Featuring the American Golden Plover, Gray Kingbird, Tropical Kingbird, Xantus Hummingbird, Yellow Headed Blackbird and many more birds!
Bird Sounds can be played by tapping on a bird picture.
All sounds can be saved as Ringtones, Notifications and Alarms by long pressing on a bird and selecting the relevant option.
Birds can be grouped by family or alphabetical order (with and without headings) using the Menu Settings.
A Birdwatching checklist is included allowing you to tick off birds you have seen. Tapping on a bird on the checklist screen allows you to view more information about the bird on Wikipedia or perform an image search via Google images.
Personal Lists can be created too! Create a list of your favorite birds, or add birds that you've seen on a recent bird watching trip. Birds can be added to your lists from the checklist screen.
Mini games are also included helping you to learn the different birds found in this app: Guess the Picture, Guess the Sound and Guess the Name.
In App Billing is supported via the 'Remove Ads' button. Upon purchasing this upgrade this app will not serve any advertisements. All future app updates will also not receive any adverts too.
Permissions are required for saving birds sounds and displaying advertisements.All images and sounds used are royalty free.

This is the most difficult site to navigate. There are no directions on how to make lists and the screen moves so easily that you loose what your looking at.
once the sound you picked starts you Cant stop it unless you back all the way out of the app. no thanks!!
Decent app... would be nice for a few different calls per bird. Only read not giving 5 stars is there is no european starling call? Yes there not native but there everywhere in north america
This app used to be free and only bird sounds, but now it wants 99 cents to get rid of the lame tuba music.
Excellent though not complete. Perhaps a way for users to add content would be nice.
Easy to use, nice variety of common calls. Birding checklist sliding left is handy.

will not open , no sound ! it used to let me click on picture and hear bird calls ...

For someone who is just starting to learn how to bird watch/spot, this app is wonderful. Especially the quiz sections. The only thing I would add is that some of the birds that appear in the main sounds list are not in the checklist area to be added to a personal checklist. Literally my only gripe. (I use the personal checklist to compile ones that are native or migrate to my area.) Despite this, still five stars!
Nice app but I have spotted a spelling problem. So What is the spelling problem, Well It is the Mexican chickadee spelt with chickade instead of chickadee. Plus add common loons as well with the sound and picture like any other bird on this app.
I love this app. Use it to learn warbler calls. How fun to see people react on the city bus.
I like the app, but you have to know the name of the bird. I would like to ask something like "black long necked shore bird" & get results.
The white throated sparrow has a very distinct call, the chirping associated with this bird is either incorrect or misleading.
This used to be the app I used to learn birds using the guess the bird by picture feature. Lately it's been showing birds that are clearly none of the options under the picture. So for someone that actually doesn't know any birds, this can be very confusing trying to figure out when the app is working correctly and when it's not. I'm giving it 3 for when it was good and taking 2 off until it's fixed.
