The alarm part (included with a $0.99 fee) is useless and must be kept off. Once the alarm is triggered it doesn't stop because the alarm itself is loud enough to trigger it again.
It's great for creeping you 10-year-old brother to sleep, because when he starts laughing he never stops. You can also use this app for a parent alarm 🤣. I found out if you stick this near their door you can connect it to a speaker on quiet and hear if they come out by the alarm. 😈🤣😈 Sorry not sorry😜
App works great until you actually turn your screen off and then it doesn't work at all it's useless.
App needs option to keep device awake
I downloaded this to use in my classroom - the pro version (for an awesome low price of $1.31) allows you to set a personalized acceptable range and ask for an alarm when the noise gets into the red zone. I'll have to play around with some noise levels to see where the red zone would be. One thing that might be better would be a softer alarm tone or even a choice of tones. The one available is kind of scary.
Downloaded to use in my classroom. Alarm sounds and gets stuck sounding. Doesn't stop when noise stops. Totally ineffective.
You have to pay for the alarm to work - false advertising you shouldn't say it's a free alarm if you have to pay for the alarm. Waste of time downloading.
you need to add a 30s limit to the alarm going off so it can reset it's self then reactive if the noise is to loud. As the alarm keeps it in that mode.
In a quiet room, it still acted like it was loud. Doesn't really work.
Once the alarm goes off it keeps going off even when the room is silent because the alarm is registered on the meter. I turned the sound off to stop it then turn the volume back up and the alarm was still going off.
Samsung Galaxy S6, app doesn't work at all. Sits at the green light saying 20db, never changes no matter what. Other similar apps work just fine, even if this one is visually appealing, it's no good if it doesn't work.
Trying to get the students controlled in a classroom is hard. This app makes my life a lot easier as a substitute teacher.
I was excited to use this in my classroom until it informed me that to set levels and have an alarm I have to pay for it.
I use this so my students know what is noise pollution.
The noise in the house is pretty accurate and it works properly but I never tested it out in the classroom or in the taxi with my friends in it
Alarm needs to be slower and perhaps will recognize that it has gotten quieter

Brilliant idea but the noise detector is also sensitive to the alarm sound the app produces when the noise threshold is exceeded. So once the alarm starts it never stops. This makes the app essentially useless.
