It has some bugs like there is a issue at times with Auto Save sometimes your note does not save. And the user interface is buggy editing and dragging and placing your cursor is buggy. One thing I hate is the App wont work in the background when you have more then one window/app open and your switching windows/apps. This on dose not sit in the background it closes. Thats anoying.

When attempting to access my BB Notes, it says: "Free trial expired". It then states that you can continue to use, without subscription, but will have to contend with ad's. I am okey with that. But it won't let me select that option!!! As soon as I click on "maybe later" ,(the only option available, other than "subscribe"), it just winks out!

RE; since the update, my messages no longer appear in the Hub ******ATTN Blackberry Limited - thank you for your quick response. In regard to that, Yes. I just tried that and it worked. Unfortunately I like to have all of my notifications turned off as i hate the popup on the screen when im doing something else. is there any way to turn off the popup notification on the screen and only have an audible notification. this is extremely frustrating. thank you.

Why is the delete button right next to the save button? I accidentally deleted a note, and now there's no way to get it back. What an idiotic design! I just lost a bunch of content for an important article I'm writing for my job. Apart from that problem, this is a nice app. You can change font colors/styles and make bulleted lists, but what's the point if the well-organized note gets accidentally deleted?

2nd response: No issues with message composition in the Hub. Response to question from BB: Only seems to be happening in Notes app. Major issue with keyboard/typing. Getting tonnes of random words, letters and symbols that were not intended nor entered - particularly when trying to make a correction to existing text. Please fix this ASAP! I'm using a BB Motion and the note is synced to a Live Mail (Microsoft) account.

Why did all my notes disappear after the update? I've lost everything that I kept in this program and am so mad right now. There's no ability to sync, there's no widget to add a note quickly, and You can't recover a deleted note. This program is absolute trash and can't believe it's part of the blackberry suite. So disappointed Edit (Sep 26): *Reply to BB* I had over 10 notes which I refer time to time; these were local notes on my personal profile on the BB KeyOne. I have no idea what was updated as you had come out with an update and I upgraded to the latest version and the notes all disappeared.

Not happy with this app, it was a better app on earlier Blackberries designed by Blackberry web designers. There is no pull down menu, I have lost count of how many times I want to save alterations to a note because you have to press on the upper right corner of the screen on the Keyone to save the note and it doesnt happen unless you have to almost push your finger through the screen. Its a real shame Blackberry stopped making cell phones. FIX IT!!!!!!!! AUgust 11/21 Still not FíXED YET!!!!

The app works and has more features however the search function is wasting my time. I have used Blackberry OS for 10yrs + and I wish you would go back to OS 10 Note app configuration. The Note App in OS:10 was easier to use and the search function worked much better. Why would you want to search for the random words in the TEXT of the Note? Is there a option to change this to search the Title only? Blackberry OS 7 was the best and simplest in my opinion. Android is too complex, not efficient.

I downloaded Content transfer app, and did the same steps as you asked, but failed because it says data is available for date 19/11/2017 which means when I changed my phone in November last year, it shows that data and not recent one. So, it's not working for me. Let me know how to proceed now. Mr. Developer, if I am doing previous device selection then it will take backup of those contents which is currently available on my device and later when I will download it then it will download today's backup data. However, I did the same thing you told but in vain. I didn't get my Notes. Do you really think so how to recover or just doing experiments. On more thing, I would like to know about my device BlackBerry Dtek 50, performance is not good, how can I improve the performance as it hangs many times while working .

terrible. new version makes me unable to view much of what is in note. previously font was smaller and could see entire title of note. not anymore now can only see a few letters which makes it impossible to figure out what note you want except to open it. i tried to change font size or view but this is not an option. also the help button supposedly describing new features has nothing under it except the version number of the update. no improvements at all. Just displays notes differently, worse.

I dont know how it connected my private, local notes with online accounts, but I found that it had. I chamged it quickly. I hope none of my personal data stored there got into the hands of others. I'm used to the security of previous BlackBerry phones & assumed this product wouldnt compromise my data. A bit disappointed in that. I specifically try to choose all the safest actions when I add accounts to the hub, with nothing but mail to be synchronized. Perhaps something got overlooked.

I use Notes all the time, and I'd love to give it 5 stars, but the Blackberry Content Transfer app is the only method recommended to back-up my files (which number over 200) -- now the back-up app is nowhere to be found and I have no convenient way to preserve important data. Saving 200+ files manually by sharing them to Google Drive is not a reasonable option, so what's a person to do?

I had a problem with changing and then saving notes; being used to the supersimple notes app from Samsung that i had on my old phone... the transition to the so much more complicated but with so much more tools Blackberry system is diff...but at last after trying out different apps, and unfortunately not being able to find te old Samsung notes app overhere or anywhere, i came back to the Blackberry Hub notebook, and found a little icon on the bottom right, that enabled me to save changes...

auto-updated over wifi. User reloaded older version. All data lost. Note, user never instructed app to auto-update. Part 2/reply- Play store - understood prior and while a google, not user, mistake on that front, integrating data files into the program file makes no sense. Meaning, one does not have their doc or pdf files vanish when they delete or update Word or Acrobat. Aside, Android is a bit of a joke all the way around. BB for raw communication was/is superior to Android.

To outdated there is no way to add a attachement to your note. Its like old school typewritter. Only good thing is it syncs for exchange.

Have been with BlackBerry for a long time. The apps use to be good and dependable, not anymore! All my very important notes are gone, nothing was backed up to my Outlook account. This is the second time this has happened! I won't be using this app anymore. Hope I can find a better notes app.

This app is garbage. Like other users, I had several notes saved and during an update everything is deleted. I love BlackBerry's standard answer of "Hi, thanks a lot for sharing this issue with us. We'll do our best to address this issue in later updates." Tell you what, STOP UPDATING APPS THAT WORK. I have been an avid BlackBerry supporter for years but the company has continued to spiral down so that my Priv will be the last device that I buy from BlackBerry. BBM was great too, until they added tons of ads to it. As a BlackBerry owner, why isn't it add free for us, nope we are supposed to pay $0.99 a month for that. Not me. Good bye BlackBerry, you are a constant source of disappointment!!!!

This app has several advantages. However, the real problem is backing up your info. The way to backup the info is backing up the whole info in your phone through the "content transfer" app. So, it is a problem to recover only your notes when needed.

On BB KEYOne: No easy way to copy data-file for backup (and backup in general is lacking). Lack of folders compared to BB10 is really poor. Note-search is exceptionally poor, examples: For a note string of "£600.00" it doesn't match a search of "600", Other cases, for a string with leading whitespace, it doesn't match a search-string without the whitespace etc.. Just terrible in general, and not a patch on the BBOS10 version - planning to switch my notes app soon due to these issues/limitations.

Seeing all the one-stars how can this possibly be over a 3-star rating? I've used ONLY BlackBerry phones since 2008 and have always used the notes app and carried my notes (all kinds of things I would need to reference periodically) from one device to the next. The Notes app that came with the Keyone was a downgrade from Q10, but still useful. Then early March 2019 there was an update, and there must have been a recent update again (late March) because when I went to open it today ALL my notes are GONE forever. This is unacceptable and I will uninstall it now, until I hear some good news about it.

After the latest blackberry hub services update, all my notes got erased :(

I am very upset! Added a new line to one of my notes. Used button on phone that shows a list of open apps. Popup stated "note saved". Went back to my note. All content was gone. Completely gone. Only the note's title remained. I am so disappointed! I need those notes back!

Disappointing - save doesn't always mean save grrrrr. It is very annoying to create a note then save it only to have to recreate the note because it doesn't save it the first time. Also happens when editing existing notes. This happened after an update. Previous version was fine. Has me looking for another note app.

It's great to see developers out there that still respect the users privacy. I have no issues paying for my privacy! A few issues: Google Play that issues questionable versions of the app and the backup system that compromises the privacy aspect. Update...Google play does not immediately show the true version info of the update offered. This app also "needs" webview for some reason.

Lost my changes to my notes many times over the years as sometimes it would not save automatoxally. This time I lost one page of notes completely. The other pages are still there but this pave was important. I dont have a backup.

This app is really annoying. 50 percent of the time when i add or edit a note and save it. My edits dont save. I can write a note and then it is immediately deleted by the app. Have to completely re start. Its to the point that if i write something long, i will copy it before i save just because i know theres a good chance it will be deleted and then because iv copied it i can just paste it back on a new note and hope that one saves.

Used to be my favourite tool for quick notes and shopping list etc. Has started to misbehave recently, even over 3 updates, seems not to be curated and supported much. Bullets that are to be ticked all of a sudden have to be removed and set and ticked afresh and if one is removed also others are, randomly. Nuisance.

Overall, an average app. Desperately needs the following: 1) A recently deleted section; 2) the ability to search WITHIN the body of the note; 3) the ability to choose where I save the note (on device, on mem card, etc.); and 4) more back-up options.
