#About the permission to "Allow NLB Mobile to make and manage phone calls"
There is a feature in the app that allows library patrons to initiate a call to the NLB Helpdesk. We are aware that the app will not work if this permission is not given and are currently looking to address the issue. In the meantime, please be assured that the app will never dial out from your phone without your permission. Thank you.

Have no idea what's happened to this app. It was working fine till yesterday. All I get now is a welcome note followed by a message that content is loading and nothing happens. Have uninstalled and installed the app to no avail.
Granted, the new look does look nicer and is refreshing. However, the user experience takes away all the points previously gained for that. Page load time is way too long when searching for books. then, when book is found it can't be borrowed. An error "failed to authenticate user" pops up, which doesn't make sense cus if so, how did I even manage to log into my account in the first place? 🤦🏻♀️ will revise rating when app is improved. Very much rather yall just revert to old interface
The advertisement/announcement that pops up (when you first open the app) can't be swipe off sometimes. It says swipe up to dismiss but it doesn't work well-you have to swipe it repeatedly. Please do something about it or perhaps just remove this unnecessary pop up.
Straits Times ePaper keeps crashing when enlarging text to read small prints. Very irritating. Feedback to SPH Media, no improvement at all!
I just downloaded the App and can't even get pass to the home landing page. The App just keeps loading. Totally unusable.
After latest update, app stops working if access via mobile internet. No problem if connect via wifi.
Please put back the old version. Get the new version's problems fixed before releasing to the users. Thanks
Nice app when it works. After recent update, stuck at Loading screen forever and unusable....
Able to update very fast . Thanks , it only took two seconds. AWESOME 👍👍👍❤❤❤. The last update which was in 31st July 2021 , it took me whole day also cannot update. I am very grateful this time round. ( 10th Mar 2022 ) Many thanks to the staff who is doing the app.
This is pathetic, to be honest. Please give us permission to modify the (mylibrary) username! It's been inconvenient not being able to modify the username I chose when I was younger. Why can't we change our usernames on this platform like we can on other platforms that require membership as well.
Cannot open sph newspapers on app. Have written an email to feedback till now still cannot read.
Happy overall with access to a wide range of features. Love scanning the QR code to borrow physical books, or to just read eBooks and newspapers/magazines. *** I am now having issues with Galaxy Z Fold 3 where the Navigation Bar and text sizes go haywire. Hope it could be fixed soon. Thanks for the app and updates. Supporting you guys! It is a huge enabler for us to learn!
After the upgrade, it became worst! It keeps hanging, doesn't go to the main page. Uninstall and reinstall umpteen times, just don't work. And really have doubts with this app, had renewed the books and checked they were renewed. But few days later, it prompted me saying that i have overdue books!☹ Really getting frustrated with this app.
With the latest upgrade from 28nov, the app loads continuously and fails to open 90% of the time to the user account. I didn't have such problems with the pervious version, the only peeve was that it doesn't allow you to redeem book bug points. I rather reverting to the previous version which allows me to borrow books using the app. Then now continuously waiting forever and often can't load pass selection of the account. Let alone search for books. This needs to be improved. Additional features added should not hinder the previous user experience of from the app. It has to be fixed!
Doesn't work on tablet. Stays on loading page n doesn't move on to sign in page.
The new UI isn't as user friendly as one would have hoped. There also appear to be some quirks, e.g. a number of items in my Favourites list are repeated, which could indicate some issues with data migration Edit: the issue with Favourites list appears to be resolved, could have been due to data caching earlier. Edit2: glitch has resurfaced and I've emailed a video showing it
Great attempt with the update. Really liked that I could see book covers of all the books at a glance. Loaned, searches, etc. But the update is still unstable. I keep getting booted out at random times. It's hard to do a search or trying to borrow a book when the app just doesn't want to work.. Edit : no longer allows me to scan barcode to borrow. Just great.
After the update the app just hangs at its start screen with a clueless woman sitting there. Really lousy app. Don't try to "improve" things for the worse.
Rating is for the latest update. App is unusable after update. It's just stuck on the opening graphic. Please test your updates thoroughly before release.
This latest update is absolutely terrible, app crashes, unresponsive, doesn't load data properly and confusing/unintuitive UI. You can see it from all the 1star ratings recently. If you can't develop a better app properly, at least pls roll back to the previous working version while you firefight and fix the new one in the background. It's been two weeks and still as bad. My goodness, how did you guys QC/test this new version for release?!? And this "Elin MF", 5 stars for new version? Seriously!
The app was more reliable before the recent upgrade. Ever since the upgrade, the app has been terribly unstable and the functions won't launch. It works for a while after i uninstall and reinstall it, but it reverts to being unstable again the next time I try to launch the app. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app 3 times just today to use the app!

Yes scaned 3 books was working the 4th book scan the is running shows just a minute but waiting 5 mins still running

Please give user the option to disable the loading of highlighted content upon login. It would be nice not having to swipe up to dismiss almost all the time. The swipe up is not responsive as well. Works well only if near top of screen instead of anywhere full screen. Plus point of new UI: gives faster access to common choices.
Used to be a great app, but not any more. App does not proceed beyond loading screen. Reinstalled like what a number of users have attempted but still didn't work. Look forward to a proper fix.
