This is budget banking at its finest, not set up for anything besides selling from your home. I run a small paint company they refused to deposit any check over 5000.00 only had luck with under 1000. Their reasoning was it was their discretion. Quickbooks checking is working out much better! So long northone.
I got to say this is a pretty good option if you're looking for an e-Bank. Customer service has been more than helpful and they act fast. Opening the account was hassle free. My only complaint is the lack of Plaid or services like it, but according to their notes on the app, that's coming soon.
They closed my account and seized my funds for no reason at all. Turns out it wasn't a godd fit for me either. I provided both personal and business government documents to prove my identity. Do not waste your time. Find another bank. No phone number available for customer service. Chat only.
App keeps crashing, haven't been able to check my balances or any info for a few days now. Unacceptable, Unprofessional, and about to be Uninstalled! 😡 Don't play with my money.
I like NorthOne because they are communicative. If something is stopping your progress, they call to communicate the problem and that alone helps so much.
DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT! When I first got this app & opened an account, I thought it was great for me as a freelancer. I almost sent all my freelancer friends a link to get started. I am SO glad I didn't! I was unaware of the $10 monthly fee! I wish had screenshots of the process signing up because I'm almost certain the fee wasn't mentioned. It isn't less than traditional banks hidden fees. You don't get any extra features that you can't get free from other banks or apps. Not worth $120 a year!
very easy to set up a business account if you are just establishing.. instructions were easy to follow and, there was assistance at the other end if confused they chat and replied very fast

No way to avoid the monthly fee. App does not work at all if you have developer mode enabled on your phone. Auto-filling Plaid passwords does not work. Pending transfers are not reflected in the account balance, so it is easy to send more than you have. After I posted the above, the developer responded on here "Please check your in-app chat for a message from our team." When I logged into the app it said I had a message waiting for me, but when I clicked on it I got "Something went wrong Couldn't load your conversations"
Had 3 Stars. Now gets 1. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE 24 HOURS BEFORE 2 LARGE DIRECT DEPOSITS FROM !MY STATE! WERE DUE TO BE DEPOSITED, LET THEM KNOW EXACTLY WHAT AMOUNTS AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE THEY WERE COMING IN. NORTH ONE REASSURED ME EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH THE ACCOUNT AND THAT THEY COULDN'T CURRENTLY SEE ANY PENDING DEPOSITS (04/07/22) THE FOLLOWING DAY 04/08/22 THEY MESSAGE ME ON THE APP QUESTIONING BOTH DEPOSITS, THEY REJECTED MY F'ING DIRECT DEPOSITS FROM THE STATE! UNF'ING REAL 1/5*
Super easy and awesome so far. Still waiting on my card. **See the thing is.. I signed up as well as did all the requirements with ur app in order to get rewards back on another app "Current" which says it's completed but haven't received my bonus yet. Which I know is not ur fault. But the 4 star would have been a 5 otherwise it's just I like to leave room for for Improvement, as I do not believe in perfection.

Received an email I was charged the $10 monthly fee eventhough they CLOSED MY ACCT! They requested documents, which I sent within the designated time frame, & they closed my acct anyways. I NEVER received an email back from them w/any explanation or info. Also, I had $50 left on the acct when it was closed! NEVER got a check, an email, or even a text with a withdrawl method. UPDATE 5/26: Received yet another email I'm charged $10 fee. Acct still closed. Still no check for $50 left in acct...
So far being a customer with North One Banking has been a really good and professional experience so far. All my inquires get responded to And answered timely which is very important when dealing with financial institutions. They also have an exceptional referral program for their loyal customers and they are true to their rewards. So far earned the Easiest $150 from referring two small business owners who is friend and family member! Checkout North One guys!
Oh wow I am glad that all this app does is crashes because otherwise I would have never read the reviews it's funny how all the bad words are on the front page but if you put them in order by date the most recent ones are pretty positive (seems as if the reviews were done prior to using the account where the bad reviews seem to be people that actually use the account and encountered problems) I think I will just keep my $50 thank you everyone that left comments you definitely saved me a headache

Not happy with my experience. I didn't see it was going to cost $10 a month until AFTER I signed up. Since I'm just starting, there are no fee business accounts out there. I canceled right away. Six days ago, they said they were working on it and would email me when it closed. Then, they took the $50 out of my primary account, which was required at sign up. I emailed today to find out nothing has been done to close it and can't while there is money in it. Good luck canceling if you're unhappy.
Stuck in this update loop. Why? UPDATE!!!!!!!! 14 September 2021 / 5 stars! They definitely made me eat my words. I asked a question and wasn't able to log in and they had a whole human reach out to me and fixed the issue within the hour. And they didn't stop contacting me until it was resolved. Had multiple questions after this issue and had nothing but Prompt service! Thank you so much to the staff/ team!!!
I think, the bank needs to be able to provide paper checks (checks cashiers checks or business checks) for customers. That's why I need to give 4 stars. But d bank is ok.
so far so good can't complain to make things simple and uncomplicated and everything they actually said so far is true unlike some apps that the fish was a man over the time I got done telling me it was a shark that got to wait you know they don't do that here
Stay away! No customer service! The only way you can contact the company is from the app using their chat function or scheduling a call. I emailed them and they won't help unless I am logged into the account. Only issue is when I have the appp send a password I never get the password. App use is not an option and now the situation is stuck in limbo.
Update: was finally able to open account but the money I deposited was transferred back supposedly (without any authorization)...however it's not in my sending account. So it's just lost in cyberspace I guess! Very little help from customer service and none at all from other account. Rating stays same til I have my deposited money back. App wont even open so i can open an account. NorthOne app keeps stopping!!
**Please don't take credit for something the BBB and Chime resolved for me. You would have been perfectly content keeping my $50. They locked my account with my $50 in it when I asked them about my $75 referral credit I didn't get and they locked my account. I have done EVERYTHING they asked (explanation and proof of my business transactions, Picture ID, selfie ID pic, etc.) and no one will get back to me. I got my card today, guess what? Can't activate it. I have done nothing wrong.
Tried going through all of the information and verifications required but when it gets to the end where you acknowledge all information is accurate it just says error performing this request in red banner and nothing. Waste of time signing up cause it just gets stuck
I can't get the app to load at all. I updated the app and still nothing. Customer service has no interest in helping. Edit. I contacted support several times. Could never get the app working. I didn't end up making an account, but I just got an email saying my account was over the limit. How is that a thing? This company is a disaster.
Never used but spammed and claim I owe fees. They spammed me for weeks saying to update my account or I would lose access. I was fine losing access considering I've never used it. On the last day it suddenly gave more time then I got an email saying I had overdrafted and would be charged $5/day. I told them to close account and was told to go through the app. After finally remembering my password it brought me to sign up for a new account so I'm guessing they closed it.
Not a bad online bank they do some outlandish things but the customer service is always help ful. But how you going to disable my check deposits for over 2 months it's not like I can go to a branch. No one can run a business with out being able to deposit a check ... Other then that they have been decent
App would be awesome if it actually worked. Installed and it worked great for about 30 days then it quit working - like the app won't even open. Guess what? There is no phone number to call and you can't access your account online on a website, so if the app fails, you are just screwed. The chat people they have are also clueless. I got passed around about 5 times and they just kept saying I needed to install a newer version - but I can only install the version in the Google Play store. 😠
This is totally a scam. This app will take your funds or $. It's been 3 months and my account been temporarily closed. Costumer support gave me the link i read already on why it's closed no one responds back after that. I tried to ask about how my funds will be affected or anything nothing happened cause no one answers. I believe this is just all a scam in a way just to take people money with very poor customer service and I want my account completely closed on Northone. A waste of time.
I initially gave this app 5 stars but for two days I have been locked out of my account and lost out on a potential deal, I am locked out completely for No Apparent reason, everything was working fine until I charged my business debit, maybe the money is not actually there and they need time to recover so the lock out stays until recovery is complete.
