This was just what I needed to stop the media scanner from eating my battery, works great! The UI could do with an update though :P
I'm confused and sketched out because I did NOT download this app. I never said to myself.. hmm I need to hide files from myself.. so how did it end up in my tablet? It would be a perfect app to install on someone's device if I wanted to put a sick file on the device and hide it from the owner.. am I wrong? I hope I am.. I think I should delete the app. Sad face:(
selects internal storage and not the SD card. No way to change it.
Work perfectly removed all the no media files from folders it was taking up space
I just tired ur app and nothing says it's working so far nothing so far I'll give it time let u know more in 2hours it's 552pm my time here in Hampton va I'm a beta tester so if it works great but if not I'll let u know.
doesn't seem to do anything, all it says is "job in progress" or "already catching" what is this supposed to mean^
A little help could get better
all delete video and photos recovery
Wow it WORKS...THAT'S GREAT TRY IT
That just one more useless app that dose not do anything.
App is a lifesaver for ocd ppl like me.
It doesn't do anything why?
The app works fine on the internal memory of my AndroidM device. Then if need be, I can take any file manager and copy or move the folder to the SD Card.
Really can't tell what it's doing after long pressing each music file or obb file and it just say "Job Working" but doesn't show anything and I mean nothing
On internal phone memory it's fine but on sd card it does not work...naturally where will the most files be...yep sdcard
Helpful for me on my Micromax A110Q. I recovered all my files to be shown in gallery and media players. Great Job
Works fine but really needs lots of improvements. That's why I only give 4 stars instead of 5.
Would be 5 stars if app could actually place and remove .nomedia files. Currently it acts like it does but revisiting the same directory shows it did nothing.
Comes with great idea but does not work on Lollipop. I need the noscanandnomtp and this is the only app offering it.
I wanted to mark .no media on my external SD but cat get there .. Can't change to root directory of external sd
This app doesn't appear to do anything on my Galaxy S7. There's no way to choose any options, just quick press to navigate directory and long press to... do something.
I have hundreds of thousands of image files stored on my thousand dollar smartphone. That I even need an app like this to ensure my phone's usabillity - to protect me from the dreaded medua scanner - is just one more strike against Android. Ubuntuphone here I come!
Won't work, can not find the external SD card to browse.
I think its only con is that it will not request root access, so if "media" is scanning files in /system or other directories this app cannot help.
It could use some updating, especially aesthetically, but it gets the job done; I'd recommend it. Also, it'd be great if it ran a quick tutorial on initial launch, so you don't have to figure out how to use it.
My gallery was picking up thumbnails over and over again. This app stopped it all!!!! It was coming from many files in Androids data folder, not the dcim folder. Now I can school the gallery without all the junk!!! Finally a simple fix!!!
3 dot menu has gone so cannot access settings. Any chance of updating the app to have a settings cog on-screen?
I just couldn't get this app to work. There is no way to get into the preferences. I found it easier to simply create the nomedia file manually.
