NoAdsPlease is an app you can use on your rooted android device to block ads and potentially dangerous websites.
Using what's called a "hosts" file, NoAdsPlease prevents connections to a list of potentially dangerous sites without any load on your phone!
This app requires an internet connection to download updates. Update downloads are less than 2MB. Please be aware that if you are using cellular data, NoAdsPlease will still download updates.
How NoAdsPlease uses the permissions it asks for:Internet: Check for and download updatesNetwork State: Check if your device is connected to the internetWrite/Read Storage: Read/save settings and store updatesRoot: Install an updated hosts file or revert to your original one

It's a simple app, but it does block ads once you restart your phone. When will the next update be?

Does not work at all. Uninstalling.
DO NOT INSTALL. Hijacks existing adds and replaces them with its own. Reverting didn't work so I'll have to deal with the aftermath now.
