As a Notary Signing Agent I notarize many documents at each closing. Notary Act is a great way to organize and record each notarization. But most importantly, when the there is a problem with the app, the technical support that is offered is "very hands on" to ensure the problem is corrected and the app is working correctly. I have ben using this app for more than one year. Brian Pitcher
Great app when it works. It stopped uploading my entries to the system a month ago and just had them as "pending" - reached out to the company for help but no reply. It just deleted my 17 pending entries which defeats the whole purpose of having an electronic journal. Really irritated.
Great App. makes keeping my journal records a breeze. the scanning feature auto enters names and addresses saving me so much time. i really like the new version where I immediately see my entries and I can customize my documents.
This app indeed is a time saver for Loan Signing Agents. Having the ability to customize this journal to your state needs is great and is what makes it functional for me. I would suggest an update specifically for signing agents and maybe setups for each specific state.
I'm really love this app! Journaling was so time consuming and I dreaded doing it. Now it's not so bad. The features make sense and are well thought out. Highly recommend to any notary that sees the importance of proper documentation.
Scanner doesn't work at all. Total waste of time. Takes longer to manually type data than to just write it in a journal. The whole reason I downloaded it was to scan DLs to save time. Useless app
Personally I think this is a great product, saves time, and the cost of this program a year compared to purchasing 4/5 journals a year according to how many signings you do is well worth the price tag. And CUSTOMER SERVICE, when you have the individual who created the program willing to get on the phone and explain and walk you through the steps of how to use the program properly, WELL WORTH IT!!! Thank you Mr. Lee
I've been trying for the last month to subscribe from the app and it keeps closing out. Just had a notary and had to use my physical journal, good thing I brought it with me.
NotaryAct is the greatest! No more lugging awkward/heavy journals. My journal is as close as my phone. I love it.
So let's put aside that this is an amazing app, the cusomter service even after hours is well A++++. I would recommend this app for any notary allowed to use digital notary journal in their state.
Love this app. I will never go back to a paper journal. It's so streamlined and efficient. Customer service is top-notch. He will actually call you to help with any questions. 👍👍👍
I love how you can scan the back of the ID's and it will autofill the info. Such a time saver and the GPS.
So far no good- Downloaded this app today, can't get past "create account"- app completely kicks you out when you try to enter you commissioned state.

The Notary Act application is a must have for any Notary Public -- Especially those who take organization and their legal documentation responsibilities seriously. The app is user-friendly, offers amazing flexibility, and is beyond convenient. It's also worth noting that the staff supporting the app is equally helpful and amazing. Notary Act is genuinely brilliant! Update 2018: Notary Act just keeps getting better and better. I've found that each and every improvement has contributed to my professional benefit.
Love it!!! So much better than writing in journal.
Update: the previous version of the app was being reported by Norton as sending the list of apps on the device to India, but now with the last update it no longer has that issue. Therefore, I raised my rating. Also, the issue of IDs not scanning was fixed. Sends list of apps being used on the device to Chennai India. Considering that there are drivers licenses and secure information, and that you advertised at the national notary association, can the developers explain why?
What am I doing wrong to scan the identification. I see the red line, tap all areas and nothing. This would help if the info can be pre-scanned. I have multiple entries, but it's really time consuming.
Use it daily and I love it!
With one tap read the barcode of the drivers license to fill in the person's info, another tap records an image of the license itself. I about 20 seconds you capture everything you need! You can add fields to take more data, e.g. loan signings, etc. Works for multiple accounts for a business. Can't recommend enough!
This apps allows me to always have my notary journal arround. Even though my state does not require a journal I keep one to protect myself and keeping it electronically is so convenient. I recommand it to all my colleagues.
I've been using this app for about 2 1/2 years now and I absolutely love it and can't imagine what it would be like to go back to a paper journal ever again! Had a minor issue contacted the company, got immediate GREAT Customer Service, the new scan option (coming soon to android) that I have used on my Apple device worked perfectly. I was able to scan the bar code on the drivers license and all the data transferred into the app, simple and works amazingly well. Especially great for health care notaries!!
Well, I got it installed, but during the login (why do you need my phone number??) it got hung up on an error reading "Don't change your email address" and would let me go no further. I couldn't figure the error out after 6 or 7 attempts, and so gave up. Will now uninstall.
Because I don't do a whole lot of notarizing, I wanted to have a "pay per entry" account. No matter how many times I tried to set that up, the app constantly defaulted to "pay per month" so that I was paying fees even though I wasn't using the service. If it weren't for that, I would have kept it because I liked the format and easy to use UI.
