Well after my negative review I had contact with the developer and after some enlightenment I have to change my rating. Although I do have trouble with the english used in the help files I have comee to a better understanding of how ths app is best utilised. Give this program a try and you could find some very useful functions.
It seemed ok, but there is no way to enable my tablets external keyboard. So half the screen is taken up with virtual keyboard. No option in settings, or none that worked.
So far it's good. If you have trouble with the soft keyboard not appearing when using the input or inkey statements, use: init"kb:2" before the input and inkey statements.
Nice . But it would be great if a special function package is made available. For instance bessel , erf, erfc , etc. 😊
Shout the dev a cuppa! You won't be sorry...but if so there's a refund button. You have nothing to lose. This app for BASIC Programming has taken a lot of work and know how.
Have'nt tried it yet, but the manual needs a serious overhaul. VERY unclear.
outstanding implementation of BASIC.
You CAN do Old school BASIC in DosBox, But that's clunky, and with this you get access to hardware not dreamed of in the '80s - '90s - Coolest part: If you have some vintage BASIC code lying around (in ASCII form) It's almost guaranteed to run! I wish there was a Windows 10 version of this! 👍👍
★★★★★★ thanks for a great app, true to original basic, with direct command line, for statement testing. android basic is great fun and truly versatile. is it possible to have a full screen mode. the new update is fantastic. i have full control of the whole screen area now, its great. there is a small problem on my tab8010 when i hide the top bar there is no way of getting it back could there be an init command for this setting.

UPDATE: When I fist installed the app, it did not run on my Pixel 2 under Android Pi. On reading the review, the author contacted me and offered to fix it. WIthin a day or two, an update rolled out and it now works. Not only does it work on my phone, but it works on my Chromebook. Nice implementation of Basic, and great support from the developers. Wishlist: * That the on-screen keyboard could be taken off screen (useful when working on a tablet with a keyboard attached, or on a Chromebook. * That physical keyboard supported all keys (I'm having to use the on-screen keyboard for certain shifted characters)
