NIV Bible by Olive Tree

This has been a good app for me. Sometimes I need a specific book and passage; sometimes I just want to read from particular books. I can do that all with this app. I also like the additional reading options provided in this version. Much appreciated!

I tried 5 or 6 others and found them to have distracting color bars at top and/or bottom, or were not intuitively easy to use. One of the others had a "night mode" but a BRIGHT red menu bar. When I read the Bible in the early morning, I've just awakened and it is still dark outside. This Bible app can be set to black background with light grey letters (or red for words of Jesus) which my old sleepy eyes can read easily. I can set the desired font size as well. Thanks for keeping it SIMPLE.

Love love love!!! So easy to write study notes for a particular verse or even just to write Bible notes. So many great resources to download, many at very reasonable prices. Sometimes can even get then free or very greatly reduced if you watch the comments from the shop. Is the only Bible app, but also the only Bible I go to now as I always have it with me

I like being able to read the bible in a style that makes sense of the KJ version. What I do not like about the app is when trying to highlite sections you have to stop and pick a color everytime..hate that so stopped highlighting. Just stick to one color. Also when you look up definitions they never really show you any.

Easy and simple to use. Though I would love to see more features added to it such as referencing and brief description of some important verses. I love the fact that it is always very handy 😍

Very easy to navigate and practical features and layout.

I was enjoying reading my Bible until they added the spill at.the top and bottom. Now it blocks out part of the scripture. Loser.

Love having the Word wherever and whenever...It's so nice and convenient to locate scriptures by key words !!! The devotional guides are also excellent free features. Thank you for this app. God bless you! Amen

Have used "Olive Tree" for years and never disappointed in how it works or how many free items they offer in the library... Highly recommended!!!

I've been noticing missing sections of certain books - like in Mark and Psalms - and I can't access those sections of the Bible.

Positive: No ads! That would be so annoying when you're trying to read. Also, the settings are adjustable to you can change the font and scrolling ability, which I did right away Constructive Feedback: When I first downloaded this, the vertical scrolling wasn't enabled yet, and there was a design flaw that blocked a full line at the bottom. Also, I haven't found an audio option, so I don't think there is one

I've been using the app for about a month. easy to find the book & chapter you want. there seem to be a lot of footnotes but I can't figure out how to access those. so, basic reading functions are very user friendly, and more.advanced stuff not so much. it does not seem to use too much battery, as long as you remember to close it before letting your phone sleep.

This app works great except for one problem I'll mention in a moment. It has useful stuff like multiple book marks, highlighting verses, and adding notes to verses. Also has cross references and notes embedded in the bible text (unless these are part of an add-on book I purchased). DEVELOPERS: please fix the method to select a range of text by adding buttons I can tap to move the selection markers forward or backward one character at a time. Present method is VERY tricky. (software bugs?)

I loved this app at first. The NIV Bible on my phone, with the ability to do searches, use comparative translations, and take notes. Unfortunately, with the this latest update, it's become positively useless. Of what use is a Bible app, when it takes over an hour to open a previously downloaded Bible on a fast phone? That's just ridiculous. Despite the nice interface and ability to download so many public domain Bible translations, it's completely useless if you can't even open them.

This app is amazing!!! I love to study the word. Although I have always struggled to find the best way to get a comprehensive well rounded grasp of life topics by scanning book by book trying to gain understanding. The pre-set readings are a great tool to read. I have a better understand of the Bible, like I do when my Pastor preaches from it.

Everything is great so far except, the highlight, a lot of times I try to highlight verses and it jumps around and I can't get the arrows to move in the direction I want to highlight, but I do love the study part being able to look at other verses that relate to the subject I am studying! Fix the highlight movement and I will give it 5 🌟

I am getting very frustrated. The app keeps kicking me out, freezing and losing my place that I leave off at.

Easy to use, beautiful daily verses, multiple translations. Found this specific app when I got my new phone.

There are no ads and that is great. However, I had this app for at least 2 years and when I tried to update it, the complete thing froze, causing me to delete and reinstall. As a result I lost all my saved notes. Besides that I find it to be just wonderful.

I love that I can enjoy reading the Lords word and understand it... If your like me & stuggel trying to understand the Bible... NIV Bible is amazing

I use the app daily. I love the ease of use. I really appreciate that there are no adds.

The ap itself is ok. But I abhor yearly fees. If you pay for a Bible you don't want the salesman coming back every year with his hand out for more.....

I've been using this app for several years and it is one of the more functional and versatile apps of its kind. The only reason that I rated it a 4 is because it sometimes the bookmarks disappear, or it hangs up and has to be forced stopped and restarted. All in all it is a very useful and flexible product.

Good navigation, get other related verses. Would like the option to have it read audibly to me sometimes.

I see one problem everybody is complaining about. After u install the app it works like two days it stops opening until u uninstall & reinstall again all times...waste of data, unfortunately i emailed u and no help from ur respinse

Very great Bible app. It has helped me alot in my deep understanding of the word of God as I study it using the app. I have been using it for over 10 years.
