NIU Scooter

Great scooter, MQI GT EVO, bad app. Still needs improvement... There are issues with the time zone, telephone registration doesn't work properly, errors on the screen on the bike don't show on the test (everything seems ok ), the settings are limited (you should be able to limit the speed or change the ride mode from the app), the personaization of the bike trough the app us almost zero... You can not save anything on the map... Can't plan any route... Lots of things to be improved.

I have been using the app for 8 months without issue. Last week the app forced me to upgrade the software version. After which the binding was lost. I have tried endlessly to re bind but all it says is that it will contact the owner for verification. I AM THE OWNER!!! I have received nothing either by email or by phone. However I still receive notifications of vibrations etc, but no info Re the bike, battery, charging etc because it thinks that it in not bound. I have contacted Niu but awaiting

This app makes me so frustrated. Errors for unexplained security issues, verification messages time out before they are received, and I can't just login with my Google account. It's so frustrating when the scooter hardware seems solid. Very very disappointing.

The only keeping this app from being 5 stars is the fact that it constantly logs me out. Then there are always difficulties binding with Bluetooth so I have to depend on the QR code. Please enable an option to always stay logged in, maybe fingerprint enabled so we don't have to grab our QR code or use the Bluetooth method. Thanks in advance!

Im missing custom properities. Why cant change the blinker sound over the app to a self uploaded one because the aviable ones are boring! Why cant adjust the speedlimit in the app? It limits to 115kmh on Evo but it could go faster! Why not allow to upload custom Hud Interface? Id like to have full access to my scooter firmware and subsystems to customize it. How to change the welcome sound? But great scooter so far! Mqi Gt Evo!

A mixed bag with the app sometimes but it's been very good for quite a while now. Overall very happy with the developer support if there's an issue.

Unable to use the scooter not in e save mode (KQi2) because I can't complete the tutorial because it just gives me unknown error and exits me out. Please update this.

Nov 2019: Great app. Can see past routes, battery level, run diagnostics, update bike firmware, etc. Still possibly room for more though... 😉 Oct 2020: App WAS great with first bike (U-Pro). Got an MQi+ Sport in June 2020 and when parked up, switched off and alarm set, the app constantly shows my battery is at 0%. For a brand that's selling their product as SMART this is a dire flaw. Four months on (Oct 2020) still no fix.

The quick lock feature is wrong as it is described in this app (at least for the scooter kqi3 pro). To lock your scooter without the app, hold the power button while the screen is on for 5 sec and then rhe scooter gets locked.

I was away for about a week, i disconnected my battery. My ECU battery also went down and thus Scooter became disconnected and thus didn't show anything in app. After I came back and inserted battery, App still couldn't find the scooter and ask me to login and bind again and i forgot my login credentials. After i bind it again using another account, full version is unavailable. App should have easily connected with the scooter once i inserted the battery again so that this hassle wont be there.

Very happy with my KQi3 Pro purchase. - Only thing I would like for the app to do Is to connect automatically without me having to do so -

Please bring cruise control and let us get to 32km/h on Europe for the KQi3 (I have sport). Include a feedback section in the app.

The device binding only remembers your scooter over mobile data. When using wifi, the scooter will be missing. The binding also follows the specific Android device, so you have to deregister your scooter from your old phone (even if you uninstalled the app) before using it on a new one.

When I 1st got the bike and app everything was in mph but now its changed to kph and nothing I do will make it change back! Rubbish

Jus got my KQi3 PRO ... ITS NICE ... GOT IT CONNECTED THRU S/N ... going 10 mph fast ... reading now to learn how to change it to go as states .... 19.5 mph ... will post another review ... so far so good .. 👍

Piece of scrap junk with bike, cant even login anymore. U piece of scrap and useless junk

Great app with a sh***y bug in it. It's showing my battery at zero percent half the time. And I keep getting the battery communication error. How are we supposed to feel secure and safe when I can't communicate with my bike. Also think the check is a gimmick. My bike wouldn't go on ready mode and the check showed everything was great, 100 points. ECU battery meter also doesn't work. Interface is nice. Easyish 2use. Map is accurate. But the above issues brings it to 2 stars. I have contacted niu

I cannot register. To use this app you need to register with either your email address or phone number. Both paths are currently broken. If you chose email a message in the app tells you that the email has been sent but the email is never received (not even in spam folder). If you chose telephone then the app pauses for a while and then displays a message "operation timed out". App is totally broken. Zero stars.

I updated the ECU after about 3 weeks as the temperature never showed. That didn't do it. Then there was an update which did that ok. I don't know what else it did. Just this second did a third update, no reasons given, nothing noticeable in the App. I want the App to show mph, but the option is not there. Please do, must be simple. Took a while to know where things are, not intuitive but all there. Not sure if alert is working, will contact my dealer first. Tells me the basics which is fine, ta.

Basic information is there. Still lots of potential to be expected and improvements to be made. GPS routes are buggy. Map implementation needs a lot of improvement. How about setting destinations a la Google Maps or Waze? I bought a premium model (with questionable parts quality). I should at least get premium service and apps.

The app easy don't get me wrong. The communication of the app and bike is horrible. I can't correct my time on the bike nor change kilometers to miles per hour. I tried changing it in the app, signing out, unbinding then binding again and still nothing. Also lastly my charts of recent rides only show one address however the miles would be different. Major glitch in the system. Also I feel the new update glitched out some of the bikes speed.

Ok in general, it's a useful app, but it looses connection with the scooter occasionally, I don't know why. I spoke to the importer about the loss of communication, BUT after the last update the range estimation got really messed up- it usually showed ~70km @ 100% battery, now it shows ~45km @100% battery ( the scooter barely has 500km and 2 months old so battery it's new as well). Please fix the app! L.E. thank you for listening to customer feedback, it's perfect now! :)

Can't register. When I enter my password it says connection timed out . PLEASE FIX THIS. I'M not only one experiencing this check the other reviews !!!

Good app but needs an option for MPH for us americans. Your selling world wide, got to account for that..

Great app. I have just one suggestion. In past routes screen there could be approx battery use or percent of use in each 10km (or more) so you can see which route is more battery efficient and how much each route approx. drained the battery. All other features are there is just that one I'm often missing ;)
