I can't read music, thought this would help. It starts off showing you where to start then goes on to place objects on lines, seemingly expecting you to know wth that is! Isn't that reading music?? Why I needed the app in the first place. Waste of time.
A very good app. To those having problems with note recognition, here is my solution: Change your phone to "auto rotate" and flip it over so the charging port is the new "top" of your phone when the app is running. This uncovers the speaker (on the s9+ anyway) and greatly improves fidelity.
So great! I'm going to send a message requesting if you could include all the clefs. This is because in the conservatory I am at, we must be able to read soprano, baritone, Alto, mezzo and tenor clef. If you could include that, even an advanced student like myself would find even more benefit from an already useful and engaging app.
Great App! I use it a lot with my guitarstudents. I love the designs. It's fun and works very well. Unfortunatly as a guitar player i miss the deep E, F and Fsharp Note in the Trebleclef. It's only available in the Bassclef which guitarists can't read. Would be great if this would be fixed!
This is a great app! I use it for piano as well as band students. I love that I can customize levels to meet each individual student's need at the time of the lesson. A simple to use app that drills note recognition is exactly the kind of tool I need in my toolbox when teaching a lesson and this app is it.
Looks like a really nice app but we're struggling with the sound on our keyboard. We have to literally put the phone on top of the speaker for the app to pick up certain sounds. The volume is very high but that doesn't help much.
Really love using this app to help my piano students with note recognition. If you could add a pre-reading level where it just gives the letter name and doesn't show the staff that would be a spectacular addition!
Been teaching for 37 years. Absolutely the BEST thing ever for quickly increasing speed and accuracy of note recognition. I can tell immediately the students who have used it all week vs those who haven't. I tell the parents it will be the best money they spend all year!
Okay, this is an amazing game and I especially love all of the different themes. However (and this is a big however), I wish it had a way to play the game AWAY from the piano so the kids can play it anytime, anywhere. I do love the fact that it can hear your instrument, but ideally, it should do both... especially since it's a paid app. For this reason, I got a refund. 😕
Needs midi support . Far too often it recognizes correct notes as incorrect no matter what I do. Being able to hook this directly to my phone would solve this problem. If it wasn't for this problem then this would be the best note trainer ever made!
The app was great but the one thing that was bad was that I played the correct not and it would let me go on to the next note and would add on 5 seconds it is supposed to only do that when you get a note wrong not correct and also sometimes I would play the correct note and it would constantly count it wrong
This game is pretty good and I would recommend it to all people who are learning piano because it has multiple levels! Although sometimes it freezes up and adds time to my score...😜
Its a really great app but I wish there was a option for key signatures signatures maybe even accidentals like harmonic minors or even chords like c major to a random b flat sus 9, i really hope there will be some new developments soon!!!!! great app
maybe it's designed for 4 year olds but it seems to be working for this 49-year-old too. If you have the attention span and want to make each game longer it's really easy to create a custom session up to 64 notes long.
This app has really helped me in my piano playing. It was the quickest way for me to start recognizing notes on the fly and has improved my sight reading immensely!
Brilliant for students of all ages, levels, and instruments! I'm a multi-instrumentalist teacher and love finding something my whole studio can enjoy.
Really helpful app overall. Only complaint is that the note recognition could be better. Sometimes it registers the wrong note and penalizes you incorrectly.
Really helped with learning to read notes! I found my lessons went much smoother and that I was able to recognize more notes after doing the tests!
You seriously need to update this or refund my money back. I bought this app to help my daughter with her piano. I see her playing the right notes yet it's still showing up as the wrong note.
i like it. just wondering if that's a reason that the QR scan feature never works. Also, there is a summer theme on the iPhone/iPad version. Is this available on android?
Awesome game, it really helped with Piano Level one, it has many level and even a create your own level. It's awesome worth every cent.
looks great and would be wonderful but it isn't able to hear notes from our Casio keyboard, though our boy's piano teacher says the Casio sounds good and it sounds great when they play it.
Really good app. Helps with recognising notes. My problem with it is that sometimes it says I played the note wrong even when I didn't play any notes
All my students love note rush. It would be great if you made an intermediate/advanced level app for more advanced students too
Would ideally like a greater available range (higher and lower ledger lines) and the ability to focus on particular clefs - this way it could be used for a wider variety of instruments
This app has helped many of my students learn fluency of note recognition in a fun way! I recommend it to all my students.
The best. $5 is the right price. Way way way useful fore, at age 40ish, getting into piano playing.
I play clarinet, so only use treble and there were five(5) lessons. That's it. No sharps/flats. And inputting new cards is a pain on the phone. Also, I was hoping for it showing me a line of music (multiple notes) and then letting me play them all, not queuing them up each one-at-a-time for me. It does a good job of calibrating for the clarinet, which is nice, without more complicated notes it's a little too basic. Why not more cards with more complicated notes? And adding rhythm! Now you'd be talking!
