nRF Beacon for Eddystone

nRF Beacon for Eddystone is an application that supports the new Eddystone GATT configuration service allowing users to configure your beacon to advertise all types of Eddystone frame types from UID, URL, TLM and the newest EID and eTLM frame types. In addition the application uses Nearby API for scanning Eddystone beacons in close proximity and Google Proximity API to register UID, EID beacons and create/retrieve attachments for them on the Proximity API cloud.
The basic features of the application includes-Foreground and background scanning of beacons using Nearby API which are registered on the Proximity API. Once an EID beacon is registered to the cloud with an attachment, the Nearby API will send the beacon EID packet to the proximity API, resolves the EID packet and retrieve the data attached to it. Please note only UID and EID beacon types can be registered on the proximity API and make sure to limit the size of an attachment to be 3KB-Registering beacons and creating attachments to proximity API-Configuration of Eddystone beacons using the new Eddystone GATT configuration service.-URL shortener for configuring URL beacons

I think since this uses the Nearby API, it may no longer be functional since Google deprecated/discontinued eddystone support in 2018.

You need expensive hardware for the app to work.

Cannot find any beacons. No "refresh" functionality or anything that indicates its even scanning.

Hello. I used this app on Kit Kat without any problems. However I upgraded to a custom ROM, Lineage OS 13 which is based on Marshmallow 6.0.1. Now I don't see any beacon. I have Nrf52 DK and using the eddystone example. Surprisingly, the android bluethooth menu sees Nrf5_Eddys. But this app doesn't see, neither nrf connect and neither any other app

Whenever I try to register Eddystone EID beacon, it says Error 403 - Unable to register. Also whenever I try to connect to beacon, Google Play Services is crashing. My device is Nexus 7 with Android 6
