We were mostly using ABC Mouse until my daughter requested this app. This app is not as easily navigated by children so she regularly gets frustrated when she gets stuck in a book and not all of them are audio books. She can't read yet. She keeps picking this app because of the characters but every time it is frustrating for the both of us. Educationally, ABC Mouse is by far the better option and it is more easily navigated. I'm hoping to eventually delete this app without her noticing.
This is one of the worst apps ever. It is so unfriendly for kids to use, even parents. Slow on all my devices. Constantly crashes or freezes. Way too hard to get back to what you were working in or episodes. The only reason I reinstalled and used it again was because they had the .99 special for 3 months. Now I need to explain to my kids why I'm removing it again. The one device I haven't been able to get this app to work on is my Samsung Note 20. Very frustrating!
When it works, my grandkids love it. But it's been telling me lately that it is unavailable. I tried contacting support. They gave me 3 options but none of them applied to me, so I selected "speak to someone". Have not heard another thing from them. If it continues, I'm canceling my subscription. No need to continue paying for something that you can not watch!
READ IF DOWNLOADING FOR SHOWS IN SPANISH: Absolute dismal selection of shows in Spanish or Spanish games, videos etc. They said the app is bilingual and that is misleading/false. They have a Spanish "hub" of very very OLD videos and a tiny selection of ebooks. I dowloaded because they stated the shows were available in Spanish which turned out to be untrue. No way I can pay close to $70 for something that does not exist. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED.
My kids have no interest in this app and I've been trying to cancel my subscription, but it keeps sending me in circles I've tried emailing and they say there's nothing they can do because it was done through roku but roku keeps saying I have to go online or the app store.
For as expensive as this app is each month, I had much higher expectations for it to work. Nearly every game my son tries to play freezes and I have to force close the app. The learning material is good, if only it would work.
I just signed up for the trial period and im already not happy... I was hoping to be able to play this on the television as well as phones etc.. so far I can not find the app on any of my televisions. So if this can get fixed, that would be a blessing and worth more stars from us..
"Sorry, this video is not available." This app is fine on my Chromebook, but on Android TV it is terrible. I even reset my entire TV to try and get this app to work but it did not help.
Unsubscribe from Amazon where I originally subscribed, a year ago and was still being charged a year later. You cannot go under your account and unsubscribe. It tells you to go to the place that you had subscribed to manage account.... No customer support either. Not worth it at all. Your kids get older shows from the 90s and nothing new too
Over priced for what little it has You get a few episodes from random seasons. Better off to get Paramount Plus which gives you most if not all of the episodes from Nickelodeon. Games are another story but still to much for what little you get when compared to other apps
Its a good app. If you are wanting to use this on your chromebook then its a waste of time. You have to uninstall and install again because once you get off the application it will go to a smaller sized window that cannot be opened to fit screen. You are then unable to navigate the app. Im not leaving my chromebook open 24/7 to keep this application running like it should but if you did not have this issue it would be a app worth your time
We were able to access the app without issues in November and December but after the latest app update, we can no longer log into the app. I tried contacting their support email and they're all very quick to respond but less than helpful. After attempting to troubleshoot the issue, we still cannot use the app. Super disappointed that we don't have this educational resource for our kids.
This app is a hot mess. Everything you click will take FOREVER to load. It crashes, freezes, and throws errors for every little thing, and now I can't even log in. 🙃 I've contacted support because I can't log in to cancel my subscription and there IS no live support agent, that's a lie. The system forces you into the automated junk and generates a ticket that they say will take DAYS to get a response. Absolutely garbage app.
I downloaded this app to watch shows without having to watch Hulu's commercials, so it's worth the price for that alone. BUT, the app itself is janky. Can I disable games? Can I disable the sounds? Can there be a Cast button before the video player opens? Can it be streamlined so it doesn't take so many clicks to watch an episode (like Netflix/Hulu's "keep watching" option)? And what's the difference between this and the Nick Jr app anyway?
It's actually a good app, it allows me to watch good shows in high quality. The only thing that makes me angry is how it doesn't allow you to screenshot and screen record. And I even tried screen sharing on my phone to Zoom and go to the Zoom meeting on another account to view and all I get is a black screen. I know that it's because of copywrite concerns but it feels unnecessary to me.
I installed this on a UJoyFeel kids android tablet and it lagged, froze, and strobed the screen several times. I tried it on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone and it works fine. Only a slight lag on loading screens. The regular Nick Jr app runs fine on the tablet, but there are no Blues Clues games, unlike the Noggin app.
Terrbile, slow and freezes... When it actually works. Most games wont load and we just get a black screen. Lots of games freeze while playing. This happens on both of our phones, and the app is not compatible with our tablets. Turned out to be a waste for us and constantly dissapoints our kid.
I had previously thought that it was silly to pay for an app for my little one. We used free apps that were junky and didn't work well. Finally I gave Noggin a try and it's the best! Worth every penny! I highly recommend it. It's fun, engaging, educational, so easy to navigate and features favorites like Peppa, Paw Patrol, and Blue.
Loved this app for my oldest but since restarting a subscription for my middle, we've had nothing but trouble. Double charges, navigation issues, sign in no longer working. Unsubscribed and uninstalling. So sad because it was great for my first son.
It L-A-G-S like nothing else I've seen....all my kid wants is to enjoy an episode or 2 and the process on this app is so dreadful,I'm at a loss... Unless it only gets better once one pays, after the free trial....but at this rate I'll definitely say nope to the app 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I had high hopes for this app, their IT department needs to fix this app so that it runs more sufficiently. It takes a long time to load. once loaded it will play for a few second and rebuffed multiple times. It will tell you your offline when your on wifi. This is not ok people are paying for this as an educational activity for their toddlers to do and these kids can't do anything. Fix your app.
I was specifically hoping to use this as a language teaching aid. I grew up watching some of these, so it seemed like a good, nostalgic choice. They only offer Spanish and English options, however, even though it's clear that other language options exist. Otherwise, I suppose the app's functionality is decent enough if cumbersome. It's expensive but if you're a toddler/have a toddler, the interactive learning games are a nice idea. Reminds me of Zoombinis a bit.
Paid for the subscription so you would think all conent is available right? Wrong! The shows my son wants to watch you have to buy seasons to watch them. If I buy the subscription I should have to buy all seasons. Other than that it's a great app.
Not at all good. Our 3 year old was super excited about this, until the first minute was up. At that point, the WiFi lagged a bit and caused a show to stop. I turned off the Wifi and found that the platform doesn't work with 4G LTE. In order not to constantly be caught in infinite buffering, it also seems to require a level of Wifi stability that my brain can only associate with a technological Utopia. Worst of all, they hide the cancel button! Therefore, we've paid $16 for absolutely nothing.
Decent game, but my son can barely play it because it keeps throwing an error message saying I need internet to play, even though my phone never loses signal. Has bugs that need fixing to be playable for me on my S22 Plus.
We have this app b/c there is nowhere else to watch Blues Clues & Paw Patrol, to my knowledge. The app would probably be great for an older child to read and play games, but I have a toddler who can only watch right now. To be brief, it is lacking a lot of basic streaming platform options. It needs a lock function. It should order shows (not just episodes) by most recently watched instead of just a static default list. And there should be a download for offline viewing option. Please consider :)
