NoiseBlocker (Ear Plugs) FREE
Try this app to transform your earbuds to noise generating earplugs. Noise Blocker is an app I designed to help you focus in noisy places like work places or coffee shops (esp. when listening to music is too distracting). Some studies show that listening to this type of noise increases deep sleep, enhances brain waves, and improves memory in subjects.
Noise Blocker sends bassy, stereo brown noise through your earbuds, causing other outside noises to gently mix in as ambient sound before hitting your ears. Note that brown noise differs from white noise: white noise sends a signal that emphasizes high treble. This is why brown noise works better than white noise -
- it is bass heavy and raises the noise level for bass and treble in a uniform fashion. This will effectively block out all external noise -
- even better than ear plugs would.

I seriously hate noisy people in the library. I downloaded app after app but couldn't find a good noise canceler, and often the app's "nature sounds" were just as distracting as the people around me. I was skeptical of this app because it only has one sound and seemed too simple, but the sound it makes is truly perfect. I'm deleting all the other sound apps - thanks!
Simple to use. I wasn't happy that it keeps running in the background, draining your battery, even when you aren't using it. I really don't want to have to manually kill it when I'm done. That said, it is very easy to use and gets the job done. However I did find another app that is just as easy to use with more options. Since it hasn't been updated in nearly 5 years I don't think we'll see any improvements. So time to move on...
Its a great app but it doesnt turn to silence when earphone is unplugged.. one time i used it inside the classroom and unplugged my earphone when teacher came. Everyone was wondering what the he*k am i listening to but still a 5 star worthy app.
Awesome! Brown noise is my favorite "white" noise. It may sound crazy, but on a hot day it makes me feel cooler instantly. Probably because the first images to hit my mind are massive waterfalls or industrial fans. Your app generates a very deep and resonant (is that the right word?) sound. With other apps, even though I'd turn the volume way up, the sound would still be weak. Yours is loud and that makes it relaxing. Good job!
It would be nice however if it had a timer option that you could set it to come off when you're asleep. Lol I don't want my phone playing this all night and wasting battery.
The average student stays up late, parties hard and sleeps in. Not me! going to bed early and waking up early is my thing, and this app helps me do that! So thankful for this i dont know how i'd cope without
It'll randomly cut off and I'll have to restart it. I'm assuming a persistent notification would take care of it.
You want a noise-maker, you get a noise maker. Some upgrades would be nice though.

This app is simple , no ads , and simply works ! A great utility . I will give a 5 star but please update so it could run effectively in background .
Great app. I am using for sleeping in house with noise children. It blocks all sounds perfectly!
Pretty good at drowning out annoying people and announcements when riding the train.
Believe me it's too much irritating.. hated this bloody app. .
But it does!..Mindlab title through hesitence at first..l have dislexia and find it painful to study or not get anxt within crowds but this app works...admittedly the first 5seconds l was about to switch it off but for some reason my brain was feeling soothed almost purrring!..Not for everyone but highly try if you suffer with Anxiaty, ASD, Dislexia, Migraine or environmental distortions and its free we!
Am I crazy or is there someone talking in the background of the brown noise? I can never make it out. Maker of this app are you adding subliminal messages to this?

Great app! Easy to use and quite possibly the best brown noise generator for Android. I have tried so many others that "click" every few seconds and others where the noise is too weak to block high tones. This one is perfect. I sleep with brown noise because my wife watches movies and I need silence or at least constant noise. This app blocks the unconstant movie noise and provides the silence for me.
This app is quite perfect. I hardly ever rate apps but this is so simple and works perfectly. Noise is either on or off, no frills, no ads. Very zen. EDIT: It does keep stopping randomly which will like, startle me awake when everything becomes completely silent. I'm going to find a better alternative.
