Just one very annoying behavior: it's impossible to zoom in images. Neither can they be displayed in landscape mode. So it's pretty hard to see details in an image that belongs to an article. Pretty basic feature if you'd ask me.
pity it doesn't remember the page you read last
I don't see the login button within the ui when I select one of the themes for example "dark" can you please look into this? it seems that the button is working but the text is not visible I am using HTC Desire 20 pro on Android 10
App frequently logs out and does not allow storing your password. Also, it asks me to buy a subscription while I already have one.
App freezes regularly when trying to scroll articles. Can't zoom images. Disappointing!
Great app, however recently it asks for login after tapping on any article notification. After log in you're taken to today's paper, not the article.
Nice app, but it keeps crashing while reading articles 😕
Quality news but app crashes five times in five minutes, what is going on?
Brilliant App, it is like reading a real paper
Good app, issues I had were fixed fast
Why do i get a message every day that i have to install the app??
Mijn negatieve reactie "Onbruikbaar, onpraktisch" was onjuist.
I can't login to this app but I am currently PAYING for a subscription. It keeps coming up with "Expected BEGIN_ARRAY but was STRING at path $.user.rights". I love your content but I can't access it unfortunately. NRC can you please help.
Finally, the last update make this app very useful again. Please continue to work on it and get it up to par with iOS. On to 5 stars!
Bad app update. I only see the even numbered pages on the screen. Also the app crashes all the time. There needs to be some serious testing before a next release
Update made the app worse. Doesn't respond well at all when you want to swipe to the next page. Definitely not an improvement
Best not to upgrade. The new version is touted as an improvement because the pages look more like the printed newspaper. However, rendering quality is very poor. Nothing but the largest headlines are legible, parts of pages look like a web page that is still loading. And why is it a good idea to try and replicate print view on small electronic displays to begin with?
This version is much worst than the previous one. It looks older and is less handy.
I've an older Android version (5.0.2 on an Asus tablet). The NRC app worked well enough till recently. It hung completely the Saturday March 5 issue (magazine?). I completely reinstalled it today - a mistake as it now only tells me that it needs an internet connection and I should try again. The tablet has a connection, but it appears the app cannot use it. Please fix this!
