It used to be maybe a 3- to 4-star app. My experience has been not great, but not poor, until recently. I just realized I had a mobile deposit from a year ago fail to clear, I was not notified there was an issue until going through my records last month. More pressing is the fact that I haven't been able to log into the app for over a week due to an error taking longer to log in. I can access my accounts with no issue through a browser. This is especially annoying as I am no longer local.

Recently I've begun to experience log in issues that state there may be a connection error. It times out, and this process repeats until I've logged in my information multiple times and am finally able to reach my information. It sure is frustrating not having proper access to my financial information when it is needed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this app multiple times. The update that caused this bug, 2 months old. I read multiple, negative reviews. Time to acknowledge your customers.

There's something wrong with the app, as it won't load my account information anymore. A pop-up states it's still trying even though my connection may be slow, but my internet connection is good. I've uninstalled and installed the app numerous times over the past few days, hoping it needed a simple reboot, to no avail. I rely on this app to manage all of my accounts, but now I have no access due to this issue. Ugh!

it's amazing what one year can do. everytime I use it now it's received then it takes three hours for them to reject the deposit because of poor picture quality. the app won't allow me to manually focus and I can't zoom in after the picture is taken to see if it's blurry. help me help you. Update 6/23/20 works alot better on the approvals. I'd still like a flashlight option when doing mobile deposits.

I have not been able to use this app for the past month. It just spins stating "Loading". I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled and re-registered my device multiple times and it still will not load my accounts. At first, I thought it was due to the fingerprint enabled but it will not work even with just the User Id/password combo. I can log in through the browser. I am using an Android device. Please fix soon!! I installed the update 1/16 and it is working perfectly again! thank you!

The app works. However, it doesnt keep you logged in very long, which is a problem when trying to read anything longer than about 4 sentences - and it doesn't count scrolling or tapping the screen as actively using the app. It also has the weirdest camera angle I've ever seen when trying to deposit checks, which makes it very difficult to line them up. Idk why they couldn't just have the camera work normally.

I used to really like this app. Mobile deposit works. Transferring money is a breeze.. Overall, the app isn't bad.. But I have a NW credit account and I can't make a payment on my mobile device. Every time you have to review the "Terms and Conditions" it loads a document and sends me back to the home screen. I'm never able to actually make a payment. This was only after the update. It used to work just fine. No it's NO BUENO!!!!

Unable to perform remote deposits on two separate phones (Note 8 and Pixel 3 XL) over a period of two months. "Error remote deposit capture unavailable". EDIT: I added the email address to my account and was able to successfully deposit the check remotely. It's worth noting however two support agents did not catch this, but if anyone has the same problem hopefully they see the response below.

Update: you can log in on your regular browser and add to home screen, and delete this useless app. Absolutely the worst, scrolls endlessly, fails to connect 80-90% of the time. Tells me my connection may be slow, but every other site on the net connects instantly. Wish I could give 0 stars. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it's been pending/scrolling for an hour now. I'm always amazed in cases like this that the people who designed this remain employed

App was working great till they switched to new payment processor . Now the app won't even open on my phone. Has been doing this for at least a month maybe longer. Before that it worked fine. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it about six or seven times. And I try to keep leaving feedback and hear nothing. all the customer service phone line says is that they know about the problem and they're working on it. I suggested maybe they ought to go back to the other client.

This app has turned into literal garbage. Ever since the large update to the new system it's repeatedly gone downhill after each update. Sign in works what feels like and average of 1 out of every 50 times now. If it does work it is also somewhat convenient for banking purposes. I also don't see the need to accept the terms of agreement every time a credit card payment is scheduled. Can't even open the agreement to view it anyway. The old apps payment system was much much better.

This app is garbage tier. Its not intuitive at all. Adding a new bank account is a major PITA. It always wants to text me every single time I log in even after I remember the device. Whats even worse, is every single time you make a payment you have to enter another texted code. Who makes you enter a 2 factor code to make a payment??? Finally, after you change a password via the app, it constantly upon entering the log in screen, goes directly to the make a new password screen. AWFUL APP!!!

Terrible!!!! Something as simple as paying my monthly mortgage is a process. The phone call verification (only way to make a payment) doesn't allow me to accept after I've entered in the verification code. It only works when I cancel, redo & enter it into the pending payment. The app interface is confusing and hard to navigate. Specific fields don't work at all when applying for a checking acct, which I needsince you cant pay any principal on a loan without having a Northwest acct apparently!!!

I LOVE the mobile deposit! We no longer have a bank in my very small town. Being able to take a picture of a check and have it credited to my account saves me more than 40 minutes (plus gas). I am not very tech savy and this app is straightforward and easy to use and navigate. I really like having the choice of using a pin # (instead of password) to sign to the app. I haven't used it, but I know one can transfer $$ by using this app. Overall I would definitely recommend Northwest & the app

I like the app except that it doesn't update my acct sometimes. My deposits or purchases won't even be pending. Or they will and then they'll disappear only to return the next day. The worst is when I'm trying to see if a check has posted and the app shows that it hasn't when in actuality it has. I can't trust that it's correct without going to the ATM to verify it. I thought the app was supposed to make that unnecessary. It's a bit frustrating.

I wish zero stars was an option. The majority of the time it just won't launch my accounts. The app either accepts my password and then does nothing, or it tries to connect showing a "loading" message and eventually times out. I've contacted customer service, uninstalled; all with no luck. At times, when it actually does launch; my balances are way off, or only one of my accounts are even shown. If changing banks wasn't such a pain, I would be gone.

Normally a good app. Frustrated by the updates that break things. Why? Prime example: go to deposit a check and the image from the camera is oddly rotated 90 degrees and compressed. Unable to deposit as a result (deposit declined). It's been maybe 6 months since I've used this function. Worked fine on my android phone before.

I considered it above 4 stars until the latest update on May 12th. It became nearly useless to me after that. It now rarely connects and is very slow updating transactions. Not minutes or even hours slow. Rather, days slow - when I can even connect to see it. It is a complete reversal of how good the app was before it was, "improved." If it is fixed, I'll change my review.

Was working fine before then this update came through a few days ago and it has been awful. Won't even let me log in no matter what credentials I use. Restarted which fixed it for a few minutes then I just tried again and right back to the same issue. Update:(Oct. 8) Tried a factory reset on my phone to see if it was something I was doing and no luck. The app is completely unusable. Very frustrating as I used this app religiously before this happened.

Using cash app zelle when setting up an account the search for the banking app doesn't give the correct banking app option. It keeps give access to the business app option. This isn't correct. The other issue is that if you already have the right app on your phone or tablet the setup feature doesn't notice or give you a choice to select that one.

Horrible it was slow and buggy before, but not won't even work at all. Between this app not working at all , and the outright refusal to answer their phone they have lost a customer. Had heard some decent things about this bank so I tried them out but gonna go to someone that can actually build an app and online platform that works. They have only been around for 20 years or so guess it takes some banks quite some time to catch up with others.

Since the the app updated on October 1st, it disappeared from my phone. I had to keep going into the Google store to use it. I finally uninstalled then reinstalled it and now I am able to have it on my main screen. I also turned off the automatic updates for this app. Hopefully , I will be able to use it when it updates again. I spent all too much time on this app. Unhappy customer.
