This app would be amazing if there weren't constant issues. When it's working correctly, I find it very useful.. Frequently when I'm entering my password the cursor jumps up to my username, and things get entered wrong, causing a sign in security alert. There are also long loading times, inaccurate balance information, and some other issues as well. I'm currently unable to see any of my account balances or transfer money.
It does what I need it to do, however it does have a few annoyances. I can't exit the the app by simply pressing the back button like most others. In fact the back button doesn't work at all. Also, when I open the app, there is a delay when the "sign up for northwest secure" appears at the top left. So when I open the app and choose a menu option, I hit the wrong button because the delayed top left message pushes the menu down
The app worked perfectly until I updated it, now it won't show any into on the home screen, it takes too much time to load when you click on an account, and I can't deposit a check using phone because the app won't load the page to do so. Please fix. My phone is plenty new enough for this app to work. I need access to all parts of the app and my account.
Last month They changed their policy On Automatic transfers from accounts and the fees involved. This policy affected me negatively, And continually does so. The app is not transparent About it, so it's very hard to avoid. And I will be filing a complaint with the ncua, if this doesn't get resolved fast. I would never expect this from a credit Union.
WorkED well on android 11 (pixel 3xl) EDIT Recently noticed that I'm no longer able to view my balance? What was a pretty solid app is now not available this afternoon. They say my money is safe... I like the bank but this would be a total deal breaker. This is only a backup account that I use for "fun money". May have to jump ship.
This app is never consistently accessible. It's always undergoing "updates" or experiencing "intermittent connectivity" issues throughout various times of day. I have had multiple problems getting in to my account and when I finally do, I am able to see everything but my account balances, which is the most important part of budgeting on the go!! Love the bank itself and their customer service, but their online accessibility is terrible and has been for the past 4 years I've been banking with them. Please figure it out.
The app is basic, which is fine, but the alerts are really hard to set. I wanted to set a text alert to notify me when there is a deposit to checking. Still haven't figured it out. The folks at the bank were unable to figure it out. (I reached out to customer service about this, too, and never heard back.) Will update number of stars when alerts are easier to set.
Literally the app with THE MOST scheduled maintenance that somehow comes up with new bugs every single time. I can't log into this app without some issue. Uninstalling, factory reset, different wifi connections, only data, no data, reset phone. This app has been around for years and can't even operate as a standard banking app half the time. To do any transactions I have to log in and out multiple times. It's disappointing.
Everything on the app works great but I've ran into glitches when I went to take care of simple payments. I want to make a payment on a loan and instead of taking out the amount I entered it took the whole loan out of my check. I was able to get the issue resolved in the money was back in my account a few days later. It was still in unnecessary hassle and a small example of the issues I run into. This app is great if you're just wanting to check the status of your account or transfer money
App allows me to login on one phone but not the other. It keeps saying connection issues, loading is taking longer than expected can't connect to extended network. It has even locked me out of my account. I have Uninstalled app, Reset my settings, called the bank they reset the network on their side and still the app malfunctions. It will allow me to login once after reinstalling the app then malfunctions everytime after that. It's very frustrating 😑
Why does this app have so many issues? It's been years and it still has them. This right here is why I left NWCU, on top of other issues. They have gone downhill over the years!
When you spend money most of the time it doesn't really show up in your account history for a while so it's hard to tell if it already took the money out or if it's still going to.. it has to do with it being a credit union but still
I have had this app on both of my phones (previous and current) and my tablet without any issues. Now, every other time I try to log in to check my account balances, a message pops up stating "Unexpected Error", the app crashes or it's a blank screen before the app closes itself.
Deposits aren't updated over the weekend and many are pending for days. So you often aren't able to see your real balance, and you can't transfer money between accounts when needed because it's pending. The bank still charges fees. So if you have business accounts and make daily deposits, your money is in hold for 3 out of 7 days.
Wouldn't even allow me to create a new account. To get started, even when information is all correct. Logs me out of app instantly.
Logins don't work or take forever. Depositing checks takes several attempts or doesn't work at all. I've been a member almost 30 years and have become more and more disappointed with the severe lack of customer service skills and technology that actually functions properly within the app as well as on site.
App very slow/temperamental to open. If you accidentally use the back button on your phone to go back to the previous screen it logs you out. Good luck getting logged back in. If you have an android device, plan on uninstalling and reinstalling the app virtually every time you want to use it. Absolute garbage!
It's alright I guess but it does frequently for a period of time shut down and it also won't allow me to deposit my checks.
The app is good, and convenient, but for some reason has lost the ability to use biometric scanning. It shows it still in the security preferences but when trying to activate, it just goes into a spinning loop and eventually times out. Please fix this!
Not happy with all the constant bug fixes. App crashing. Signing in gets ridiculous. Depositing checks has become a horrible experience. One of the reason I wanted to bank with Northwest. Seems like every month something goes wrong with the app.
Third rating: credit card access is ridiculous and inconvenient. Each update makes it more difficult to get desired information. The bill-pay process is limiting, the devoted loan process unreasonably restricting. I wish you would leave well enough alone. Add, but don't change or take away. It's as if you WANT me to leave NWCU and go elsewhere.
It's a quick and eash way to check your account and make transactions and such, but I feel like it crashes or just doesn't work too often. They are making an effort to improve it and I respect that. Plus if the app doesn't work just check the online site. All in all it's convenient and easy to use.
Things work great, again.. Love using the app.PLEASE FIX! I literally just posted my 4 star review. When I went to go back into my account, I couldn't log in. I tried with wi-fi and with just my data package and it still won't log in. This has been happening for me for a full week. Obviously, something is wrong, and judging from the other reviews, for long enough you would think they would have fixed it, or at least respond to these negative reviews. Not sure anyone who cares is reading these...
I like the convenience of depositing checks and transferring money without having to go to the bank. Saves me so much time! The last update made the fonts too big to fit properly on my phone, so some words are cut off. Otherwise it's good.
Great app, customer service is awesome when you call they are very helpful, professional and easy to work with. Northwest Community Credit Union is a great place to bank I have been a member for 7 to 10 years and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to change or upgrade their bank from their current bank
I like the ease of access on my phone but I wish the credit card services part was easier to see, read, navigate, and interact with. That part is, in my opinion, terribly problematic.
Terrible App/Devellopers. Every single time they make a change to the app you have to uninstall it and reinstall it. since their last change it flat out dosent work and I have only been able to log into my account one time. If they do not fix this i will switch banks.
Tired of touching the screen, only to have a cycling ad interfere! Why have it at the top section?! Please, move it to a less used/touched area in the viewing area. I press the screen, it slides open: I then attempt to make my selection ...but, at the same moment the ad pops up at the top (moving the selection menu down) ...and sends me where I did NOT WANT TO Go. Taking me to another page over and over again is aggravating and a waste of time and energy. Not a good design feature!
