Noten Riichi Mahjong (Unreleased)

A valiant attempt but ultimately a failure. I appreciated the general aesthetic and the inclusion of tutorials and in-game help, but the gameplay has some serious issues. The scoring is buggy; a hand in the tutorial awards the player with 7680 points which is literally impossible because there are no point sticks smaller than 100. The game also sometimes fails to recognize a hand as tenpai. I have never seen such a buggy implementation of riichi before. "you tried."

Simple, fast paced, half and full games, a lot of info. Was 5 star, but after the rerelease / update in February 2020, things have gotten slow/choppy, chi/pon/kan tiles no longer highlighted, feels like the reup was for a prior version that had these issues instead of current. If you're still out there devs, any help's appreciated, still love your game.

Very clear game for solo only, sadly no multi player for it, but the real problem when until i got my Samsung note 10 the game layout is messed up because of the big screen, for example when it ask for (kan) and i want to cancel it by pressing the red X button, it doesn't confirm, and it mess the game. I hope they fix it

It is a decent way to play Japanese Mahjong (On your phone). However, on tablets, the camera is too zoomed in and you cant see your leftmost tile. Its only a real problem if you have trouble seeing on your phone (I did, but i have vision problems). Other than that, it functions as it should and is a good way to pick up how a real Riichi Mahjong game flows.

Does not fit onto Galaxy s8 screen. Items are missing on the screen. Also could use less imposing Western numbers on the corners of tiles. The x near the pon/chi/kan doesn't always work. I wanna use this so I don't have to play with the furry kemono mahjong app. But I can't until these issues are fixed

Easiest way to learn Riichi Mahjong that I've found. Very easy to pick up and play, no ads or annoying pop-ups. The birds are relaxing and everything is crisp and clean.

The game is very good for a free mahjong game. Other than the ai being *kinda dorky* I have no complaints. Tutorials with situations for people who don't know how to play. Bird sounds. The app eats batteries though.

Sometimes I have problems with the interface not working but it fixes after reinstalling. Good thing there's no game saves anyway

I have really enjoyed Noten Riichi, but with the latest update on 20200214 the chi is no longer highlighting what is included. Pls fix this!

Way too easy, I ain't even that good and struggled to lose a hand to this AI

Very addictive. Practise with this before playing real games with friends.

i feels like i been cheated

I've run into many bugs concerning the completion of hands. I just played a game where it didn't recognize that I was in tenpai. Later I drew a tile in my hand and it gave me the option to riichi, discarding the duplicate. I have run into similar bugs many times throughout playing. Once I lost an 8 dora hand because it wouldn't register it as valid. It's frustrating to get a valuable hand but lose it just because of a bug. Occasionally the game gets graphical bugs when calling melds. It happens more often with the AI players but it does happen to the human player. These issues tend to crop up if the game has not been closed in a while. The game also needs the option to pass a ron or tsumo. Often times somebody throws into a less valuable wait and the game forces me to take it. The game is fun and looks good but I don't think I'll be able to purchase the ad removal until the bugs are fixed.

Nice and simple riichi mahjong, but needs few improvements. Player shouldn't always be the 1st East and shouldn't be the 1st to discard in every hand. Now the game forced me to call ron when I didn't have a multiplier and got stuck. I had declined to call riichi for a better wait.

Main problem there's no feature to check if the title discarded is really the one you want to get rid of. If this could be fixed I'd be much happier not worrying about the game shooting me in the foot. Otherwise it's great and 5stars for the tutorial!!

I feel this is the best Mahjong app out there even with the low number of downloads, I did have an issue where the tutorial wouldn't finish and got stuck half way through. That's my only issue so far.

Got into tenpai, it wouldn't recognize it, then got tsumo and it frooze. Other than that it's a great game for starters like me. Good job. :)

Great app, just wish the beginning seat order was random. You shouldn't always start east

Great app but, maybe a little too easy? Im a genius when I play the app but an idiot when I play with humans.

Please add the option to skip the wall building. Also, why is it when you pon, it always seems like i pon-ed from the front? Fix the called tiles position too.

Would have been 5 stars but still cannot win on rinshan kaihou even though the hand has other yaku (1 suit with honours, all triples). Bit annoying to get a rare hand but the game doesn't realize!

I love it! Not only is it a great app for playing my favorite kind of mahjong, it also teaches you pretty much everything you need to know! I'm still something of a beginner so the only problem I have with this game is my lack of skill

Brilliant app but still some issues recognising certain yaku and certain waits. Tsumo after kan is still an issue, also it claims furi-ten on a 2 tile wait when you've only discarded one possible tile. Frustrating as it spoils an otherwise excellent game.
