Novelist - Write your novels

Such a wonderful concept. I haven't played enough with this app to be able to tell if it works perfectly or if there are still bugs. My concern is the lock into the system. So if you can be able to simulate all these lists in plan text with a plan text editor than you are perfectly portable from one platform to another. If not, this is a good choice to have all those organizational tasks done for you by the app.

This is definitely one of the best storywriting apps on the Play Store. It doesn't have features stuck behind a paywall, it lets you sync your stories to Google Drive, and it now has a web version for PC in development, allowing for cross-platform usage. One thing I wish it had was the ability to allow you to change the mode from normal to easy (or vice versa) on per-book basis, so that I can have some simple quick stories along with my more developed and complex stories.

Hello. I love this app. It really helps me organise my thoughts & blast out scenes that come to me suddenly in the moment & then move them around accordingly. It's super handy. However, I was wondering, is there any chance of having different fonts? I'm personally not a fan of the default one & often leave the app to use another when I edit my drafts & then re-import them later. It would be awesome if there was more fonts available so I can stay inside this one app for the whole process.

This is the best, and by far the most customizable app you'll find out there. I have tried soo many different ones, yet none of them met my standards. They either have cloggy interface you can't change, or annoying pay walls. It's offline, but you can use the push/pull to get it online. With this app, you can write your story how you want, and save the 'template' to use it for other books you write. The issue of not saving your work has also been fixed! I'm excited to see the new improvements!

I am very impressed by this app!. I use mind map and this app reminds of that. I love it because I can put all the ideas, background, and characters in one place. Being able to move sections around helps because sometimes I'll write a chapter and decide to put another chapter before it. This app helps you write your book from start to finish, all in one place. The only thing I wish it had so far, are cross platform capabilities for when I want to work on my computer.

I love this app. Very easy to use and it’s free! I do hope you add a search option on the organize section though. Sometimes, I make a lot of sections and if I wanna add a scene, I need to scroll down a lot. And one more thing, when I uncollapsed a section, it goes back to being collapsed. It gets very annoying because as I have said, I add a lot of scenes and it’s very time-consuming and tiring to scroll down just to add things to a newly made section. I hope you consider adding these! \^~^/

I downloaded this app for a better alternative to Writer Plus. I liked the way Novelist works, but I had a problem with not being able to access the actual body of sections because of a compatibility issue with screen readout functions. As a blind user, that rendered this 99.9% perfect app, ultimately unuseable. I contacted the developer yesterday, and recieved a response this morning written by a real human being! I would write more, but character limit.

This is awesome Ive been using it for over five years now. The only thing I ask is that the highlighter where you put extra notes be returned back to how it originally was where the notes appear at the top and the whole thing is highlighted in yellow because the yellow underline is hard to spot sometimes. I mean I have to scroll across to see my notes now when before it if you touched the highlighted parts the notes just popped up. I loved that! But other than that updates are pretty fly.

This app really helped me outlining my stories. It has tools for developing scenes and characters as well as tools for world building. It's free to use plus I can access it offline. It's a good place for my outline and drafts, so I don't lost them. I can make backups for my novels in my local strorage and restore those backups in case I deleted the app too. I just hope I can connect my Google account to the app so that I can recover its contents in case I lost or destroyed my phone.

I don't know if it's because my phone is trash or it's the app itself but whenever I reached 3k words or more the typing system gets laggier and laggier for absolute no reason I would press any key or letter and it will take 1 second or more just to load or display that letter or key. So 3 stars for now the is good and kinda complicated at first even with tutorials but if you get used to it, the experience is so great

Hands down the best writing app out there, not just for mobile devices but in general! I know he recommends you start a new file when doing a new book in a series but I just create a new column labeled Events Book 2, and to that it would be nice if you could clone columns like you can individual cards. Metadata groups too, because often character information is different in new books ;) Even without those changes, I still recommend trying to keep series together in the early planning stages :)

Super organized! Novelist thinks of soloo many things, I would never have thought of. This is my favorite app now! 100% remanded for writers! This app rarely is slow too! I do prefer to type on my computer, can we have a version for this on desktop and laptop?

There is a slight learning curve. The first time I used this app, I couldn't even figure out how to create a text scene. I'm not sure if it has since been updated but after learning the lay of the land, it has been excellent. Novelist has completely obsoleted Schriever for me.

Soooo, I'm and 11 year old girl, and I love Novelist. I got it because I wrote alot of stories, by hand. It took longer to right by hand, and I often forgot what I was going to write. So I went to Playstore, and looked for a free writing app. Thats how I found Novelist, my favorite app on my computer. It super easy to use, and it's free. It saves me alot of time, and it helps me remember my ideas because you can write them down in Novelist. Thanks to Novelist, I write stories faster and better.

It's an amazing app but lately it's been acting weird, like it won't save what I wrote and the spellings become wrong etc, I know there's nothing wrong with my phone, so I really want you to fix whatever issue I am facing because this is an amazing app, and I won't tolerate to have my stories vanished.

I absolutely love this app, but lately I've been running into an issue that makes me unable to write anything in a scene after I press enter to make a new paragraph. I'd really like to keep using the app, but it's become nearly unusable because of this issue.

Once upon a time ― for years ― this was my go-to writing app, and then a series of app updates made it impossible for me to get anything done on my Chromebook. But I never gave up hope that one day Alessandro would find a way to make things work. Well, he did. The version of Novelist I downloaded today is everything the app used to be... and a whole lot more. For novel writing, I can't think of another app I'd rather use! I'm glad to be back with Novelist.

I found this app and it was awesome, but for the past three days it has been frustrating me. I write up to 2,500 words and it clears all of a sudden. Wiping away all the inspirations I have put down. I don't know if I'm not supposed to write up to 2,500 words. Please fix this, it's really frustrating because I have daily targets to meet.

I've been removed my last review with 5 stars, & give this new review still with 5 stars. That's because Google character limitations. Maybe next suggestions & expectations will send to app developers by email. My expectations are still the same with the last, but the biggest expectation is how can I put the image(s) into the article? The image(s) only appear on the small circle, not in the article. Please make that as priority for the next update. It's really comfort using this app.

This app has many things up its sleeve. I love the complexity but also the flexibility. It's a great way to structure your story with all those items, characters, scenes etc. which are all interchangeable. I have one problem, though. I am not able to always think in two languages so I'd appreciate a German version very much.

Seems like it would really help with my need to micromanage all the details of my stories. Unfortunately, I'm a series writer, and I don't really want to write a hundred identical character and setting profiles every single book. I admit character do change over time, but it would be helpful if I could import them from the previous book and just change what needed changing. I did like that I didn't have to sign up for an account just to test out the app.

This app is perfect. Literally perfect. It has everything someone like me could EVER ask for. It's not hard to navigate, easy to write with, and has all the features that you would normally want in a writing app; categories for drafts, pictures for characters, relationship threading, you can write notes too. It even has a feature where you can add a DUE date for any of your projects, which can really help. This app is the perfect writing app, and I feel bad for anybody that hasn't found it yet

4/5 has all features one would need, simple to use amd has a lot of functionality. The only issues I have is that you can't add another Scenes tab, which makes navigating your scenes (not chapters) a bit hard when you get a ton of them. I would also love if you could make an option to just display ONLY the name of any item(prop,event, character,etc...) Because when you add a lot of them with notes, even if short, the tab fill up very fast and scrolling through them becomes tedious.

Overall the app is great. I can get really deep into the lore of my fantasy world with all the different sections, themes, etc and write down all the small scenes that pop onto my head on a whim in their own little spot to include whenever I want or feel it fits. One thing that's a major issue is that I've written down A LOT of info outside of the app before I even got it and the copy and paste feature is non existent on the app so I cant transfer a bulk of my existing planning over at all.

This program has the perfect combination of useful organization tools and ease of use. I like to start with a solid plot plan but write out of order and I can do both here. THANK YOU!

I really love this app, I am able to write my stories easily. I'm just afraid that if my phone was destroyed, I won't be able to restore everything I wrote. I just hope that the developers will create a backup file data for easy transfer, so by transferring the data file to other phone, my saved stories will be available to be continued there.
