Great front end, often annoying output. The noise is on a 3 second loop and seems to be generated at random each time you start it, but this 3 seconds often has sounds in it that to my ears stand out; repeated boings, crunches and ringing. As this is then looped every 3 seconds you notice it more and more and it becomes irritating. I have to keep stop starting until I have a noise that has no obvious pattern. The ability to save a good noise would help.
I am very happy with the options available. I would like to see a timer function, one that counts down from however long its set to. When it reaches zero, it fades out the noise. Thank you for providing me with this application. It helps me sleep when the neighbor's music is particularly bass heavy.
Great dialling in to a neighbour's frequency at any given time so I don't need to hear them.
Outstanding. There can be repetitive noises sometimes. But overall brilliant.
Really like the simplicity of this app. There are times when I hear weird beats repeating, so I just adjust the settings a bit. Turning down the volume also helps. One thing I really want is a timer option. So it's not running all night long, just an hour or so until I go to sleep.
This app is really nice, its easy to use and doesnt have annoying ads. It would be better if i could change the volume of the app independently from the master volume, though - i like to have it on as well as music
I genuinely thought all the talk about white noise helping focus and the like was nonsense until I tried it on my sister's recommendation. Now, I have to report that this app, or one similar, is a great aid in focusing in on a task. I find it very surreal when I remove my earphones after a long session with the white or brown noise, it's like the world gets shut out and you don't even realise until you do.
Great app. Very useful, can't sleep with out it.
I am trying to find bugs in the app for you to fix cause this is an excellent app, here is the first one that might now even be a bug. I will update my review when I find more bugs 1. Clicking on either the minus or plus buttons while it's playing and clicking stop at the same time will not stop the noise. It will continue on.
I love the ability to shift both the "color" and cutoff frequncies at the same time. If i set the upper to 970hz and leave the lower at 20hz and am in the blue-violet it kind of sounds like a space deck. This app really is helping when I experience sound induced jitters and nervousness.
I like the idea of customizing a sound but the samples are very short; about 4 seconds. You can hear a repeating pattern in many of the settings. I find that annoying when I use it for background noise while trying to fall asleep.
after fooling about with this application for quite some time. the conclusions drawn are it does what it says it does. if you want fancy go and be prepared to PAY. however if you want an all around noise generator here you go. For testing and tuning of Equalisers, 2 and 3 way sound systems, sending signals through an audio repair job it will do nicely. This seems to be designed for the persons who rely on their ears. >tested by // The Pricil Love//<
App randomly stops working. I use bluetooth speaker and sometimes the app stops and I have to restart it. Last night I had to do this twice. Update to March 2021 and I'm no longer using the speaker but still having trouble with multiple random quits. Please update this with a fix.
Really great, does what it says on the tin, don't need any other app like it. Only complaint: it's not truly (or even pseudo) random: you can hear beats in the repeating pattern which can be distracting.
It should have an option to play on left or right channel so I won't have to run to the amp and turn the Balance knob before measuring each channel. Another reason is some amplifiers offer direct input which bypasses the Balance knob and other controls, once the balance know is bypassed then it's not possible to measeur just one channel.
The generated waveforms are a bit too short and loop on themselves. The looping is seamless, but the pattern is audible, it's like a second or two. I wish there was a slider for the length of them.
I use this app for helping to relieve tinnitus. It doesn't always work but sometimes does. Any relief is a blessing. It would be nice to have some saved settings so we can quickly switch between a few different settings to see which is best.
Very flexible noise AND tone generator when you set both filters to the same frequency! Recommend. The only improvement I could think of would be to include a dBfs level reading so that you could calibrate sound systems. Thanks :-)
Works great; would like stereo (noise generated separately for each ear) and software volume control (my headphones don't have fine enough adjustments).
Super buggy app. Closes randomly in the middle of the night on some nights. I have to constantly restart the app, because it will play random noises while also playing brown noise (which is what I use).
I use this app already for 4 years. Can you return back the volume indicator?
Thanks for very cool and useful app for making custom ambient noise. The best so far I've found for sleep. It works so well, however, that i am concerned i will sleep through my wake alarm, so i will need a timer feature before i can use Noise Generator on work day.
The white noise in this app has a subtle repeating pattern of oscillations which is VERY annoying once you notice it. Real white noise does NOT have this quality.
As much control as this app gives you over the noise produced, it's a shame there's no option to save and load presets.
Great at it's job, love the filters. Only 3 stars because the generated sound is short and has a very obvious loop which makes it hard to sleep to
I have tinnitus that rings and hisses at high frequencies. Violet noise is too low to mask my tinnitus. Noise generator because of its manual sound generation can mask my tinnitus because I am able to make the noise higher. Great to help me sleep.
The app itself is great - simple, direct and easy to use. The capability to define low and high cut filters is amazing, allowing you to adjust the noise just the way you want. Ads are completely tolerable and non-invasive. The problem (a huge one) is that some noises seem to have a really short sample (about 3 seconds) and you can hear a pattern when they restart, what is unacceptable in a service that purposes to mask other noises and help attention/concentration. If fixed, please message me.
