Notifier, notifications reader
This application is totally free and costless. It is highly configurable, you can choose the apps from which you want to receive vocal notifications, to set the "sleep mode" (which disables vocal notifications during the night hours), to set the "private mode" (it vocalizes only the message sender name and not the message itself), to receive calling notifications (it vocalizes the name of the person that is calling), to receive vocal warnings when battery is low (under 20%), and many other options. If we are listening tio the music, it will lower the music volume for the time needed to vocalize the notification.
IMPORTANT: Free Notifier makes use of notification functionalities present in Android O.S. starting from release 4.4, for that reason it does NOT work on Android devices supporting previous Android versions.

This app is brilliant, my issues were down to me setting it up wrong. This is perfect, every setting you'll ever want. Also I appreciate the developer actively looking to fix problems and help their clients. If you have issues look at the documentation provided (YouTube). The dev has done a great job at going over each and every setting. Plus, don't be afraid to trial and error it to get it right! One suggestion is; be able to change the password you can set to access notifications.
The app changes settings by itself. first I can't hear any of the notifications being read to me, even when I change the volume. now I'm losing my hearing using this app. and I can't find a freaking solution. so whatever. it's too bad, cuz on paper, it's better than the other notification reader I was using before. but whatever. this app is not worth losing my hearing over.
Grazie mille for this extraordinary piece of programming ! This has to be one of the most comprehensive and well thought out apps available ANYWHERE. The wealth of options is almost overwhelming ! I use it solely in the car and have it set up so that it starts automatically on connection of the phone to the vehicle's Bluetooth. It took a little trial and error but is well worth persevering and the creator has produced many helpful videos and notes to assist. And all this with no ads ...!!!
This is an incredible and interesting app that's full of potential. You can tell that the people who created this app put a lot of work into. Sure, it has bugs, but it is great nonetheless. Two recommendations: 1. Change the alarm right away (especially if wearing headphones). It's too loud. 2. Change the voice and language to Female Philippino. It's great when it tries to pronounce Engrish words.
App works well as a reader. I have the voice reply feature enabled so that I can give a quick verbal text response to text messages. This is the only problematic area of the app. When it works its great, but it often doesn't get your verbal response even if you try random delays in responding after the beep. The developer does point out the problem in his video, blaming Android for the issue. Somehow Google makes it work for their voice - to-text features, so I'm hopeful that it can be fixed.
Exceptional. What a relief to find an app that can replicate the experience of Windows phone for hands free reading and replying to incoming texts on Android. In fact it enhances the experience by including WhatsApp messages. Totally miserable experience on Android until finding this app! Well worth the effort to work through the config options in expert mode (no I'm not an Android expert by any means yet, though I must admit to a background in IT)
Best app of it's kind! I rely heavily on having certain notifications read to me through my Bluetooth earpiece. I have probably tried a dozen or so apps that claim to do what I want and most either don't work or have limited ability to configure. FNR works all the time and is highly configurable. I highly recommend it.
I don't write reviews often, but this software deserves a good one! I spent ages trying to find an app that would reliably communicate notifications via a Bluetooth headset and also work well with notifications via my car handsfree. This one worked straight away but also has great configurability for difficult setups.
Mario you are a genius. Installed and used same day - very intuitive. Great solution for my BlackBerry KeyOne (android). Other apps only read Gmail (not work email) and/or text messages and some don't work over Bluetooth radio in the car. This one is very well thought out and robust. Will play with it a bit but I love it. Kudos Mario and thanks.
A little tricky to get set up on my Coolpad phone, but now I can have Facebook, texts and emails read to me and respond to them entirely hands free. No ads. Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing all the bugs worked out in the future. Took a while to figure out all the settings.
Shouter quit working on my Samsung S9. I couldn't find another app that would do what I needed. I'm not an overly talented Android person. On screen instructions and other instructions were easy to follow. No problem with additional setup after switching to advanced mode for additional functions. Does everything Shouter did and more. Note: I'm sure Verizon was the cause of Shouter failure. Similar problem with what had been my favorite text app. Verizon quit accepting that app's format.
Fantastic application! I'm glad I finally got an app doing exactly what I wanted, after testing and making use of several others. But I wouldn't know if the developers could work around the options of pressing the volume down to mute or stop the app from reading a notification.
The depth to this notification reader is second to none. Just figured out how to reply with a message and not just 'answer'. Did only install today so give me chance ! with my last reader, some read notifications disappeared after unlocking phone which is why I'm looking for new. Now can reply to messenger messages without getting phone out of pocket ! That is just awesome lol :) Thank you so much.
5 Stars! Great job. Read the provided information. This is for Android users who love to customize their experience. I have been using this app for several years and I have never had any problems. There is a possible learning curve but it is not hard to get the hang of it if you put a little time into it. I enjoy being able to verbally hear when my IP address changes. Finally, a solid and lightweight but comprehensively configurable reader for my SMS messages. It also is capable of reading out many other apps and functions. Includes a beginner and advanced interface for configuration. And it works on Android 10.0!!!!!!
This is the greatest app to receive notification and the expert mode is so easy (for me) to use that you could customize almost everything!!!! I'm a Oneplus user and with the lastest Android System.. Thank you so much Mario, you and your whole team are the best!! By the way no ads!!!!
Exactly what I was looking for. I'm a Truck driver and can't read text messages while driving. This announces the sender and reads the message through my Bluetooth headset. Excellent, well written app.
Excellent app. Very useful and I always look forward to getting updates. Works perfectly so long as you spend the time to not only set up the interface properly but to also understand it. HIGHLY RECCOMEND. VERY USEFUL
Really useful. I wanted to hear pushbullet notifications. I had it working in a few minutes. Previously I had spent hours on other apps and was never successful. Thank you very much for all the hard work that you have done
Not the best as the developer claimed. Look for Readittome app and learn from them. It is also free with the option for voice reply, which is great in paid version. Also love their txt speak translation. Clearly your app is self-serving and not the end-users in mind. Making more setting options doesn't make it good especially if most of them are not useful. Simplicity, user-friendly and functionality are what matters most. Could've give your app 3 stars but you claimed it is the best which clearly it is not. Nice effort though. Of course you wouldn't accept criticism as I read on your other replies just because your app is free. Nice effort though.
Does not read incoming text messages out loud when they come into your inbox. it states that it has the capability to read the text messages once they've been received. After doing research, playing around with the app, it just unfortunately doesn't do so.
Like this app to give me notifications as sometimes have no time to read them. I use it mostly with my bluetooth so I can be anywhere and hearing my messages. I was able to customize the reading to stop when I get a call. Thank you for this app.
Hard to believe how much work and attention to detail went into an app that's offered for free/w no ads! It's definitely those who appreciate tayloring it for their needs so lots of customization is available in "Expert" mode. Thanks team!

Allow me just to reiterate my appreciation for this excellent app and it is exactly what I was looking for. What a beautifully crafted app. Well done and many thanks Mario. I've used several of these talking apps and this is the best. One small request - being colour-blind I can't distinguish the on and off colours of the widget. Could you change these? or even have the widget change appearance from say a lit bulb to an unlit bulb?
The very best notification reader I have ever used (and I have tried quite a few over the years). Extremely configurable.. I haven't been able to get it to read notifications for the CNN news app yet, and I've tried every setting I can think of. Nevertheless, it's still a five-star app IMO. I would gladly purchase this app if that was the only way to get it.
