I really found the Notepad Pro to be a lifesaver when I first started using it. However, over the past 8 months or so, when I'm typing/entering notes, the app glitches, jumps, hops over letters, or becomes so slow, that I have stopped using it to take notes, and instead am using an email format that I send to myself. I see an update was a while back. Either my notepad is too full, or the app needs an update. Thanks for creating this (usually) great app!
Excellent App, very customizable. Love the check boxes. One small bug - If you have an open file and your screen switches from portrait to landscape, the app will create a duplicate of the file. Go from portrait to landscape 10 times and you have 20 files with the same name, and the same information. Even with the bug, I use the program all the time for to do lists, grocery lists, and other things to remember.
Fantastic. Much better than Samsung notes. Notepad Pro is great and has a lot of useful features. It has one annoyance, though. If I hit return to go to the next line, and then leave the app and come back to it, there are four spaces added on the new line every time. I have to delete the four spaces to add a new note. This seems like a bug. Using a Samsung J7.
I'm very happy with this app. I needed just a good, non-cloud, quick and dirty notepad with no adds and this paid version fits the bill perfectly. It takes a few minutes to catch on to how it works, but it's not hard and again, works great. For those times you need to jot something down that does not require a full blown office kind of document, this low-overhead wonder should make you happy.
I bought the paid version and have never been unsatisfied. There are a few glitches, like when a "note" becomes lengthy, and I want to add something, but the undo button undoes the error and everything works perfectly. The save option is excellent, if a device dies, so notes aren't lost. On one device I have upwards of 100 notes, and all organizable
I absolutely love this app! I never go a day without perusing it. It helps keep my life organized, has lots of customizable options, easy to navigate, use friendly, & is my go to note pad\organizer. I started with the free version & then changed to the pro, it's inexpensive & very worth the small price. Don't be afraid to try it! ADD: 5/2020 I'm still loving this app! Easy to organize & keep multiple notes/files, no bugs, consistent performance, etc.
Yeah: I like it, but I want it to sync better and more automatically; to a cloud: not just me sending emails to myself!! I wouldn't mind paying a few extra pennies for a separate sync app such as Clipper Plus has. I want to save and sync notes between several different phones/tablets!! Laptop too if poss. Like Google Chrome does. Yeah and like another reviewer, I'VE had problems with "uploaded" (to Gmail) notes disappearing: or not appearing in Gmail!!!!!!! After using the pro app for a bit.
Its worth the pro version. It costs peanuts, and there are no ads, and its everything you need in a notepad. Protip, if you cant find something, look in the settings. That said, there definitely needs to be a better font size menu, i'd like to be able to make stuff smaller and set the font size with a number.
Love this app, I have the pro version. Something I'd like to see is the ability to select in the settings when you have a checklist, that the item checked off as completed would delete automatically. Or, that you could delete it manually. Right now you have to click at the end of the item and use backspace to overwrite it to delete it. If it is a long sentence you could select it and delete it etc. I still like the app and it is definitely worth purchasing it. It has a lot of useful features.
Everything about this app is great. It's extremely quick and functionally optimized; however, one star was omitted due to the search function lacking a seek feature. Searched strings highlight their occurrences both in the notes and in the categories, but you are unable to select through them one by one via the search bar. Despite this, it's a wonderful app.
Good, not great. Good enough that I upgraded to the pay version, but the pay version really doesn't do much more than the free version. Settings really don't allow you to do much of anything. Update: thanks to the developer for responding to my criticism, and for correcting my error. For the low price, I definitely recommend the pro version.
I've got to respond quickly to customers in web chat conversations from my phone (my chat window response area disappears instantly if they leave so I have to be fast). Most people ask the same FAQs. Notepad Pro has an always on display "copy" button that copies all the text in the note making this app the best one for my purpose. The search text feature is an absolute must have.
Notepad has many great features. The layout is clean and intuitive. The backup option is sheer genius, unique and practical. However, I have a question. In the Notepad Pro sample screenshot on 'Play Store' titled 'Guava Nutrition Facts', how were the underlined words achieved? Also, in a future update, would it be possible to show the date and time each note was last edited.
Simple & What You Need: If you need to quickly type something into your phone, this is what you need. Quick notes and short lists. This isn't meant to do anything fancy, and that's the point. You can copy, paste, send, or upload/backup your notes. The Pro version is a great value because you will use it for multiple things per day.
This is a very good app. I use it constantly for everything from Grocery Shopping, to quick reminders. The one feature I wish it had is the ability to import notes from a txt file or other format directly, I found a way to open txt files but, it is a round about way that takes a bit of work.
I hate to say it, but the UI is way past bad, and borders on plain old stubborn foolishness. Why have an unlimited capacity for Notes and no way to properly sort them, categorize them, search them, password protect them, export them... and more??? Not only that, the checklist feature is basically useless. And who thought up the incredibly annoying Notes List!? It is constantly activated accidentally. It should be a burger menu in the top left... anything but this!
Good for a grocery list but not much else due to stupendously bad interface. Once you get to a few dozen notes, sorting is almost impossible as you have to manually drag each note. Searching only highlights the notes and does not list them so you still have to manually scroll through the note list. The Note list is clumsy and keeps popping up by accidental taps. You have to use a different app to have security? Seriously?? This is a Pro app! Very, very bad interface. PLONK!
I first downloaded the free version of this app but was quickly impressed so purchased the paid version. An excellent notepad app if you write a lot of notes, useful for editing comments before posting online, making shopping lists, and so on.
Liked it straight away and bought it about ten seconds after that. I write books for Amazon Kindle and my best ideas always seem to occur when I'm stuck at work. I needed something simple to use, yet reliable and rangey enough to do anything with no dramas. This works and it's excellent.
I paid for the Pro version to remove ads and gain the extra features, and it was very much worth the small amount they asked. It's easy to use, and search through. Pros: can remind you to do a backup, ability to encrypt a note, option for unlimited notes (and apparently no length limit), and the many options offered in the settings to personalize the layout. Cons: nothing serious -- the ability to format individual notes would be nice as would be more choices in the "start" layout. Thx.
I needed a functional, easy to use app, that would motivate me to stop using paper & to use my phone for creating notes, etc. In Notepad Pro I especially like its well thought out features, e.g., I can: send a note by email, back-up my files/work, lock my files, and use the search function to find any term or word contained in any note. The BEST PART, the app currently costs $1.49, less than a cup of coffee in my town (San Francisco).
I'm old school, prefer to keep notes and collected information local. Not in the cloud. Really appreciate being able to Bluetooth my notes to my laptop, open the note and not having to reformat the note. Simple, easy to use without bloated features.
Simple, excellent. Bought the pro version. I tried and used many notepad apps til landing on this one. Beside working well, app has responsive Dev. The only odd thing is when opening a note that's been downloaded, there's no option to open that note with this app.
Used the free version for a long time and really liked it. Didn't really need the features in the Pro version, but I bought it anyway to show my support. I've tried lots of other notepad replacements but always kept coming back to this one. Thanks for this app.
It's a really great app, well developed. I don't have enough room here to express the billions of things that this app can help you with. I am 60+ and use for many things everyday, groceries, reminders, notes for doctors. I even have one that's titled EMERGENCY and is locked for emergency EMT or police officer to be able to assist me. Thanks for sharing this great app.
Good enough that I got the pro version. Useful for all sorts of lists, note taking, quick reminders, or writing an email rough copy. Now I use it for most tasks that don't need a text editor.
Notepad Pro is an outstanding utility, user friendly, easy-to-use & simple to set up. Brilliant design - created shopping checklist with usual items so I can just tap to mark item when running low. Put it in cart and uncheck as I go, all set for next trip. Simply key in short desc. on first line as Index name. For Dr. appts used voice-to-text to record med dosages & treatment info. Dr. loved it because I had all details in my hand for reference. Feature rich, tune options to customize.
