Now Playing Tracker
Now Playing features identifies most of the songs playing in the background but the phone does not keep any history of the songs identified.
That's where Now Playing Tracker comes into play. It keeps track of all songs that Now Playing has identified and presents it in a simple, easy to browse way.
You can favorite songs, open songs in a music app of your choice and also export a list of all songs that the app has saved.
You also have the ability to save location to the song when it is identified. When you export the list of songs, you can see where the song was identified.
Location is only asked for when a song is identified, and no battery is used since the phone provides it's most recent location. A dedicated in-app map view is coming in the next update.
You also can clear all songs identified and just keep your favorites.
The app will be continuously updated with new features and bug fixes.

Works flawlessly, should be built-in to Google's services already. This app does what Google can't or won't.

Works perfectly. Only one permission to read the song on the notification bar. Don't pay for those others!

Great app, simple interface Love that when you click the song it will launch straight into your selected music launcher. The new map feature is also really useful and accurate!

Good UI easy to use, much needed app
Was great, but no longer working When this app was released, it was the perfect fix to something Google missed when they added the song listening feature. Unfortunately, the app hasn't been updated in nearly a year and with the rollout of Android 11 a couple weeks ago, it's stopped working altogether.
