Exactly what I wanted. There were a few things that I keep on all the time, like battery saver, that would give me a notification. I found this incredibly annoying, and all the apps I downloaded wanted to do something extra, like putting all your notifications into one bar. This app was a perfect, simple solution. No fuss, just blocked the notifications of the apps I asked for.
Iʼm not sure how I lived without it. Nearly effortless to create rules, and the history feature is the business. It often alerts me to create a new rule for Google even though I didnʼt receive a notification. Not a big deal, but annoying. My Allow and Block lists got lengthy quickly because I am selective about Google, Google News, and Twitter. Rules that contained multiple entries for each app would declutter/shorten the rule lists, but it wouldnʼt add to the functionality. Highly recommended.
It's okay in concept. It did not get rid if my comcast wifi notification, that comes in any time I get near a comcast router....even though I don't even have comcast. The free version is very limited in how many notifications you can block. I ended up with more notifications than I had before because you get one from this app any time you get a notification from something new. Because I couldn't block any more, I kept hitting allow, allow, allow, hoping to get through my list of apps but it seemed unending, especially when my phone operating system upgraded and I had to start over. All I ended up with was double the notifications.
Great app and very configurable, allowing you to customize rules such that you can block or allow, and log to a history file. Say you want family texts to go through, but notifications from your news app could be blocked but go to the history for later scanning. By using this, I've really quieted my phone without having to start quiet mode or flip-to-shhh. The developer has been receptive to some feature ideas that did make it in. Highly recommended to quiet your phone and to funnel what you want but don't need to know immediately.
Solid app. There's room for some minor usability improvements, but nothing to cost a star. For example, you have to receive a notification before you can tell it how to handle it. After that first little while, I almost never get a notification I don't want, regardless of what app is sending it.
This app is good, nice work to the devs! I had a medical application that I could not get to stop sending me consistent notifications that I did not care about without me putting my phone in "do not disturb" (the issue was I needed some of them, just not all), this was the 3rd app I tried for assistance and it just works. I purchased/upgraded to the pro version in support, but the lite version works perfectly.
Amazing! Was able to get rid of the Airplane Mode persistent notification on the lockscreen of my Android 5.0 phone! It automatically detected it and recommended me to hide it, but I didn't see an option to select it from the list. I have to minus 1 star because it didn't let me disable the Power Saving Mode notification bar.. and I couldn't select it from the selection.. I hope this gets included in the next update.
I found out that the History Notification Search is only available after clicking on the app in the Main History screen. It's searching within the app history. That's fine, but the History Search feature should also be available in the Main History screen, searching for the app itself. It's needed more, because it's sorted by date. Looking for a particular app can get tedious. Either that or have sort options the user can set.
Love that it can filter by notification text. But what does block delay do? Can't find any info on this feature. A possible bug is sometimes a bunch of notifications have the same timestamp shown. I think happens after notifications in OS reach maximum for an app. Also would be great if it can export the history as csv or excell file like other similar apps. Finally can you make the history page text smaller? I get hundreds of notifications from one app and reviewing them would be faster.
Was getting around 75 notifications A DAY from a Samsung app called Samsung Experience Service on my Galaxy S8+. You literally can not log into their service and give the app what it wants to stop notifying you, and the OS doesnt include a way to disable it. This app handily stopped the notifications cold and prevented a number of others, built in and otherwise, from being displayed. 5/5 on the functionality meter.
Same problem like all other apps. Upon opening blocked notifications, it takes only to homepage of that app rather than opening that particular page , as the normal Android notifications would do
Wow! This app actually works! I'm testing the 7 day free trial pro version and I am excited! That stupid and extremely annoying Google Play Services error message popped up every 5 to 10 seconds or whenever I used my phone to make a call and now it's gone! How dare those behind Google and Google Play Services ask for so many permissions from Android users and what they ask for does not affect my phone's functionality, so the answer is hell no! (EDIT: Just purchased Lifetime License for PRO!)😉👍
Why do I keep getting a "notic notification service running" every hour? I paid for an app that rids me of unnecessary notifications, and that very same app pops up an unnecessary notification multiple times a day to tell me it's running. I tried to block it (using notic), but that doesn't work. Get rid of this please.
Great app... only thing I would suggest would be to have a white list of acceptable terms / app and everything else get blocked. It would be a shorter list in most cases, and we keep me from having to add exception rules when they are Limitless ways and app can contact you
Though it does what it says and has a clean interface, is not showing Facebook notifications. Also, it opens up wrong page to news apps. Developer needs to address these issues. 😔
Works as advertised. I use it to remove a non-dismissable system notification that Samsung pops up whenever "do not disturb" is enabled. Revised from 5 to 4 stars because it popped up a notification ad for the pro version.
Love this app. Doesn't give you more notifications when all you want is an app to block notifications. This app collects your notifications and gives you the option to block or allow. As a notification appears, I block it and never look at it again. Thank you for this wonderful app.
Makes notifications usable again. I had 5 permanent notifications and a ton of useless ones, so I missed the useful ones. No more! This should be part of Android.
Absolutely 5 Stars!🌟 Easy to use, flexible but most importantly works exceedingly well at allowing a granular level of blocking or allowing notifications. These developers filled a big gap in Android functionality. Many kudos!
Best notification blocker The best App Period The developer is absolutely amazing He is consistent and is ALWAYS here to help me On 2 separate occasions, he wrote several Beta apps until he nailed it. It took days. He remained calm and respectful to me Mega notifications can be stressful, but Notic cleverly blocks with rules I didnt get it at first but he held my hand until I understood everything I now can have Google allow only specifics and block the rest. SO COOL My top 3 most critical apps
Good app. It would be nice if there was a notification bar that showed blocked ones and could click it to see them.
It works! Altough there is one minor bug - when you dont set "header" value and only use "message", then no any notification is shown. So "header" must contain something.
Excellent app indeed, highly recommended. Exactly does what it meant to. Developer is also very reponsive with solvimg issues. Worth to purchase full version.
I have paid for this app but it should have widget to quick read blocked notifications then it will serve its purpose, because now we need to open app again and again to view blocked notifications. There should be option for ongoing music notifications even if app is blocked from notification because so many music apps gives annoying notifications in notification bar so there should option for ongoing notification for same app vs normal notification
It's a good app , but why have pop-up dialogues for every app instead of a single master switch and the apps arranged in a list ?
Description did not state this is a limited version. Also, was unable to block any notifications from system apps, including the Phone app. Finally, it tried to access the internet without my consent.
Perfect! This app is great, I really like that you can block notifications that normally you wouldn't be able to. But with this app, any notification can be blocked.
It's great if you want to keep your notifications private and check them later in the app. I'd give it 5 stars but when I block WhatsApp notifications it's impossible to exclude incoming calls to be shown. That's quite iritating as I miss all the calls now - you can hear the ring, but you have no idea what app it's coming from.
