Great app. Doesn't take a bunch of data to ru. Has lots of forecast data. Radar is always 10 min behind & there's no later for isobars on map. Why I still have Wunderground installed, fix these so I can get rid of it please.
There is no other Weather Service App that compares to the mobile version of NOAA Weather. Not even built-in mobile weather services apps compare, not in the slightest, they are not as accurate at all. My only issue I'd like to see get fixed, is an option for a translucent widget for the 5 x 3 widget option. 😎
great and reliable connection to NWS info. not all widgets show info on my S20. would be great to have reliable widgets but not my main requirement.
Update: now that I've been looking at it again, navigating the app makes more sense. I had issues viewing tide charts, and after mentioning it in my review, the developer said they would look into it. I tried it again a short while later and it worked. It seems to be about the only app that gives any indication of the current tide level, which is what I was looking for. Others just give time and level for high and low tide.
I like this app. I like the features it has. I have 5 different weather apps on phone. After working outside and riding motorcycles many years in the central u.s. I am constantly watching the weather. I use this app to gather information and determine what is going to happen.
I have always had a great experience with this app, always seems more accurate than any other free version I have tried. After the last update, the current weather at the top of the weekly forecast now displays the conditions at the forecasting station, almost 20 miles away. I live in the mountains so this results in completely different temperatures and overall weather. Will change to 5 stars in the event this issue is resolved. Thanks for the hard work.
Though this has been my preferred weather app, I am disappointed that my purchase of the ad-free version seems to provide only temporary relief from ads. After a few months the ads started reappearing. I've tried choosing "go ad-free" but receive an error message. UPDATE: uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Back to ad-free. thanks!
Does everything it should do and more. This app. provides a truthful, highly accurate forecast on an as needed basis without the BS and hype one finds through television. As it utilizes a direct beeline to NOOA, it is the most reliable source of information that I've encountered. The developer is highly responsive to the concerns of the user and works diligently to resolve any problems encountered. The only flaw lies in the documentation regarding settings and configuration. Two thumbs up ! !
I am very happy to finally find an app with decent NOAA integration. NOAA weather data is by far the most accurate. The app itself is simple but it works for what it is. I see that the developer responds to feedback too, so that's always a plus. My only wish is for the widgets to be more customizable/look nicer. I used weowow app for some time, which looks really nice but has sub par accuracy/data. I'm much happier with the NOAA data now. Hopefully the app will continue to improve visually!
Well, as of the last update, I constantly get a network error. All other apps are fine. If you can fix this new bug with the latest up date , March 25, 2021 I believe, I will install again. As of now, I'm uninstalling Update! Thanks for the fast response! Ok, I'll reinstall! Love the app for years!
I downloaded this app to see accurate tides since it is called weather and tides. There is nowhere in this app where tides are shown. Maybe just call it weather if that's what it shows.
I would highly recommend that NO ONE DOWNLOAD this app. Its absolutely awful! It does not work more often than it does. The "Current Conditions" rarely gives the information. Instead you get a gray box with a line thru it and NO info!! Also, when you click on the hourly forecast for the day, it automatically jumps to the next day and you have to scroll back to the current day. It is a very frustrating unreliable app.
Disappointed. App is poor on auto updating. Frequently have to open app before it updates for travel or passage of time. Doesn't matter if on cell or WiFi. Recently had a Tornado Warning, was at home when the warning came over the weather radio. Waited for the app to alert me too. Could see app had not updated for over 2 hours, so finally opened the app, it updated and then the warning. It has good access to NWS info, but don't rely on it for alerts or current conditions at a glance.
works as intended. Widget does have trouble pulling info sometimes, but it's not a big issue.
After trying over a dozen radar apps I had almost given up on finding one that would.zoom in properly, to street level, and work flawlessly. This is the one. I love it! If you're having a problem with it you just need to tap around and get familiar with it. Or blame NOAA. I can't find anything wrong with the app. Well done.
The app is good and the weather and forecasts accurate. The radar is poor at best. You can't tell snow from light rain and it keeps flickering in and out as you move or zoom in and out. The app wants to move to the radar screen before you can exit and when youopen the app, it starts on the radar. Irritating.
I was looking for a weather app that didn't take so long to start up like Weather Underground. This NOAA app is great! You get official forecasts from the National Weather Service without all the hype and ads the commercial apps have (Weather Bug, The Weather Channel). Looking forward to seeing how it behaves when hurricane season begins in June!
Good for what it does, but don't expect bells and whistles from it. What this app is, is a honest reporting of the freely available information from the NWS. What it is not, is fripperies and doodads to animate things or pretend it can forcast for 45 days. I do wish, though, I could set an auto-update schedule for the notification bar weather (like every hour, or when the reporting starting updates) which is why I withheld a 🌟 and call the app good, instead of great.
This app works very well on the Samsungs phones I've owned over the years, and I assume the same would be true on other brands also. The app is laid out easily, has good information, quite accurate radar and satellite projections. Hour by hour percentages are also helpful, and seem to correspond with local conditions as I've observed for a few years now. To the techs, thank you for good engineering, I have lived and sailed extensively on boats, and like the app very much.
Lost the ability to read the short and long range forecast after the 7 day. This is just a glorified pictorial dark skinned Dark Sky app. The update took it backwards. Ok if I open app once it looks normal open up a second time it looks like a Dark Sky app. Interesting! When it looks normal it has the short and long range forecasts.
I can't get the app to work properly. When I try to get it to come up on my tick watch pro there's a warning message that's hard to read because there's a graphic behind the tiny text. When I finally could read it it said I had to enable permissions which I'd already done on my phone so I'm not sure what else I need to do.
This App use to give World Weather now It is not accurate only in US if someone was Traveling from NYC to Canada it use to display the Weather source 🙄 right from the Local Canadian Environment Canada . Now it shows false updates from a different source. The weather is not even close to what was predicted. Ps I think that is awesome but you used to use better weather sources but the last 4 it has changed big time Like say it was sunny out your site showed rain icon and much cooler temperatur.
