NKJV Bible by Olive Tree

I am a pastor and Olivetree's app has been my go-to for years. It's search options are simple and comprehensive and I have not found a more responsive interface. The program also allows you to copy a section of text that when pasted it comes into your document with decent formatting. I highly recommend this app. It can also function well as your basic reader the highlighter options are nice.

It starts of great then after about 2 weeks it updates the it starts having issues such as when I use the navigation bar it goes back to the main page real fast then it keeps doing that just going back to the main page no matter what I do it repeats itself again and again I have uninstall it then reinstall it it's frustrating especially just before church so fix the updates and I will give it a better review,thanks

By far the best Bible app I've ever used. I love the ability to switch between versions quickly, to make notes, highlights, and the other features. A job well done to the developers.

What more can you ask. The supporting verses is the best part. I hope they can also add highlights and note within the notes. It would be great

This Bible app. It is very so good to use like your real Bible please I recommend every body of christ to install it in your smartphone and you can't be deceived. God bless. AMEN!

A great app! Easy to use... the study centre has excellent tools to help you study the bible , make notes, verse comparison as well as different bible comparisons. It also offers other resources that can be downloaded and or purchased (including audio purchases). Also, love the verse of the day option

I like the fact that you can delve more deeply into the Bible thru the various reading plans. I would like, if you could, select a Bible verse and relate it to today's time. I've heard people ask "But how does the Bible and its teachings relate to me today?" It's a sound app and would recommend it to anyone.

Most of the time the app works and is very clear and responds quickly. Only very occasionally, does the app malfunction. The best app l have used, with no obtrusive adverts

Best Bible App. After installing and then uninstall dozens of Bible apps, I've finally found one that has everything I want. It's very user-friendly, and the search tool is second to none.

This is the best Bible app on the market! I've installed, and soon after uninstalled, dozens of Bible apps from my phone. Other apps have been lacking functions I like to use, or they are plagued with ads that cover 20% of my screen or pop ups that cover my full screen. This app has everything I want, and its features are not confusing, tedious or difficult to use. The search feature is unparalleled in the Bible app market. This app must have been designed by a serious student of the Bible.

Great choice for reading the NKJV offline! I downloaded it for that purpose and it has not disappointed. I have not spent much time with the other available resources, so I am probably not using it to it's full potential. Olive Tree support is very responsive, so definitely get in touch with them if you have any issues. I initially had a problem with scroll behavior in the app. They helped me fix it within hours of first contract.

I can't overstate how awesome this Bible app is. You get 2 free versions to choose from, and it comes with so many features. Bookmarks, highlights, saved passages, reference notes, study guides, etc. You can also customize the appearance if you prefer different background colors, or day/night mode. I want to say that this app also has daily devotional/study notifications, but I'm not positive. But really at the end of the day, it's a free frickin Bible! Thanks Olive Tree & Harper Collins!

Well, it's very nice to have this solid translation available for free. I do appreciate that. However, the interface is poor. There is nothing at all intuitive about it. It looks like the developers were more interested in being clever than in creating a useful interface. Perhaps worst of all is the overabundance of headings in the text. In some places it's every few verses. When I'm reading God's Word I don't want someone butting in with his opinion on what God is saying! Uninstalled.

When the app worked it was great. The problem is, it would just stop working after running a while. When it froze up, all I would see was the red splash screen and at that point I had to restart my phone to get the app to work again. After the restart all would be well for a little while, then the same thing would happen. Again and again and again.... It just became too much of a hassle to work with. I reached out to customer service, but ultimately that didn't help, so I uninstalled it from my phone. I'm now using My Sword--completely free, no ads and no nags. And it works flawlessly. I gave this NKJV Bible by Olive Tree 2 stars because when it did work, it was a great app, albeit an inconsistent one.

Wow....This is the best bible study app that I have found. The settings are highly customizable. Once you customize it the way you want to, it is so easy to jump around and then come back to the verse you are studying. Its important to play with the settings to achieve the best experience. I love how you can change the screen color to Wheat, which is like serpia and is easier on you eyes. I hope that the developers always do updates so that it works on all tablets and phones.

I love the three-year, through the Bible reading plan -- Every Word in the Bible -- but left open too long, the app causes my phone to go into low memory state. A major flaw. Pros: functionality, such as being able to highlight specific words in a verse instead of the entire verse. I also like the ability to click on verse references and immediately go to the reference. Another con, is no ability to underline a verse and compare it in several other translations -- I switch apps to do this.

This app is user friendly and very helpful. Navigating through the books and verses are done with ease. My only complaint arose after one of the updates which now prevents me from exiting the app with the back button. I have to minimize the screen to close it out. But overall, the app and the features are exceptional

Nice App... Great App. 1. But it's difficult to copy a verse... Though it can be copied. I wished to touch the verse and select an option. 2. There is bookmark, it shows it's working, but I could not find where it got saved. It's not at saved pages, neither is it easy to understand how you safe pages. I have never succeeded in either of these.

I used this app for more than 20 years. It has come a long way since then. Things I like: 1. I have access to lots of Bibles (some free and others not) on my phone 2. Searches are very powerful 3. I can make notes 4. I can backup my notes for free. 5. The main screens can be sync locked or not 6. Great support 7. Many more What I do not like: 1. The app seems to depend on having internet access, on startup. This was not so in older versions. 2. Others, but no space to list them!?

I love this app because it records your reading history for each day. It also opens up to where you had previously stopped reading. However, in particular, I really like the search feature. It has helped me to find a specific verse, and I can limit the search to one or more books, or the entire Bible if I wish. I have not found any other Bible app with these features.

I can't tell you what I like or don't like about it because I can't even log into the app. Setting up a new account was a long frustrating process because of the constant "Invalid username or password" messages. How can a user name and password be invalid when it meets the simple 8+ character minimum? When it finally allowed me to set up the account I went through the same repeated kinds of error messages to log in. When the login was finally accomplished the app stopped running and crashed. After uninstalling and installing again I have the same problem. "LOGIN FAILED". It should not be this frustrating to be able to read the Bible on my phone. No choice but to move on and see what other apps are available.

I like this edition very much, but I had a problem with getting back to 'normal reading' after accidentally going somewhere I didn't want to go into. There was a green bar at the top and bottom of the page and I just couldn't get out of that mode. I ended up in uninstalling, reinstalling but it reverted beck to the green bar at the top and bottom. So now I've uninstalled it again. Very frustrating indeed
