Note Recognition - Convert Music into Sheet Music
The note analyzer works with pitch detection and frequency analysis (like FFT Fast Fourier Transformation for example) and is perfect for musicians (especially vocal and guitar or piano players). The note analyzer listens to your music, analyzes it's pitch and converts your music back into an alternative sheet music. You can use it to detect the notes of your songs (note identification, the app helps you creating a transcription), validate the pitch of your voice, sing into the microphone and use it as a vocal trainer or to transcribe your songs while playing along with your guitar (or whichever instrument you are playing). And of course, you can also use the note recognition app as a simple audio / voice recorder.
This note detector won't extract 100% of the played notes but depending on the quality of the signal the note detection algorithm will do a good job and will give you useful sheet music suggests. Because the detector can't separate multiple instruments you will get the best results if just one instrument is playing simultaneously or if you record your voice without any background music. Also, you should place your phone in front of your instrument, your voice or your speakers to improve the detection quality.
Please note that the note recognition algorithm performs intense mathematical calculations and it will take some time to analyze your recorded audio.
To be fair, here's what this app is NOT able to do:
Chord recognition

This app has no specific chord recognition algorithm and therefore won't detect any chords! Don't play multiple notes simultaneously!
Separation of multiple instruments

The note recognition can't separate multiple instruments. If you record multiple instruments playing simultaneously you will get bad detection results!
Live note recognition

This app is not able to show you live note recognition results. Instead, it will take some time to perform the frequency analysis and show you the results.
Real sheet music

This app is not able to show you real sheet music. Instead, it works with an alternative sheet music displayed at the screenshots.
100% match percentage

This app won't detect 100% of the played notes and there will also be wrong detections. But depending on the quality of the input signal it will give you useful suggests!
The audio speed change functionality provides two music speed factors: 2x and 4x (as slow as normal). If you use this functionality, the note recognition app will zoom into the music score to make it easier for you. Mostly, it's recommended to change music speed if you want to analyze very fast songs because the sheet music gets illegible. Also, by changing the speed of your audio record you'll be able to identify very fast notes easy by ear.
Having bad note detection results sometimes? Try to open the settings and adjust the detail level at which it shall detect notes and convert music into notes.
The note detection was tested with guitar, piano and vocal but should work with every instrument as long as it plays notes above B1 (61,7 Hz) and convert music to sheet music.

Idk how to write music, so this is really good for when I sing. However id like to view the music on my pc and the edit button's app doesnt open so for the moment ill have to transcribe from my phone to my computer
It looks promising, however, you can't edit the sound clip, it doesn't convert to a true music sheet just coloured bars and picks up notes that weren't there plus not that accurate. Shows potential but a massive amount of development needed, on the plus side it was free
I love the idea of the app and think it can be useful. But the detection quality is not good and the UI is not user friendly, making it useless to me. The app feels more like a free app that try something rather than a premium app well design. It needs to improve to be useful.
Its not really useful as you cant export the notation generated after younhabe recorded something and the app has finished analysing and shown the notation on your screen. sharing the notarion with other musicians is probably the most useful aspect of such an app
I like the idea of this app and i think it can be really useful. Whatni dislike is that the editing mustnbe done on a web page. Seems I will uninstall as i feel uneasy about connecting to a web page for something that could have been done withing the app
Not completely useless but only takes/records around 1 minute 40 seconds. Can't take a normal lengthed song which normally be 3 minutes plus. Contacted the developer through email provided but no answer.
Add feature to playback the found notes with a instrument of choice, like midi players. This will make a lot easier the verification of the found notes by actually hearing, and a lot more fun.
I tested it with some piano composition. This app converted it into some random notes. Experimenting with loudness and settings didn't help. Why does anyone give more than 1 star to this?
So far because I play the guitar better than the piano its very handy for getting ideas and putting them on the piano roll without too much tinkering to get the timing down. I used to have to translate my tabs into notes.
I have yet to be able to make this app do anything useful. It has NO intelligent Help, and very inadequate menus. I press Play, and I get a message "Close."
Great accurate app. Would be great if it named the notes (the letters) in the little rectangles in the transcription.
This was honestly awful, couldn't get anywhere close to correct with simple notes on a piano. They should pay you to download this app.

Only records the key signatures it doesnt put the actual notes on the staff. Dont purchase. It doesnt work.
Timeline is not synced while playing back the clip, overall app is good.
Innovative app very helpful to know your live vocal notes as well as instrument accompanied it just takes time to analyse but that is worth wait.

It helps to analyse the sound and learn music. I like it.
Can you not have a time limit wade? Some songs might be about 4 minutes and the max is only 3. If you ca change that, that'll be nice.
No matter what setting you have it on it picks way too much background noise.
Just started using this and it's not bad so far. For novices like me though, I think it would be much better if the notes were named e.g A, B, C etc.
A good way to practice but I was expecting it to say b flat whenever you play a b flat but decent.

The sheet display does not show notion that can be recognized. Disappointed
The app stopped working after three days. I cannot record, cannot save files and cannot open the ones I've already saved. When I attempt to do it, the app crashes. Also, there is no way to cut a part of the record, and you cant have the notes on a normal note sheet to print out or work with in any way.
