android Auto. You are restricted to use Facebook Google search Twitter and two others. I want more than that from a 2020 car especially a x trail top of range. I am becoming more an more disappointed with my purchase. My last car was a Ford Galaxy top of the range. Was very happy but wanted to try The X Trail. I might have made a mistake.

Keeps saying I hear radio has to be downloaded on my phone when it already is. Plus it won't always connect. Just keeps getting a loading screen on my vehicle apps button. I hate getting excited about using stuff in my vehicle and then get disappointed it doesn't actually work. 😕 I'd give it 0 stars if I could.
