Very well designed application which does what is intended for. Highly recommended if you you're a Norwegian frequent flyer. The only annoying is that if you make a flight search, switch to another app and return back again to the Norwegian app, it will clear the last search result and will return you back to the initial search page. If they fix that, it will become an excellent app.
Works very well expect some small UX features that could be better such as: app allows you to check in for flights that actually only allow you to check it at the airport. I even could download the travel. Document and was lucky enough to realize there was no Barcode on them...some airports don't allow you in without one.
The app works pretty decently but there's no option to save your personal information for future use which makes concurrent ticket purchases a bit tedious. Unrelated to the app, their baggage fees if your bag is over weight can cost more than the price of your ticket. At the time I'm writing this the allowed combined weight is 10kg for any ticket except their most expensive option. The thing that made me angry was that I was stopped as I was about to board the plane and forced to pay.
The app randomly signs me out, which is specially inconvenient in the middle of a booking process when you want your prefilled information easily at hand. Normally get an error code and asked to continue the prosess later. I end up using the website for booking rather than the app. The look and layout of the app is nice and showing your ticket is easy. The booking process is also nice, when it works flawlessly.
There is a fault both with this app and the mobile web page, that doesn't occur on the main computer web page. If you try to change a flight it does not allow you to select a date earlier than the date you have booked. For example I have a flight booked for Dec 14th but need to change it to Dec 1st. However on both the app and Android website it will only allow me to book dates after the 14th, not before. Days earlier cannot be selected. However, using the website on a computer this isn't an issue.
Not a bad app but a few false starts..like when you scan QR code of covid vaccination it states Completed then stays on that screen ..have to come out & go back in to proceed with Check in. Plus the baggage page appears to be asking for you to confirm you are checking in a suitcase, but really it's asking if you want to pay for an additional suitcase, a little confusing. Bit I checked in ok, in the end :)
Nice interface, but can't be trusted. The app showed the wrong gate info, and we could have missed our flight if we had trusted it. Thankfully we kept an eye on the departure boards. If you're going to provide info, it has to be reliable, or you may as well not bother. Also worth noting that the SMS updates also gave the wrong gate info :-(
One really annoying bug that did not allow me to check-in initially. App threw an error msg: "must only contain valid characters", although I checked the details 10+ times. happy to send screenshot, so that you can reproduce the bug that I experienced(hopefully).
Application is simple and smooth, I would like the ability to export the boarding pass in google pass. Also while the app lets me to check in and I got boarding pass. I got a notification that check in must be done on the airport. This create confusion.
It's a really great app. Full of information and it's incredibly easy to manage your trips from the app, as well as purchase additional tickets. You can also change certain things regarding your booking (such as the seat and stuff like that) directly in the app.
I can see my account, but can not add a booking manually. The app crashes with a message that there is a bug and wait for an upgrade. Using a Samsung S21 Ultra.
It has been a great app to book and do checkin quite easily and quickly. Esp ideal of backpackers who carry no luggage. Saves a lot of time otherwise spent in queues.
Several times now this app has either logged me out and been unable to log me back in or failed to check in and given me a generic error code. It's unreliable and gives you no useful information when it fails. I nearly missed a flight because it stopped working just before boarding and I had to download a new boarding card in my browser.
I downloaded it for a flight. I had to go through the entire process and I was surprised to not encounter any bug through my journey. Also, the UI is pretty great! It really deserves its high score (4.2 at the moment, which is a record among other airlines' APIs)
Useless App. You have to manually add your trips which is a hassle or risk signing up and getting overwhelmed with spam email. Notifications for your flight are late or non-existent. And worst of all it is extremely difficult to check into your flight on this app. Don't bother downloading this app.
Best app on the marked, period. Clean, smooth, intuitive and easy to use for everyone, does what it supposed to do without advertisements. Norwegian as a company also provide the world's best service. Keep up the great work!
Functional and useful for frequently users. Easy and simple for checking in on flights. The only downside is that I don't really get notifications of the messages about my flights. If they get delayed, for example.
This airline is a fraud. They book your flights and consistantly cancel last minute. The app doesnt work in order to rebook the flight and customer service is rude and I'll trained. I never reccomend flying this airline. There are better companies than one that does not care for customer service. They do not deserve any stars but I need to voice my discontent to anyone with options to fly on any other airline. Must also be aware that Norwegian does nothing to communicate and fix their issues.
It keeps on crushing when swipkng between passengers, it's been months now with this problem!! Basically it is not possible to see other passengers in existing reservations except for the first one. It's incredibly annoying
Very useful app when traveling with Norwegian. Allows you to check in, few flight status such as gate, seating, delays etc. Also functions as boarding pass if you want. I've encountered no bugs or issues past few years.
i used to be able to use your app for researching or booking my flights between Orlando/MCO & Budapest. Now I all the app says is try a different month there are no flights... and not just Budapest. I just flew back to FL March 22 uaing the app for everything from booking to boardi gand Stockholm transfer, now every travel website has your flights which ARE AVAILABLE but not in Norwegian app... disappointing.
Both times I used this app it worked fine up until boarding, when my boarding pass and flights completely disappeared from the app. When trying to add it manually it shows an error. That's just unacceptable.
Whenever I click add booking, the app crashes. I reinstalled it, but it still keeps crashing. There does not appear to be any way to check in in browser. So I suppose I will have to check in at the airport. When I flew Norwegian last time, before Covid, there was no such issue. PS: I have a Samsung Galaxy s9 edge without other issues, this is isolated to the Norwegian app. Other airline apps work fine.
