Simple, lightweight, elegant, open-source (no funny data collection, I checked), and ad-free. I've used a number of tuning apps and this one takes the cake. The active frequency readout lets you tune much more precisely than other apps that try to be cute about it (I'm looking at you Pano Tuner), and the design is instrument-independent – No-hard locking to expected frequencies means you can tune any instrument with it. Protip: Touch the body of the phone to the body of your instrument for a better frequency reading if you are in a place with a lot of background noise.
It's a tuner. Pure octaves (halftone is exactly the 12th root of 2), and as with most tuners this is sadly the only option. You can adjust your A4 to whatever frequency though, which is neat. The only ad in this app is a mention of the author's other apparently unrelated and nonfree app at the bottom of the settings menu. Weird, but it isn't intrusive and you don't have to look at it, so whatever.
Awesome. No other word for it. I have some basic coding knowledge, including Linux, so I am aware just how tricky it is to create an app like this, that works in real-time with the microphone. Plus, as there are hundreds of different Android devices out there, that just adds to the complexity. Using this on my Moto G7 Play, it works perfectly w/tuning my Clarinet. THANK YOU for not placing ads in this, even though that costed you money undoubtedly. But as a consumer I attest that it's sweet. 👍
What a pleasant experience ! Downloaded this after purchasing a "SNARKIE" - the little plastic tuner that snaps onto the head of guitars, mandolins , violins, etc. The instructions were clear, maybe, to a "P-H.-Dee in music theory. I got lost making judgement calls in setting the thing up I was unqualified for . There seemed no path to return to standard tuning for my brand new fiddle. The Noteworthy Tuner solved my dilemma as a novice. It opens quickly , is consistent in all phone mfg.'s.
The best designed and easiest to use tuning app ever! I absolutely love it! If, like me, you find yourself thumbing through the never-ending list of tuners trying to find one that will work perfectly for you, stop and give this one a try. A brilliant app! I will even risk recommending it.
I got a clip on accurate violin tuner, and the notes are high on the noteworthy tuner compared to the clip on tuner. I researched because of frequency interference, so now I know how to tune my violin both ways. UPDATE 09 NOV 2021 Just now, I looked and forgot to tune the clip on tuner to the herz I like. I opened back up noteworty tuner, and both tuned all notes nearly accurate. So, I guess there is less interference where I am. Thank you for the beautiful app... Revelation 21
It tells me the frequency of the note I'm tuning and nothing else. Almost perfect! It might be nice if the last average frequency could linger on the screen a bit longer.
The ONLY tuner app I would ever want! I love it! I have the free one, no ads. Sinple needle type display like a Korg tuner. (I dislike digital style displays.) One step beyond Korg, it shows the note's frequency (concert pitch) in Hz. Developer: I would pay extra if you would add a display how many "cents" (percentage) the note is sharp or flat. You might also offer a premium transposing version for those who want pitch in the key of the instrument they play, e.g. Bb trumpet or clarinet.
Very easy to use, good in low and middle ranges, but becomes very off pitch in the high octaves. This is a real shame as it is lovely and simple to use. It would be my tuner of choice if that could be put right.
This is very simple tuner. There is only a needle inside to tune the instuments. Any way this is a very cute app with less than 1 mb. I'm very pleased with it .Pro version of the app is also available.
Noteworthy is the best . if you ever want to figure out what the ACTUAL CHORDS are from a song on the radio put this app on by the speaker and what chords you see ...MATCH THEM AND U GOT .BEST TUNER FOR WHAT EVER NEEDS A TUNE TOO. Also if your singing and you cant find what key or not you sound in this verible can range what pitch your singing i and if you need to change it it will let u know where u are at and if you can pitch your voice to the note u want to be in .
This is a lovely app! so clean, simple and easy on the eye, and a delight to use. Many thanks to the author. (It's absolutely free as in both beer and speech, a gift to us all. I went to the site for Battery Indicator Pro, also made by Darshan Computing, and contributed there although I don't need that app, because unfortunately there seems to be no way to donate from here)
Best tuner I've ever found! No annoying ads or unnecessary functions. Recognizable font for notes letters. Intuitive UI. Extremely lightweight. Fully offline. Accurate. Ideal. Just ideal tuner.
Simple, open source, light weight, only thing I would put differently us add a toggle solfege Anglo-Saxon note :) thanks a lot for the app!! *edit: just learn about the di/ra while reading you! For me do do#/reβ re is what I had in mind, but both would be cool :). I wasn't expecting an answer on such a popular app! Thanks for the amazing work!!
I love it! It's simple, straight forward, light weight, accurate, ad free and not crowded with bloated functions.
This is the app to get I'm very satisfied the app is easy to use meets all my needs in tuning my guitar and the intonation what more can I say I've been threw the list and found this one to be accurate and easy to use I highly recommend the developer is offering an app that would cost you money and also if you have an issue notify the developer there more then willing to help the developer deserve this curticy I am 100% satisfied with this app and I thank the developer and play store .
Best tuner on play store. Can you please update the UI. Make it full screen and get rid of the title bar.
Simple, light, just works. UI could be better but function-wise, it's perfect 10.
worked great right off the batt. it's fun to sing and see the tune you're singing! highly recommend for anyone especially a vain choir singer like myself! x)
My favourite tuner! Simple, uncluttered and responsive. Better than most of the paid apps I've tried.
Love it. Does not contain unneccesary features. It is a simple tuner itself.
Great app. Easy to use and very accurate .I tuned my autoharp with no problems.
This is a bit too minimal for me, coming from PitchLab (RIP), but I respect the minimal asthetic. I also think that a true black mode would be awesome.
I like your app, it's very easy to use and it's a basic tuner. Thanks,Tony Congema Long Island,New York
Have been using this app to do intonation on my builds and it's as good as any strobe tuner ,easy to use and very accurate.
Excel, precise. Simple. A little filtering may help.
Its amazing since I'm still a kid it's easy for me to just go on the app and tune my viola. It also makes me feel professional
It's simple to use, but it does work! It's perfect for a quick tune before playing.
Creating a good tuner app is challenging. The trickiest part is getting it to average out the waveforms of various instruments so the indicator moves smoothly, and stays in one place long enough, for a human to use it. If it updates too frequently, it's just frustrating, because you can't adjust your tuning to keep up with it. In this respect, I found this app better than some, but not as good as others. It may work better for you, depending on how you use it—so it's worth a try.
