It's Norton, so it's good! I've noticed over the years, security software (i.e., McAfee, Kaspersky, et al) accumulates market share and then coasts until it gets hacked or a software flaw gets discovered. My experience with Norton is satisfying because they don't seem to reach a cruising altitude and then switch to auto-pilot. I am kept apprised of security threats; patches, when needed are done unobtrusively and quickly; and the wrap-around multi-device licensing is most affordable.
This is the most frustrating app from Norton. I've been through every step including clearing non-essential data from each browser on this Samsung Note 8 with plenty of real-estate to accommodate the program. Yet I still end up like many here with a screen asking to locate this phone with a cryptic area to enter undefined data. Norton security is an excellent program, and one I've recommended as a corporate computer security professional. However, that recommendation will be tempered now.
Oh my god... The other 1-star reviews couldn't be more right. What a waste of time. I had an offer in my account for free Norton Screen Care for one phone. All I had to do was download this app and register my phone. Downloading the app was easy; however, the screen to find my phone didn't return a single make/model. I search on over a dozen types, just to see if it was working. So, I logged into chat support to see if they could direct me. I waited for over thirty minutes only to learn that a different support center supported the app. They promised a callback within 30 minutes. I got a call, but was informed that I needed to send an email to another department to fix it. Total BS! App is deleted. Don't waste your time.
I've had Norton 360 and Lifelock for some time. I received the free offer for Norton Device Care for my phone and for 3.99 for my wife's phone the first week of December 2021. The app no longer allows me to select subsequent screen for my phone. The effective dates for our phones keep moving 30 days into the future each time I check. After two months, December and January, they quit charging for my wife's subscription. As of today, the app says that my waiting period ends 04/09/22 and my wife's ends 04/08/22. No one at Norton seems to be able to provide support. As an aside, the App feedback within the app uses a bad email address, so don't try to complain or get assistance with that.
Doesn't Work! Same experience as several other reviews. I downloaded and installed the app and went through 2-step verification successfully. Then... The next screen required me to search for my phone (something the app should probably be able to determine on its own), but it could not find my phone or any other brand or model I could think of. There is no way to go beyond this screen, so I had to abort and uninstall the app.
Everything Norton is the best of the best when it comes to protecting the security of your expensive electronic devices. With this one, your device is also protected against screen damage. Norton just keeps getting better, offering the ultimate protection for a pleasantly reasonable price. App works seamlessly without draining battery or slowing down your processes. I've got everything Norton offers in all my devices, mobile and land based.
I have several apps and subscriptions that claim to monitor my credit reports, dark web, etc. for identity threats and not a single one of them actually stepped up when it happened, EXCEPT NORTON. They were on top of it!! Some loser actually applied for and received a payday loan under my name and also tried to open a bank account with chase Bank. Thank goodness for Norton. That's one bill I won't ever consider cutting from my budget.
If I could have given 1/4 or 1/2 a star rating I would have do so. I have supported and used Norton products for the better part of 30+ years but this screen protection gag takes the. cake. I have tried on 2 different occasions to get re-imbused for screens I paid to be replaced and have yet to have one penny sent my way. It's a total con and dealing with people half way around the world doesn't help the situation when trying to call them to fix your problem. This a comedy act
Cumbersome app. Not sure if it's running or protecting at all times which us what I want. It keeps resetting itself. Same is for my laptop... keeps saying to fix. But it's near impossible. I spend way too much time on the app.
Supposedly one screen is free with an account but all I see is it wanting me to buy a plan. Somewhat of a bait and switch.... However it is so confusing it deserves a low rating even if it is legitimate.
After payments and deductible, the claim refund is minimal. The app not so intuitive either. The process takes quite a while to complete and is very particular.
This app is horrible. Downloaded and deleted the app several times. The Search for Phone section is bogus. I tried to search for my Pixel and got nothing. I tried other manufacturers and found nothing. I called Norton and got passed around. Finally was told they would call me back. Never happened! I've lost all confidence in Norton! Never again will I renew my subscription.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I filed a claim for screen repair through the app after the required 30 day waiting period, but never heard back. When I finally got through their support number, the rep said my claim had been rejected because they needed the name on my bank account, my email address (which Norton already has), and my phone number. I was already uncomfortable about not knowing what data the app is collecting. The $75 benefit is not worth this.
Developer is helpful!! If you have problems, is your phone on the list of covered devices? My Samsung Galaxy S20 was not on list, so this app was useless for the first few months & I finally contacted the developer. After a few weeks of regular, meaningful email exchanges with me, they resolved the problem and I now have coverage. (Now, I hope I never need the coverage.)
Can't use it, I thought it came with my subscription. I couldn't use it to find my phone, both devices I have, it came up saying "Some devices are not compatible with this app." So I guess Samsung note 9 and tablets can't use it. It's hard to find a help screen.
Trying to install this app has been a very frustrating experience. Each time I sign in I have to go through the captcha verification several times. When that is satisfied I click sign-in only to be told that I have exceeded myattempt, or that it can't contact the server, or that I'm not eligible for the service.
I just renewed my subscription and was pleasantly surprised by this new offering. However when I went to register my device, OnePlus 6T, I couldn't find it. At first I thought maybe was my model but than I tried Samsung, Apple, etc with no luck so have to believe the app isn't working properly. Please advise how to register
When I renewed my Norton online protection, this was offered as a thank you from the company. The hyperlink provided never went to the offer, so i just went through the app store. All that and the app doesnt even work! it doesnt recognize the phone its installed upon! Ugh. **UPDATE: they sent me the offer AGAIN, this time as an anniversay gift. AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK! Worse, that "contact us" email they're leaving on all the negative reviews ALSO DOESN'T WORK. Sent 2 messages with NO REPLY..
I recognize I'm in the minority, but I use a Blackberry Key2, and this particular device is not supported. I'm okay with that, because I recognize that Norton specializes in software security, not screen repair. But I'm frustrated I took the time to install the app on my phone at all.
Keep getting this invitation to activate my latest perks that's included in my overall package deal, just one problem. The link to click on and login doesn't work, as soon as I enter my ID/password it redirect me again to login page. Very irritating and unprofessional link from a household brand, very dissatisfied and disappointed.
I would love to be able to give a more helpful review but I can't even log into the app. It keeps telling me that there is a problem contacting the server. I have tried to access this app while on 3 separate wifi networks and my mobile network (unsuccessfully). Please help.
I downloaded the app for my Nortons screen care offer and when it came time to submit a claim, I couldn't. So I wrote customer service, and after a few days of e-mails and an update, I was able to submit a claim. However when the app updated, it restarted my "cooldown" 30 day period. It was because of this, my claim has been rejected. I wrote customer service again, and have been waiting 3 days for a reply. I would not recommend paying for this service.
Unsatisfactory on phone. Keeps asking for a password and user name, but doesn't indicate which one. I've entered the Norton user name and password 3 times and it hasn't recognized it. About ready to dump the program.
This whole process has been a nightmare. The customer service with Servifi, the company contracted to do the device care, is absolutely horrible. I have spent hours trying to resolve simple issues, and it takes days/weeks for them to reply to emails. Norton, you'd be wise to fix this or dump this contractor.
Tried for a month to submit claim. Just spins. This app is a scam. I will be canceling my Norton Subscription that I have had for 10 + years. This is just not right to offer you something and no other way to submit claim. Customer service emails are a joke. 1/2 stars.
Our family has had Norton for several years. We like all of the features included in the Premium Family subscription. And now I have screen protection on my phone. Thanks Norton!
Device Care, under my Norton 360, is fast and easy to enroll in. I used to give 5 stars. For years Norton has worked well for me. I picked a plan and I was done. Now there seems to only be the expensive 360 or I get a stripped down version of my former plan. They put me in a "trial run" of 360 which angers me since I auto-pay. Are they going to take me out of 360 or just skyrocket my Price without permission? And Norton Password is a joke. I'll probably switch to Geek Squad's WebRoot.
Cannot activate. It has you "search for your phone" but gives no direction on how to do it. I searched several ways using Samsung, S10e, official model number, etc... and got nothing. Norton's protection claim is worthless because you can't ever register you're device!
My Galaxy S10e is not supported I guess, and neither was my S8.. I tried entering a bunch of different phone types just for the heck of it and nothing came up for any of them. Not sure why this is happening, and I am always satisfied Norton products to this surprises me
First it says on Norton 360 account "now included" in my upgraded plan. But the app charges to add devices. That seems like a bait and switch to me. Now for the app. Slow to respond difficult to find the brand and model having to go through every model... search is not up to par. I would have to type most of the model as it can't do global search on say a 2018 model or 7* Fe that would cover a group. I'll come back around.
