NOOK Audiobooks

PLEASE add an option to speed up the readings! Some narrations are slow (which is not the app's fault) and I have trouble staying focused when things are slow. I would give the app five stars, but not being able to control the speed of the narrations is a big downer for me. Otherwise, the selection of books is good and the app runs smoothly.

Downloaded on an Android device. It's a very basic app. There's no features like a sleep timer, bookmark, switching between chapter and total book time on the slide bar. You have to open the app in order to stop/play the audiobook. There are no controls via the window shade and it rarely responds to Bluetooth controls. The book continually plays through phone alerts. I have 4 different audiobook apps (most compatible with my library card) this one is by far my least favorite.

Randomly shuts itself off. Glitches out making the audiobook skip like a scratched CD. Doesn't tell you how far you are in the book or how many hours you have left. Occasionally it shows up on the status bar for easy pausing but most of the time it doesn't and there is no way to get it to show up there.

No Sleep Timer Very basic app, which makes it easy to use. The main drawback is the lack of a sleep timer the next slight annoying aspect is that the app doesn't have a skip forward a few seconds button. Otherwise, completely fits the bill.

I'm trying this app again after about 3 years. Sure was hoping the issues would be fixed, but NOPE! Why do my books just stop by themselves? Why after years has this still not been fixed? Guess I'll be checking the Kindle Audiobook app, since this company obviously doesn't care about fixing the issues after being apparent for years. Customer satisfaction is nothing to them, so I'm guessing retention isn't either.

I installed this app and was disappointed from the start. Yes, it is easy to use because it is so basic and simple. Their "search" is a joke. I would type in a title of a book and the titles that show have nothing at all to do with the title I was looking for. I would prefer "This title is not available". Going to go back to the other reading apps, where the experience is so much more enjoyable. The only reason that I tried this app was because a friend recommended it. These books are too old.

The audiobook player in this app is just awful. It has absolutely no customization options, does not work well with controls on bluetooth headsets, and constantly closes on its own. I will never buy another book for Nook so that I never need to use this terrible app again.

App crashes constantly, I mean 3 or 4 times in the span of an hour, multiple interruptions when playing with bluetooth. If I didn't have so many books on it, I would just use another app entirely.

I've had this app for years with no problems and when i went to switch card info I've gotten nothing but problems. I called nook customer service number but nookaudiobook problems have to be emailed. After 3 emails in 2 days they've sent me to the same link and told me to do the same thing over and over again. I'm very upset. I do not feel as my problems with this are being taken seriously and they are only pointing me to a link to fix it and that isn't working.

the book speaker speed is a bit slow for me it would have been 5 stars if the app has a speed setting for faster readers. my book felt boring despite it being a book I've already read and loved, but not so much with how slow the reading is.

I have an issue with the book stopping. I have a Samsung S8+ phone. Is there a problem using this app on this phone? How do you fix it? You have had 2 years to update this app so it will work on android and iPhones over a 7. Since you haven't done anything about it, how do I get my money back on all the audiobooks.

OK so the audio books themselves are amazing and I love them but here is the issue I installed this app onto my phone and tablet just like the nook ebook app now this app works perfectly on my phone but my tablet it's funky in the following way I pay for and download the audio books perfectly on my phone but the tablet acts as if I never bought the books in the first place though it's the same account I tried restarting it checked all the options and reinstalling it nothing helps Help me please

Since update the page number on my books does not automatically show. States learning reading speed, then I have to tap to get the page number to display EVERY TIME. How about just keeping it simple?

Just started using this app, looks nice so far but I wish there were subcategories to choose from. In my opinion that would make the app much better to use/navigate and browse.

I reluctantly give a 1 star rating. I wanted to like this app. I do like the Nook Ebook reader and use it often. However this is an extremely lame interface. Cannot rewind/forward or select a place to play by time or chapter. B&N needs to up their game.

When it works out works great, when it doesn't.....it is broke. You will lose ALL content. There is a phone number listed.... they cannot do anything either. Disappointment.

I have a Nook tablet & wanted this app to use while traveling. Upon activating the download I was advised that the app - please note: this is a NOOK audiobook app - WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY NOOK DEVICE. CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN THIS???

I share an Audible account with my daughter but used this to buy a book that was less expensive than Audible. I should have paid a few extra bucks. The app stops randomly. That book will be my first and last purchase.

I like nook audio better than audible. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to sort my audio books by author.

This app is ridiculous just want to add an audio version. To books I already have in my library on the nook reading app, HOWEVER it wants me to pay an additional $15 to $20 for this feature! Will not be purchasing any further books with nook.

The screen does not auto rotate. Which makes it hard to use this app since I usually use my tablet in the horizontal mode.

Doesn't seem to have a speed control. Downloaded my first book and the reader is So Slow. I'm not sure if I will try another.

I REALLY wish you could change the speed. I also wish finding the book wasn't so had, they give you the book but they are in different languages.

Horrible search engine. Only one word out of the search has to match for it to bring up completely unrelated titles.

Wouldn't let me login, and calling into customer service told me that they couldn't help me, I'd have to email another party for help. Really bummed I have to put with Audible.

The reader don't sound like a person, they read too slow and it's not good reading at all.
