I am legally blind and need a text editor that can be used with voice dictation. I installed Notepad Text Editor and added Gboard as my default keyboard. The two apps work perfectly together. I can easily write notes, correspondence, and documents by voice.
Despite the name, this app only allows viewing and not editing. Also the only way to open a file is to go through Files and tap the file name. The file open menu doesn't work and you can't get to external storage. Uninstalling.
This is a full featured text editor that works. So many so called editors only work on existing files. This handy app has it all; File new, open, save etc. I like it even better on my tablet because it has a predictive spell check. Very nice 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Excellent text editor. Would be extra-perfect if notes could be saved to PDF, but it's top notch as it is. Kudos.
scroll still lagging...(never was able to reach end of file) But! Now Not BROKEN! What can I say? It is just a notepad - but a very good, beautifully designed one. Has Unicode support so you can type in your native language. If you are looking for a no frills app to jot down something quickly, this app will help. Just what I was looking for. 👍💯

When I open file i want to see the first line of the file text, not the name. It's too much of a bother to name each text files.
Almost works. Except I can't actually edit the txt file I tapped on to open in it. A great note viewer.
I was looking for a simple app with a nonproportional font, which this provides. It really helps when I want to make notes for my programming ideas. Thanks.
Simple and useful, some minor bugs on the new Android OS but it still works fine.
Simple, It does what i expect to do
Works fine, tried a bunch of editors and this one has no adds, does exactly what I need.
I am not going to use it because when I import text, it converts apostrophes to question marks.

This is the best simple text editor that I've tried on Android. It keeps my place in an open file, correctly wraps the text, allows me to supply my own font, and generally allows me to focus on what I am writing rather that on the app, each of which has been a problem with other text editors.
