Notifyer Unread Count

Now you can receive all your app notifications right on the app icons themselves, just like the iPhone. Perfect for apps like Facebook, Whatsapp, Viber and any other apps receiving important notifications. New messages, missed calls, friendship requests and more are all displayed.
Notifyer works by using 1x1 homescreen widgets to replace regular app icons. Using widgets means they can update in real time showing your latest notifications. So after installing Notifyer, add Notifyer widgets to your homescreen and choose the apps that you want to have notification badges.

To move Notifyer widgets to the dock at the bottom of the screen you must be using a launcher which allows widgets to be placed in the dock (e.g. Nova Launcher)

I tried this on a moto e20 (Android Go 11). Sadly it can't add a notification count to What's App or other apps to indicate new and unread messages. This is not this developers fault but a glaringly stupid ommision of notification functionality in Android Go on behalf of google! The notification dots are how many people see if there are new messages, missed calls etc. A car with no wheels.

UPDATE: It seems to work on my Pixel 6 Pro with Android 12 using Nova. However, it takes a lot of work for each icon. More important is that it only works when the email is first received. Once you open the app the count is gone, whether or not you actually opened anything.

It sort of does what it's supposed to. It will display the number of pending messages on whatever app you are using it for (email, messages, etc...) which is great. But if you have multiple emails, open one and leave the others as unread it will clear ALL dot notifications. To be clear, it doesn't mark the emails as read in the app, but it removes the red dot with the numbers completely, even if there are remaining unread emails or messages. This app is about a 50% solution.

It worked very well for all the apps I needed, until a few months ago when gmail stopped working properly. It shows when a new email arrives, but the unread count badge disappears when I open the app or swipe the email. And this is the same as using the normal gmail app. It works for whatsapp and facebook. I tried with Nine app, and the same happens as with the gmail. I missed a lot of emails because of this issue. What can be done?

I have used this app since my last phone update remove the app badge ability. For about 4 months this app worked. But for the last month, it has completely stopped working. If it even identifies an unread email or missed call, the number presented is completely wrong and does not change. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, restarted my phone several times and have checked for updates on both my phone and the app but nothing does it.

In the app description, it states that the badge counter will behave the same as IOS. So I expected the unread count remains even after I swipe away the notifications, unless I actually read the emails/messages. It appears that this feature was supported before, as "native counting" is still in the setup guide. However, in reality "native counting" option is not available anymore, and the badge counter behaves just like these in other free android launchers; which makes this app worth nothing!

This is the only unread mail badge counter that actually seems to work,I almost gave up trying. Paid a little bit for the full version, easily worth it, hopefully it'll keep working ok. Ironically it's not supposed to be optimal for my device, seems fine to me.

Changing from 5 to 1 star. App worked great, just as advertised, for 2 days. But, now, has not worked once in over a week. Tried everything I know to fix it. (Clear cache, storage, uninstalled reinstalled, enabled all permissions) Shame it was a great app. UNINSTALLED

At first found count always inaccurate & count not cleared after reading. Discovered can clear count by opening notifyer icon in home screen(automatically installed) and then clicking onto the corresponding app(eg whatsapp, etc), and click out without doing anything. Count inaccurate still bearable as main aim is to show anything unread. Overall still tolerable, though miss the very good unread count feature that comes with my previous Xiaomi 4A(android 7), as now using a new android 10 phone.

Not helping with what I needed it for, the whole point was to keep unread icons after the notification had been swiped away, but this just gives you a widget with the unread badge until you swipe away the notification. No improvement over the default icons.

i wish this app worked every phone I've had before this one has had notification counts on icons. why you would get rid of it I don't know. why you would make an app claiming to bring them back, that doesn't work is beyond me. i can not get this to work, for any app, in any situation.

Have been using it for many years and it was always great. Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore since yesterday, it only show "Problem loading widget" so it's not at all usable anymore.

Paid for the full version however App badges are cleared when notifications are cleared. That was the point of buying the full ad free version. However HIGHLY disappointed that this app is not doing what it's supposed to

Using an S9 and since i got the samsung, never had unread count for missed calls. Downloaded more than 20 apps just insearch of anything that can just show me i got a missed call. Got the Notifyer and follwed the instructions on how to set it up, instead of Nova Luncher, i used color flash launcher which i have been using for years now and OMG! I finally see an unread badge count for my missed calls. Thanks to the developer cos finally i can rest from searching for apps with unread badge count.

The counter does not reset. In order words, it will indicate mail ever after you have read it. When new mail comes in the counter reflects the new delivery correctly. This creates a situation where the counter always indicates mail, even if you have none.

Does not work I followed the step by step that they provided even paid for the premium stuff I have about 8 mailboxes in Gmail with over 300 emails that are unread added the widget and everything what was told of me added all the permissions and the app does not show 1 single notification count I have already received a refund from Google and deleted the app it's very poorly made

Adr. B. Oct 3, 2019

Seems to work, although my twitter notify didn't reset when read. Main thing though is most of my notify apps are in my app drawer and as this works by installing widgets it doesn't help as they can't go there. So I deinstalled it

Not a foolproof app. This just lists the number of unread items from notification menu. Once it is cleared from notification, the count vanishes This does not go to actual app to find out unread items.

Sha. J. Sep 2, 2021

As of recently this app stopped working. Badges are cleared when notifications are cleared from the status bar. Makes it useless since most launchers already support temporary badges. Unfortunate :(

Since most recent update 2021-07-21 app keeps failing "Notifyer has stopped working"... Was fine before this for whatsapp, mood messenger and Gmail... Please fix.... Thank you UPDATE: Took latest version, 2021-07-22, app seems to be working again - thank you!

Fix the bugs. Used this app a while back and it was great. Reinstalled on new phone and it now has to be reset regularly. Latest update appears to have been a downdate.

Ric. T. Sep 25, 2018

Great app. Sometimes (rarely) gets itself in a twist but sorts itself out. Couldn't live without it.

joe. Nov 12, 2019

I just installed your app and it is working great. Could not get my ADW notifications to work. Calls and text. Thank you very much!

Bas. S. Nov 27, 2019

I didn't even think there was an app for this. I have been missing this feature ever since I got my current phone 2 years ago. One day in and so far this is excellent. Thank you.

Deb. T. r. o. Dec 24, 2018

was working amazing but for over a month it keeps telling me i have unread items that i read hours and hours ago. frustrating and pointless now. was 4 star before.

Jef. P. Jun 17, 2019

Used it over 2 years and it was great. Was 5 stars until the June update. Now notifications don't clear after reading. So really not worth using now

Ran. 5. Apr 2, 2020

Amazing app i didn't expect it but it is really really amazing only one issue when i clear the notification from bar why badge is disabled, i just clear the bar notification not read the notification

Ric. T. Jun 14, 2019

Was working fine (5 stars), then the 6-2019 update broke it. Once a notice is set it never clears.

All. B. Jun 10, 2019

woke up and have to pay for my notifications now, which have been free. i've paid 99¢ and it still isnt working.
