Note Recognizer

The Note Recognizer is meant for people who are seriously involved in active music making. This app is not a game. The Note Recognizer analyses the pitch frequency that you sing or play, and gives the corresponding note name. Very useful for singers who need to find the right starting note of a song. Or if you want to know the key of a song; sing the tonic, and you get the note name of the key. Also great as a tuner for guitar, or checking your intonation on flute, violin or any instrument. No fancy graphics, but perfectly visible layout for dark venues and gloomy practice environments. Choose from different note naming systems such as Indian Sargam or Do Re Mi.
Recognition range: E2
- G7. Whistling above this range wil NOT be recognized.

Now with Live Notation; play your musical idea on an instrument and have it transformed to musical notation. Watch your score grow while playing. Save the notation as an image file and send it to your dropbox or share it with friends.

Notes:To be able to save the notation, you need at least Android 4.0 on your device. Older versions will give an error.Live Notation will not work for whistling, as the notes are above the normal musical range for instruments. The quality of the microphone of your device may influence the performance of the app.

Very useful for checking which note I am playing. Shows the frequency on a meter, and as eg 250Hz and the note name eg C4 (but the 4 is very small print, need my glasses to read that, so I normally use the Hz instead). Can also record what you play in sheet music form, which is good to look at afterwards. Very useful for anybody starting to learn an instrument. Several settings which are all a bit advanced for me, one day I will look them up online, in the meantime the defaults seem good!

Its amazing. I use it when I'm playing bass with my friend on guitar to translate the notes. Read a lot of negative revieuws, don't get why. For all tones on the bass, guitar and keyboard it is 9/10 accurate. There are not too many ads at all and its easy to use. Dont know what else to say. Great app!

Great, but laggy-- and because of this lag a lot of my notes aren't registering. The ones that so, however, are very much on-point. Now obviously if there's lag issues it might have to do with the phone: I'm using an Oppo F9 using Android 10. If it's any help, my phone said "This app is for an older operating system" on first boot.

Accurate App. This app is great not only for singing and finding which notes you're hitting, but then you can play the note on the piano and it matches perfectly. I have been able to sing, figure out exactly which note it is, and then play it on the piano. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It is wonderful for people who like to make music to accompany their voice, instead of the other way around.

We dont need to worry about AI taking over our world anytime soon, if we are still unable to create a decent note recognition app. I dare this app to show same notes of same song once in a row.

I just wish I could find a voice / note recognition that could register anything lower than 20hz. I'm a special kind of bass, with an everyday chest range of A1-G4 and can fry well below the human hearing cap, which I can estimate at least into the -3rd octave. On the other hand, this app works great in it's calculations of higher notes, tested by me and correctly calculates C5-Eb7 at least. I know that finding an app to register correctly below 20hz is almost asking for too much, but the creators of this app have done well so far.

🎵This app is wonderful. No fuss just straight to note🎶 recognition! Easy, precise. This app tells you what key 🔔you're producing. Great for songwriting🎼 when you don't have another way to record 🎹and reproduce the song you're 🙉hearing in your 🤯head. It's an easy and extremely 👍beneficial asset. I recommend this app. God bless ❤

Pops up with a full page ad constantly, does a decent good job at recognizing notes but theres no clear way to remove a recorded song sheet nor set settings back to default. Also wants to charge $3 to remove ads and save midis, when the app itself is MAYBE only worth $1 if things were fixed.

This app is awesome. It's ease of functionality, "Music Note Transcriber", is Clear and Concise. The developer did a great job in Algorithm creation and UI efficiency. Well done. I Mike Diaz reviewed this App., Neida was a beautiful person and? Whatever the purpose, make a difference. This App is an ex., it may help you be the next Music Composer.

It's a good idea and has potential. keep developing :) unfortunately it was just too slow to keep up even with a very slow piano piece. Tried on google pixel 3. cheers.

Hello, I'm an 8 yro boy, I found my lowest note because of this, and it is between just B and C no octaves not b1 c1 and my highest I didn't find from the app, but it is d7, the reason I only gave 4 stars is because I would like it to say b0 or c0 for no octaves. I would also like flats and sharps, and maybe neutrals at the same time, I hope you read this and atually put it in the app. Keep going with the great work.EDIT: I've also been getting this glitch were the notes won't show up KeepItGoin

It is ok, but it is really dated. Also, it is slow when detecting many notes in a series. There are faster or more accurate music note identifier apps on the play store.

No good for Bass singers, especially if you use subharmonics for very low notes around E1. Also not that accurate transposing to a stave. Keeps missing notes.

Didn't work at all for what I wanted. Trying to use it for finding specific notes on my bas guitar, and it would just fly wildly from A-D-B-E-A-C so it was totally useless and contradicting my other tuner even on open strings.

I'm far from having the perfect pitch so this app is super helpful for pitching and stuff. Plus the ads aren't even invasive;which I think is great.

Doesn't recognize notes in recorded music & video. It could pick up notes when I personally sang into it but when I played audio from a device to detect notes - there was no action rendering it useless for me.

The perfect app for a singer!! It is so accurate and easy to use and it always helps me find the note that I'm singing on my keyboard.

Works exactly how it should, I don't think I could find a problem if I tried. Very helpful for song writing. I also don't think I received a single advertisement when I had this downloaded

I downloaded this today to check my pitches for an upcoming choral performance and it has so far been stellar. As a contralto, my range extends downward to A2, which the app identifies without difficulty. Thank you so much!

It recognizing notes but while saving the file it didn't shows the notes. Technical people plz solve this problem. This app is good but notes not available on sheets.

kar. m. Jan 28, 2019

I enjoyed it but it was a little shaky. When I was holding out G#3, one of my best notes, it quickly went to G then back once in the middle of the note but overall it is such a useful app for me, since I am not using the sheet music thingy

Ing. A. Mar 2, 2020

The notes it plays back are unreconisable and it gets non of the timesignature right. 1 start seems too much. But the workings are there. Just reinstalled. Gonna give it another chance. Nope. Uninstalling again

suc. f. Aug 10, 2020

so far pretty good and it's nice to be able to figure out which note is what on a new instrument, it also helps me take electric guitar songs and turn them into acoustic songs also i need practice singing in key so definitely recommend it

rat. Apr 20, 2020

Very bad. Had to undownload it in less than a minute. It can't recognise notes. I was playing trumpet and it wouldn't recognise notes. Do not Install it is a waste of time

Sop. A. Jun 3, 2019

Has options to change how the notes are displayed in the in-app settings. I've had it for a while and it hasn't given me any problems

Isa. G. Mar 21, 2019

firstly, the note indicator is horrendous. secondly, the app is constantly crashing/ not working.
