Now Playing History
"Now Playing History" shows a history of all the songs you've listened to, sorted by date. Never miss a song again! You can tap on an entry to listen to the song in your favorite music player (customizable) and mark individual songs as "favorite". The app can optionally fetch additional details (such as the album name and album cover) for each song. An optional "map"-feature allows you to see where you've listened to each song. Explore where you've listened to the songs in your history, go back in time to see the playlist of your favorite night club, or reminisce about your last concert's set list.
The app supports Last.fm scrobbling - you can either scrobble individual songs by long-pressing on them, or automatically scrobble all newly recognized songs.
You're able to search your history of recognized songs and delete songs from your history by long-pressing on them.
You can export your entire history (or just specific songs) to Google Drive / Gmail to share them with friends or to keep a backup for yourself.

All data is stored locally on your device. When using the optional "scrobbling" and "album art/details"-feature, we send the song title and artist to the Last.fm-API. If you're using the "map"-feature, the recorded locations never leave your phone. The app does not use Google Analytics or any other tracking or ad libraries.

This app is much, much, MUCH more useful than Google's implementation and is essential until they catch up, which seems like never. Not sure what others are doing, but it works beautifully here with Android 12 on a Pixel 6 Pro.
Love the app, it would be awesome if it had similar functionality to the google now playing app. Basically you can click the little arrows that expand and contract the song lists by month, by week etc.
Extremely useful app, and great functions. Not been updated since aug 2018. Sometimes does not record the song for no specific reasons
4 Stars today. I love this app. 5 Stars if it would store a backup. I recently had to replace a broken Pixel 2 and lost all my history. Sounds trivial but let's be honest, this feature is already a nice to have...
got the pixel today, this app shows 4 songs then nothing. the history built in to the pixel itself showing loads more since the 4. save your money. unfortunately just too late for a refund
Used to be good. It no longer 'listens" for music after the latest Android 10 update.
One of the first apps I installed on my new pixel2 in July 2018. Have only showed a few results, last time was 14th of August. And yes I have allowed notifications...
Paid for the app, has zero functionality on my Galaxy Note 20. Emailed support, 10 days later- no reply 😕
Does not work on Android 11 due to reworked notifications. Pixel 4.
App crashes every time I return to the app after opening a song in YouTube music
No longer needed since Google added a similar app, built in to Android.
they really should mention that this app is only for the Pixel and will do absolutely nothing on a Galaxy.

I love this app! The developer keeps it looking fresh with updates and the Scrobble feature is the icing on the cake, despite Google adding a log to the OS I still use this app. I highly recommend
App crashes when you try and play a song on Play Music after the first successful time.
Time for more options guys! Filters, sorting, grouping, playlists. Still very good and thank you. Done something Google forgot. Very stable and very accurate!

This app does not even work for me. Ever since I installed it it's said "History is empty" even though I've been to may concerts and a music festival. It really sucks that I missed out on all those potentian new favorite songs.
This app only shows you songs recognized after this app has been installed. If you listened to a song prior to installing the app you won't be able to see it.
It's a really good app but I can't seem to open music in Apple music unfortunately as it keeps saying the app has stopped. Works fine with Spotify and Google music though

Correctly identifies most songs. Sometimes can't, but that's prolly due to surrounding ambient noise
Fantastic app that adds functionality that should've been there in the first place! One thing I wish it would add is the ability to back up your list of songs somehow - I had to reset my phone and lost my list which was a shame.
Was working then has seemed to stop since I cleared the history uninstalled, reinstalled ,restarted phone ,gave permissions nothing .
Great app, worth the small price. Will bump up to 5 stars if I figure out a way to only scrobble songs that aren't already being scrobbled, such as Spotify via its back-end Last.FM connector. Unfortunately, as this app currently stands, I have to turn off scrobbling or I get duplicates.
