Being a contractor I needed something like this. Just got it today and been checking out all the colors in my house. Awesome product!!

Quite useful, but the two separate apps is driving me absolutely crazy especially since only one can be connected to the device at one time. Without something like an "expert mode" that can be unlocked to look at both LCH at the same time as paint colors this will annoy me every time I use this app.

This app could be so much better. Why are there 2 apps, digital & paint? Why not just one app (say paint) which also shows you the digital values. Then, there are flaws with each app. Why can't I save and label scans? In the digital app, they are under recent, but you can't label them, which would be so simple. In the paints app you only appear to be able to save paints not the scan itself. Another thing, if you scan something in digital, then want to find the paint colour, you can't. You have to rescan, but guess what, you might not be near the scanned surface, and anyway as I said before in the paint app, you can't save the scan itself. So, please combine the apps, add the ability to save scans and name them and make it easy to search for the nearest match across all of your libraries.

I may change this review in time but, I am a decorator, and I was given a nix colour sensor to try out. The "excellent colour match" so far has been perfect PROVIDING you are trying to match the colour in the brand of paint originally applied. if try and find a match in tikkurila on a wall originally painted in Dulux it can only give their closest version. I think bad reviews here largely come down to user error for this reason. Either accept slight variation or use a wider range of brands? 🤷‍

I held off purchasing this product for a time as I couldn't see how it could be effective for the relatively small investment... I was wrong. This little scanner and associated app in nothing short of amazing. Easy to use, incredibly accurate and a time saver. Well done.

My first unit didn't work properly, was completely off. Customer service was great and sent me a new without questions. The new one is better, but testing directly on colour chips, it's close. As a painter I use on walls, but always double check with SW or BM swatches

Awful product. Save your self money and get a sample from wall and take to store, they will do a better job matching. This junk did not match any of my walls. Tried it on 4 walls and each excellent match reccomended was off. Waste of paint and money. In addition, just stopped pairing with phone. Tried everything, uninstalled left to recharge but now i have a $100 paper weight.

Pretty cool but not 100% I am using a brand new color swatch selection it has all the colors from Benjamin Moore and it scans I would about 75% correct and sometimes the actual color is further down the list of good matches. But nice is you don't have the away h booklet.

Not one of the smooth clean indoor surfaces I used Behr paint on several years ago & no longer had the original Behr paint can for, well my $99 Nix identified a Behr paint as a match and my phone screen showed what looked close to the correct color. But when I paid $30 for 3 pints to test, there was not one match. So I have 99.95 + 30.00 + sales tax = 133.10 into this surefire higher priced digital paint matching thing that I really need to use right now but it does not work as advertised.

Its ok... needs support for other paint colors. I have submitted a ticket for Dutch Doy support. Would be nice if nix digital wasn't a separate app. Would also like to see nearest Pantone color to the scanned color.

So far so good, I use it mostly to match colors in renovation work. Would really like the two apps to be combined, very annoying. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

So far Nix is 98% accurate! I think it is a fantastic little tool, I will take it every where I need to match paint colours.

Been so useful. I work in store design, so really helpful to get all the substrate and paint finishes matching. Also use Digi app. to match online

Lis. O. Dec 28, 2021

Colours are not all accurate but if you want a general guess that is a few shades off then this would be great for you

L. B. Mar 11, 2020

When i first got this it had only one colour brand i could use. After setting region i then had to reload library to receive info on taubmans and wattyl paints qhicb is my main brands other than dulux. My first review on this product wasnt to kind but after reloading library it helped.

All I can say is waste of money , tried it twice , the color matches in the app but when I got the actual paint it wasn't the same color .

Improve your app on Android devices! My android phone recognizes the device and can connect to it using bluetooth but the app is not finding the device. Who wrote this app?

Ben. S. May 12, 2022

Hi I carnt get the Australian region on it

I have just received my nix sensor and playing around with it. It's showing promising results but still to early to give it 5stars.

Cor. T. Oct 21, 2019

Use it all the time at work. I'm a paint expert at home hardware and this comes in handy. I got 2 free nixs' and gave one to a paint contractor I sell lots of paint to and she loves it

Dav. E. Jun 7, 2019

Absolutely great. I'm a contractor and this is very useful with my trade. I've been Painting and designing for 15 years.

Nig. A. Nov 27, 2021

Nothing wrong with app, but nix itself gave up connection to phone after three uses, didn't quite pay for itself in my book

C.. A. May 11, 2021

Hac. S. Nov 22, 2020

Not super accurate but gets pretty close. Useful tool.

G. C. Nov 26, 2020

Great fun! I'm inventorying the colors of everything I own.

Emi. G. Mar 3, 2020

Extremely easy to use, and quite accurate

Cat. I. Apr 25, 2020

It's ok. Lacking compared to similar color sensor apps.

Mic. C. Apr 18, 2021

Doesn't seem to work well with darker colors

Nic. C. Jul 11, 2021
