At the first start you need to choose the name of the database (only the name or the complete path in memory) and press the Create button.After choosing your password, you can open the database pressing the Open button.

Note Crypt Donate / Pro has extra features like:
• Auto create an hidden backup database for prevent loss of data if there are errors while saving (saved with the name ."database name")
• Auto close the database, after 5 minutes, if you didn't and the current active application isn't Note Crypt (eg. If you exit with the home button). By doing so at the next opening of Note Crypt you need to re-enter the password for read your notes.
• Ability of search through your notes.
After installing Note Crypt Donate / Pro, you can uninstall Note Crypt (Free version) without loose your notes.
Note Crypt allow you to:
• Create different encrypted, with password, database (files).
• Add new notes in a database choosing for each of them: title, tags and text of the note.
• Filter by Tag the list of the notes.
• Mark the notes as important by clicking the star icon.
• Sorting notes by alphabet or creation date.
• Change the password of an existing database.
• The database is encrypted with AES 128 bit, using cipher-block chaining (CBC), PKCS5Padding and a random IV generated at every save. For the KDF is used a random salt and PBKDF2WithHmacSHA1.
If you forgot your password, the notes will be inaccessible.
With the next updates more features will be added.
UPDATES:Now the default database location is the folder NoteCrypt on your external memory (eg. /storage/emulated/0/NoteCrypt)

Cant open this has happend several times tells me password is incorect when its the same password i have been using for quite some time have to uninstall and reinstall in order for password to work for at least a week then the same thing happens
I would pay for a "share all" option to the clipboard so I could export all my notes as plain text.
Sometimes notes randomly appear empty, and your info is gone.
Buggy. Selected notes would be erased (cleared).
Keep updates and improving
Great app, as far as I can tell is not linked online so protects privacy
No complaints except ability to share via BT would rock.
Nice to have app
Very nice app! Very user friendly & also very fast. Having the ability to have multiple databases is also excellent! Encrypted content is very well done. Dev is very responsive! The update (04/14/14) is very well done. Thank you for updating the back button functionality! Very nice improvement. The addition of starring notes as important adds a nice feature as well. Looking forward to seeing this apps continued development!
I bought this app for donate to the developer for his great work. And the automatic backup function is very useful.
Have been use this app for long time. Waiting update for changing theme and dark background color. Great job.
Excellent app doing just the minimum job very well without doing anything else sneakily in the background. There are no network access. I don't want want it to do more with more features. My data privacy and security are maintained. After adding new notes, you have to click the save icon on the top right corner of the screen. Develope a habit of always save. Without saving first before going back to previous screen, you could lose your data.
