Notch Remover

There are some really cool features in this app, but the bar that is supposed to hide the app gets put in the wrong place in landscape mode leaving the notch totally visible. Instead of a black bar that goes from the edge of the screen to the bottom of the notch area, the black bar starts at the bottom of the notch area and continues to cover part of the app. As a result, wide angle movies are still partially cut off by the notch, then cut off again by a misplaced black stripe.

This app does not cover 100% of apps. Chrome for example will show only a black statusbar and nothing else (no battery, time etc). For those of you like me, who are looking for an app to black out the statusbar as well as add rounded corners, that works for 100% of the time, use an app called Nacho Notch. It works 100% of the time as far as I can tell. It has limitations and I would personally choose THIS app if it worked 100% of the time but it doesn't, and until then I will be using natcho notch.

I have an LG V40 with a notch and this app does an excellent job hiding the notch on all 3rd party apps. It also let's me add rounded corners so it could match the rounded corners of my phone. You could adjust and tweak the options if you need to, it should work with any Android phone that has a notch. One tiny suggestion to the developer is to add a more precise & custom percentage for the height of the notch so the user could get it perfect looking. Landscape mode is bad also and didn't work.

excellent, but it changes the colour of my navigation bar despite turning off the option to decorate it. also, the app doesn't work on the lock screen. 5 stars if these issues are fixed. my phone is the Pocophone f1. Edit: just discovered my requests can't be done in Android 9 and in my device

Finally. Finally.. FINALLY. You guys is the best! I've tried many notch remover apps but they just don't do it all. Example: this app can have your icons seen even when they normally change black. OTHERS, you won't see ANYTHING. Like when you go into amazon app the icons will change to a black color.

Pretty happy at first w/ this app, but then when I'm at an app with dark notifications icons, it becomes invisible, e.g. Google Play, Instagram, etc. I don't think this app fix this problem, so I guess I had to leave my notch there 😞 *edit* I noticed that there's an update to fix this, but it still wont work on my Oppo F7

absolutely loved the app... would love it even more of edge lighting is also added to it... also when i go to apps that has full whote screen for example settings the top blackened area gets dark and i cannot see the time or the battery percentage.. its pitch black please fix this issue

The black bar with the curves should auto-move to the right side if landscape mode is in clockwise direction. No issue when landscape mode is in anti-clockwise direction, when the notch is on the left. I hope this will be fixed.

it is a great app .. but if it can make these things it will be perfect !! 1. an option to disappear on homescreen and gallery to have full display and not hiding the content 2. an icon for it in notification panel to easily access to turn it on or off without opening the app

Does not work right on Mi A2 Lite. Creates an unwanted bottom border. Worse though, the navigation bar is now permanent and will not auto hide, even after an uninstall of the app. Not sure how to fix this. I recommend avoid the app. If anyone know how to bring back my immersive screen, please chime in.

I really want to like this app, but there is one major issue with it. There is no option to change the colors of the corners/status bar, which is currently a pure black. And if you didn't know, OLED Pure Black = Burn-in! Until now, I wouldn't recommend anyone to use it, unless they want burn-in...

I tried many notch remover or notch hiding app but this is the best in google store. Why best because it not only removes or hide notch on main screen but even works on other apps on my phone and even we can edit the shape & size of notch which other notch hiding apps doesn't e.g. on video player, which makes the play back of video wonderful to watch without notch. Good work developers.

I am constantly turning it off then (back) on to get it to work. When it's "on" it works fine. Unfortunately it randomly stops working even though the App says it's "on".

I had previously used Nacho Notch which was inconsistent with the apps it worked with. Android 10 all but broke it, but this works with EVERY app I use. Plus a great addition of rounding the corners. The app I previously used for this was also inconsistent, but again this works with EVERY app I use. PERFECT!!!

Very good app for my Sharp Aquos S2. But it has some issues with apps that have controls on the area where the app is hiding. It will be very useful to implement an app ignore list to overcome this trouble.

Thanks for the new update but nothing changed after this update too for my Asus Zenfone 5z with Android 9. So please check with some more devices before uploading it to playstore. It's shows big bar after notch while watching YouTube and playing games. The content of the game and YouTube shows in the notch side areas. Need some more attention for this bug. plz make changes ASAP.

works good for a few hours then is turned off. on a oppo r15 and probably caused by the power saving features even though these are disabled as much as possible.

There'a bug that shows up on my Xiaomi Mi A3: when playing videos in full screen landscape orientation, it draws the black tile just below the notch rather than right across it.

This app works how it's meant to the only problem is in some apps you can't see your status bar, Like in the play store or settings Edit: A new update fixed this issue.

Lately the notch has been showing every few days. I have to open the app and toggle the switch to hide it again. I'm not sure what the issue is.

Works very good. Status bar icon color is fine ,but nav bar icons are white all the time. Only in Landscape mode is ok Moto One

This does nothing in poco f1. It hides notch only when this app is running. I have default setting already to hide notch in miui but it crops the full screen games. So I thought to try this and its worst

looks good on the home screen. but go into YouTube or any other landscape app. massive odd wedge in the middle of the screen

Good only when portrait, very bad when landscape, not only it dont hide the notch, but also it show a black line in the notch area but still keep the noth there!!

When I got a new phone, I wondered what is this piece of poopoo on top of the screen? I did some research and it came to me getting this app. It destroyed the notch, the camera, and the screen around it. 1 star.

It's decent, really does the job, only issue I have is that it doesn't start on startup or work on lock screen.

This is the App I am reviewing on playstore for the first time. Big thanks for the developer. I am using a realme 2 pro mobile. Personally I hate notch. It irritates. And I was eagerly waiting for this kinda app.
