I have a problem with the auto start a lot. It is hit or miss, even if the doors are locked. You can't remotely lock the doors, then use it. It seems as if the doors have to Be locked manually, Then the auto start will work sometimes. Everything else tends to work OK the lock doors the unlock find my car works great!
works fairly well. there are some nuisances that you have to figure out to make like making sure the car is locked before the engine will start, otherwise it will tell you service failed buy it won't say why.... that's my main gripe. The other significant issue is the service is operated via satellite so it won't work in very poor weather. For example, when it's snowing cats and dogs the remote start doesn't reliably work. the service doesn't say why though... UI is great though, mad props there
Pros: Alert notifications for vehicle health. Works like GM's On Star(R) system (supposedly). Cons: It expires (even if you continue to own the vehicle). Requires subscription (applies to all Nissan vehicles that offer it). Limited functionality where your remote can actually do more. Useless when your vehicle isn't within range (can't even use it to locate your vehicle). Nissan should just focus on providing a proper GPS/Navigation software for their vehicles.
I had the My Chevrolet app before and this is similar but works far better...connects quicker, updates quicker just a better app overall....well that was a few months ago. Now I hate it. Fails to start the vehicle or fails to lock it. Have to lock it using the app in order to start it with the app. By that time I'm standing next to it so it's pointless and worthless. Failed to start three times AFTER I locked it. Let your trial run out and DO NOT PAY FOR IT.
It only works when it feels like it. Haven't even been able to log in the last two days because "system timed out." And when I can log in, it allows me to successfully start my car about... 1/3 of the time on the first try. Usually it takes 2 or 3 tries and sometimes after that it still doesn't start.
Technology seems to be making our lives better everyday. This service saves me from myself , by allowing me to fix my forgetful mistakes!
It is convenient to start car for heating or cooling. The app takes a long time to open and connect. then it takes just as long for the start process after the start buttons pushed. if those slow downs could be fixed I would give it 5 stars.
If I'm fortunate enough for the app to open! It typically says unable to connect to the server! I try 1/2 hour or so & same thing. And once I can get in, it takes quite a while to start the car. DEVELOPERS: DO YOU EVEN READ YOUR CUSTOMERS FRUSTRATIONS??? I previously had a Chevrolet with Onstar & it was wonderful!!! Come on Nissan-get it together!!!
Great Add On for convenience. I really like the remote start for when the weather is extreme hot or cold. Also like the diagnostic it gives you on your vehicle. I know the diagnostic is not like taking it to the shop for a check but at least it may give u a heads up to lurking trouble.
Sometimes this app tells you it was successful at completing the action you've requested, when it really hasn't. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's annoying when it does. Overall I like the app...it's super convenient when it works!
First off it's nice to start the car anywhere, but there needs to be a way to share access to the app with someone else. It is almost impossible to get connected to the app the first time. I can't even login on a different device gives the error of wrong password or email when I know it's the right one.
I have been able to use this app 2 times since getting the new car now it won't let me log in just flashes and goes back to login screen. Sure glad I didn't pay for this. Even uninstalled it and reinstalled the app still no change. Nissan you need to fix the app. No impressed.
I paid for this service and despite 6 calls to customer and technical support and multiple "try this" attempts I still get an error that my account is expired. No one seems to know how to fix it. I'm just asking now for a refund. I've never not even once been able to use the app and service.
This app is a total waste of money. Not only do we have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars, but they make you pay for this app which doesn't even work half the time. I specifically renewed it so I can start my car with ease during the winter months. 9 out of 10 times it fails to start through the app. Nothing is wrong with the car! Thanks for nothing. Don't waste your money.
Ive had this app for less than 3 weeks and I've had to call customer service twice soon to be three tomorrow. First it wouldn't allow me to set it up and I had to call you complete the set up process. It worked for a week but then failed to recognize my sign in credentials saying my email didn't exist. When I called I found out that a completely different email was associated with the account which didn't belong to me. The representative fixed it.Now it's telling me my email doesn't exist again!
I've got a 2016 Altima. The app used to work, but now it refuses to connect with my phone. Tried for an hour now. Nothing. Says the car is not compatible. BS!! It worked when we bought the car new in 2016. Ready to trade for another Chevy!!
Great app with good features. The communication between app and vehicle takes way to long and often times out or does not interact. Takes to long for features to work.
How the hell do you get this app to recognize your login credentials? I literally connected from the MyNissan app and tried to use the same login and nothing. It works on the website but not the app. 4/10/22: updated the app that finally worked and when I login says unrecognized credentials. Seriously stop breaking it
Great app when it works. Often has difficulty signing in. And app repeatedly closes. I have gone almost 6,000 miles and app still says no action required for oil. I used dealer site to schedule service. Door lock and start is great. App just needs a little work...
Worst app half the features dont work. When you call and try to explain they just hang up on you. Very bad customer service. Over the course of a year sometimes it would work but most times is does not. Also seems over time I have started to lose more things that the app does. From mileage updates and tire pressure and components are unavailable such as the airbags and oils service are showing unavailable. It shows it will update to current date/time but just shows old data.
very useful specially the early engine start before heading to the Car. the precise car locator everytime i check the car at the map. car doors lock and unlock is very helpful.
I must say that I had high expectations for this app. I previously owned a 2019 Ford Explorer and fell in love with their "FREE" app that had full access in one place. So when I downloaded the Nissan Connect app and found out that I had to pay $12 a month just to have access to remote start. Then to find out that all of your other vehicle information was in a seperate app. WHAT?! Considering what I paid for my car I cannot believe they don't include the start option in the Free version. :-(
