Cannot login because app asks me to fill in account details on the website. Website shows error: error while saving data. Additionally, what do you need my details for?
It's a fine app, sure, does the expected minimum. It can store tickets, that's at least worth 2 stars. Minus 3 because it doesn't suggest to get out 2 stops earlier to catch the same train at a different station. It even goes as far as telling me that It's not possible anymore to catch the next train. In bright red colors. Yeah, I thought of it myself, but I want to be able to trust my apps.
You can not store your bookings when you live abroad and have no zip code. I live on Bonaire (part of Holland) , so this is a shame !
Dreadful, never does what it is supposed to. Fix that trainwreck.
Used to be a really good app. Never had any issues with this before, but this year I can't import my tickets any longer.. what happened? (I did check and reinstall the app to make sure I have the latest version) And it seems from the reviews I am not the only one with this problem. Fix this or at least reply to customer complaints, don't hide behind your position of power since we can't pick anither train company to purchase from! :(
App won't register my account due to having a foreign address, so I can't access my tickets
Useful for international travel. Saves your bookings, tells you which train you are on, usually can tell you which platform you need. Only moderately good for booking trips, because for some reason there are places you can't book to. Pretty terrible at storing your tickets. In theory it stores your tickets, but in practice, forget it.
No native booking option - after selecting preferred book options, app just redirects to the webview Terribly slow backend - I had to use three different browsers on two devices to proceed with the booking, It just timeouted every time. I was able to proceed with payment after like 5th attempt, also timeouts. The only reason to use this service is because there is no other option to buy international tickets.
Not able to import tickets. I have tried a number of times, only get a message saying it takes 30 seconds, but then no more happens. It worked before though. Back to printouts 😣 Update: after reading other reviews I deleted the app and reinstalled it and now it works. So more or less lucky. However, this was the first thing I tried, but Google play insisted that the app was up to date. Don't know if this is a Google play or NS failure, but in any case it took me much more time than needed.
It is annoying that there are 2 buttons (travel a d ticket) and that if you tap the travel button you don't get the barcode/your ticket. In fact it says: no details provided. It is confusing and useless. Also, the travel information is not up to date. The regional train had a delay of 6 minutes (connection time only 4 minutes) it did not mention the delay, nor the consequences. Please approve!
love it! smooth easy and informative. I used it to book a trip to belguim and the offers price really good. the payment went right only for once I done payed it showed an error but I received a confirmation email and after two time refreshes of the app my tickets showed confirmed. thought to mention this might help the developers. thank you guys for making it easy for us.
Never seen such a faulty app in my life: - created accound for the purpose of not printing a ticket. it asked me to fill in some personal details to complete account. All was in dutch, changing to english would redirect me to another section. - after finally managing to fill in my details, I had to sign back in: SURPRISE! Username and password combination not working anymore. As far as I can see, I am not the only one. Very disappointing
Cant be relied on. Options that are on the browser are clumsly difficult to find on this app. Tickets apear not always on time and I rather kept a PDF file of my ticket on my Phone rather than rely on the whims of this app. worse thing yet, I once double paid for a ticket because I got a failscreen at my first attempt (but it didnt). Could not get a refund. I only use this app to see the actuality of traveltimes, but I wont rely it with the purchase and holding of tickets.
Update 01/12/2019: wanted to update my previous (two star) review for a while now, but didn't get around to it. Would have given 5 stars because NS managed to fix the ticket import function but it's broken again. Worse, the planning functionality is broken too, so the whole app becomes pretty useless. Minus one star instead of plus 4, a shame.
after the last several updates, e-ticket cannot be imported into the app anymore. and login with an account is required, to do literally anything with this trash app. i dont have time to make a f****** account just so i can go for a business trip. and what is even ironic is after you make the account you will still find it unusable. even an e-ticket cannot be imported into it. never NS International again!
Very good in locating trains, timings and transters. Need to work on the notifications. I do not remember getting notified on anything. Used the app during my resent trip to the Netherlands and was very helpful!
Horrible! After booking there is no way to add the trip in the app. Worst app ever. And the whole webpage is full off lies. You can't book in the app and the mail does not provide a way to add the booking.
Delay notifications are not working in the app. Attempting to change this setting produces an error that states "Notification settings could not be saved." I get a similar error message on iOS.
Terrible app. my imported booking shows other information than the mail. Station to transfer train is not part of ice trip! Transfer time not calculated correctly. Notifications provide wrong info. Real nightmare.
The authentication is a nightmare. Either not available, or wrong password even if it's correct, and when it finally works and you open the app again you have to log in again..
After setting the language in English every single detail in the sign up process was in Dutch. Inside the train and stations also not a single announcement in English. We sat on a random seat, conductor came said ok then after a few hours another passenger enters and tells us it was their seat but at that time train was almost full so we went in completely unnecessary trouble. It was helpful to have instant updates of schedule though.
Doesn't import tickets, can't sync to my account for passed trips, and planning trips works on and off, so it's kind of dealers choice whether it decides to connect. As is now, unusable.
Verry annoying that this app is not refreshing and i cannot use the travel itinerary details for 2 hours already even restarting the cell and app. I have a samsung galaxy note 20 operating well with other apps.
You can see the one-way train times in the app, but for the return leg you're redirected to the website. Would be good to have all the functionality in the app.
This app has become useless since the latest update. It is no longer possible to import tickets, which means one needs to print them before traveling.
Tickets in the app do not work. Neither gate at Amsterdam central not scanner from the conductor where able to scan the ticket from the app. Best to bring an old fashioned printed backup and forget about this app.
