I tried this last year but couldn't make it work. Now that I have a phone with an integrated styIus, I thought I'd try it again. And it does recognize your input, if you're patient and let it adapt to your style. But it turns out you can't enter chord symbols, or text of any kind, unless you pay for it. So although it recognizes music, you can't use it to jot down some simple chord/melody ideas because it won't let you draw a few text characters on the screen? Can you spell "tease"?
This seems to work well for transcribing music, but what's the point in upgrading if the one function it's good for - importing an image of the sheet music you need to transcribe - isn't automatically included in the upgrade and you have to pay an extra $30, almost doubling the price, to add on that feature? That's BS.
I really love this app. I came back to it after a few years because it was too frustrating to use. Now it's great EXCEPT it's recently started crashing every time I try to edit a score. I have a time line to get these arrangements done and I emailed the developers weeks ago, but still have yet to hear back. It would be 5 stars if the app would stop crashing. Why did I pay for this?
Is useful to write music on the go. I have a Samsung tablet with a pen which makes for a good interface. Most of the time notes and markings are recognised, you just have to practice to understand what works, and for the app to get used to your handwriting. Handy to create midi files for importing into DAW.
I would love to know when I'm going to get my money back? I don't think this is a friendly app the app's menu is just not enough they should try to make something similar to Sibelius I couldn't write two measure and I have a lot of experience with notations program Please answer me back and give my money thanks
app worked great at the beginning of the school year, I would have to redo some notes, but nothing major. Now it will not let me send my work to my email or my Google drive. So I can't save my work.
Useless. Only supports one staff, no multiples. And when taking photo, it hardly detects any of the notes anyway.
When writing a note and making it very obvious what note it was over and over again (with a stylist and fingers) it would register the note as a different one.
I wanted to make drum sheet, but I this app doesn't have the ability to make a drum sheet.
I am slightly disgusted because of the system of your app. Please improve your app now or your app will be considered as a "poor-quality music creator".

I really wanted to like this app. I need something like this app, but right now it's easier to use pen and paper. It kept crashing. It never figured out anything beyond notes --- couldn't handle natural sign, problems with sharp, flat symbols. I ended up with a score that looked like a mess, and which was hard to edit.
Just awful. Desperately wanted this to work but the editing and recognition is hideous. My money is ready waiting for when it does what it says on the tin properly.
App works ok for a free thing, but I wouldn't want it this unreliable for the kind of money they ask for the full product. INFURIATING that you need to purchase Notateme in order to get the full version of Photoscore as I have no use at all for Notateme and use Photoscore Now all the time. Why can't I just buy the bit I want?
I'm still trying the free version and it works great. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to make the repeat feature work... Can't wait to start getting fully familiar with all the functionalities to switch to pro version
Nobody needs an app that recognises your handwriting, an app that is easy and intuitive to use that let's you create music scores and plays them back to help people visualise music would be much more useful...
Not a great score creator because everything is ONLY PRO and it costs money!
So... I couldn't find anyway to change the tempo... not on the app, not on the manual, not on the webpage... Am I condemed to write music in just one speed?

I hope they can improve more the photoscore in detecting staves.. Please fix also the recognition for quarter note. Most of the time, my quarter note is being converted into quarter rest...I also want to get the full version of it but it is too expensive for me..
Just the perfect thing I wanted but it is actually designed to not work with anything ide like it to do. it didnt work well a few months back and even still. My main issues are "not detecting staves" and it never working well with sharps and flats at a rate of perhaps 7 out of 10. Biggest problem is...I could keep it and use it for simpler things but why when I have something else for that and it's better. this is supposed to be at least 10 steps better. 2 stars for the concept, but really a 1.
