NIV Study Bible Verses

Great basic Bible for your phone. It has the option of listening instead of reading, and the narration is professionally recorded. What bothers me most about the app is its name is very deceptive. The real NIV Study Bible is a well-respected, in-depth version, with tons of study aids. This is NOT that in the least! It's just the basic NIV text with optional narration, and that's it! Quite deceptive. Also features quite intrusive ads, and collects usage data unless you manually turn it off.

Thank you so much! It's the first one that has lasted without presenting problems that cause me to uninstall. Every aspect of the app is perfect for me as far as easy understanding and a pleasant narrator's voice. I would like to know how to make the offline audio run from chapter to chapter without stopping. I can understand stopping after each book..maybe something I'm not doing correctly?

Very very easy to use, the narrator has a very nice voice. Plus with the user interface being so easy to use it would be an amazing app for the elderly. The only problem with it is that the narration doesn't have a place holder, so if you're halfway through a chapter and exit out you have to fastforward next time and it takes a little while to buffer. But still five stars.

I like the print & ease with reading. That is all I want. I don't like the blinking lights, that bar across, the top or that note pad at the bottom. Also, The devil gets in the details with ads...it cheapens the Bible. It reminds me of Jesus going after the money changers in the temple. I'm not technology literate. I don't know what all the bells & whistles are for...you don't say. I can't seem to find an NIV Bible that isn't a study Bible. I DID NOT give this version 5 stars...I gave only one.

I enjoy the option to choose between hearing the word and reading the word. The voice you selected to read the word was an excellent choice. He has over dramatised the word, but made it conversationally very real. The setting and outline are easy to understand, and allows the reader to search out what is of interest. Yes, I find myself thoroughly enjoying thiswell planned and thought out bible study.

Last week I downloaded the NIV Study Bible app and use it every day. Several things I like. The background and don't make it easy to read. It has an automatic scroll feature, and I can set the speed of the scrolling. Since this is where I go for my daily Bible reading, it is so convenient that the app indicates where I last ended my reading. Excellent app.

You can't change the color of the text and the light blue text on beige background is very hard on the eyes. Do not recommend for extended reading as it strains your eyes.

I love most everything about this app. Ther are 2 things that I wish it had. First, the ability to change font size. Second the change background color to white. The tan is not comfortable for my eyes. I highly recommend this over Any other!!!!!

I installed the app on the assumption that,it has study notes. But I can't see any! So I wonder why it's called a study bible at all! The good thing about it is that, you don't have to scroll while reading it, scrolls itself. However there are times when it is very fast and there are no guidelines on how to control the speed. There are times when the voice disappears, at other times it comes long after you've tapped on it.

Just downloaded but it's a good one so far. No ads, clear font and layout that makes interesting reading. The audio is excellent with a good pace and clearly audible. I only wish there were a parallel version like KJV side by side. Thanks.

Update 2/2022. Somee of the ads do not seem appropriate for a Bible App. I am in my In 60's, and upgrades in technology for mobile phones and laptops gets a little more difficult each year. This App is easy to use. Love to read the new posted verse each day. Many Thanks.

Can be wonderful but don't use it during the church service or in Bible Study groups because of the pop-up ads with with sound being disruptive. Just use personally by yourself. I understand that ads are needed to support the app but the ads need to be silent.

Love it! I am reading along with the audio(outstanding!) as the Word scrolls along automatically. Additionally, having the study tools all in one place helps me to immerse myself into a topic. A great, "Thank you," to my brother for introducing this app to me.

So far my experience has been good. Although a suggestion would be to have the voice reading the bible back to you read it word for word instead of changing it. Oh I can't use the highlight part either that needs work as well.

Easy to use with lots of good features. I like the voice and use of emphasis when listening. I wish the reader would not have used the modern, "inclusive" language.

This is very useful and handy, whenever you hunger and thirst for word of God, it is just a one click away. Audio clarity is good. Very easy to use. Function of highlighter is awesome.

I use the audio, and every book when you get to the last chapter it skips the last chapter and goes to the next book. Very annoying. Plus I read along with the audio and over half of the audio does not read word for word with the text.

I simply Love the word of GOD presented in NIV. Great translation but the narrator does not read along word for word. Sometimes when I close the app then later return it has me several chapters back from where I actually left off. But good app nevertheless.

The niv Bible interface is great! And having some good features like Highlighting the words with color options, writing notes, and can also switch to a dark theme. But, for the verse of the day needs improvement to uplift, increase individuals spiritual faith.

The rolling text will not keep up with audio for some reason. I looked for a setting for this but could not find one. This is my only complaint and i like the the voice choice on this app.

I like it but Wont let me remove adds are very anoying.Its hard to consentrate when theres adds please fix this issue and also doesnt let you have bookmark to mark where you leave off and sometimes forget where I left off.Cant enlarge the font.Only good thing is you can highlight thats why I keep but looking to see if I find one that is better that does everything Im looking for.It would be nice if issues were fixed though.

Some chapters are automatically pausing the audio version or aren't just able to play so instead it just skips the chapter which is so disturbing.However, I truly liked the Bible. I was enjoying until it became too much.

It's good, very easy to understand the context because of the simple English... very easy to locate a book, chapter and verse..l love it!!

This app is beautiful! You can highlight and underline key versus also if you get tired of reading they have it on tape in the app the only problem is the guy who's reading it is reading from a different version

I really like the vocal reading, I tend to get very sleepy reading, and dose off. Also, the person reading puts expression, unlike the ones that are just monotone, or computer read.

So far, I really like this app. It is easy to navigate through it, easy to read and understand. When I have several verses to look up, it always easy to find the books, the chapters and verses. It is a great app!!!!

I love the app! But you can't close it down easy. When you are listening to the recoreded version Try to shut it down and continues to talk! There should be a log out button. Complicated!
