Nuki Smart Lock

Update: over 18 months now and everything still going pretty nicely... Well designed product and app. Been using this for about six months now and aside from initial teething problems which were resolved quickly by customer service, I've had no problems at all. Only the door sensor is a bit finicky but that may well be due to my placement of the magnet. Overall quite happy with the experience so far

App has many options to control and adjust the lock to your needs. I'm very satisfied with the product as well. UX could be improved as it's not always easy to understand how to control the accessories and the main screen fro controlling the lock isn't super clear.

After the last updates, the app, after a very long "loading" does not connect to the lock anymore. This has happened already with other updates in the past. I also have a keypad that works with no problems. Please, fix the app!

This application sense to have been designed by someone who doesn't have much experience with UX AND hasn't used the smart lock themselves. Informational notes with Modal behaviour make smart unlocking at times unusable. A ticket (147894) filed with user support only brought an elaborate "turn it off and on again" answer but no solution and Nuki just does not acknowledge that this is a design error.

My comment goes after 2 days of use. I switched from another smart lock which had a lot of bugs. Nuki managed to deliver on all the tasks. I tested all advertised features and had zero issues. The lock isn't noisy, in fact it has a pleasant tone. FOB is a great add-on for the kids. I was also amazed to see that I can control the lock with my smart watch. I hope they don't change a thing, as everyone works perfectly so far!

Compare to the Danalock (I used it for 5 years) is NUKI just much better. Simply, it works and that's crucial in electronic lock world. Just two small requests. A white version, or better visibility version of GUI would be appreciated and the pop-up window about unlocking/opning door can be little bit more smart, so it does not ask every time.

I love the app and automatic unlock but the battery usage is a lot , last 24 hours, was active 21 hours, using the same battery i use in other apps, that's crazy for an app that is in background, i contacted several months ago about this to the developers, because seems the geofences are not optimized and use a lot my GPS for long i hope it can be fixed soon because it has been like that for several months and if freeze the app the battery is better so yes is the app

Performance becoming a real problem. Please look at serious optimisation. 10% plus every day. This is not specific to me if you search online.

Such a great idea and totally reliable (in that, eventually, it always opens the door), yet just incredibly slow and inconsistent. Sometimes it opens everything straight away, sometimes you have to wait minutes(!) only to have the doors open when you're long inside. It's just so frustrating and ludicrous. Also, one has to restart the app regularly whenever the status can't load.

I have used a Nuki lock and bridge now for about 18 months. The lock itself is great. It was easy to install and reliable. However, while the new versions have clearly improved the app, the configuration can be still confusing and subject to odd bugs. For example, my current interface has two contradictory messages: the round lock symbol is always showing (also with the text) that the lock is open while the text below tells the status of the device correctly. Focus should be more on reliability.

It's works very well. Only frustration is that the remote connection fails when the wifi bridge module is switched off and back on again (office cleaner!) , rather than automatically connecting back to the Nuki lock and re-establishing a remote link. The link between the lock and the bridge module has to be manually re-established via the app on premises. Experience seems a little better on Android than iPhone.

Nuki alows leaving home and returning without using your key or the app. You can set a night time, when the door locks or auto locking time in minutes after you have closed the door. Lock has great automatic functionality (it calibrates it self) and lots of options for tweaking. Would be nice to have: 1. Plate for ASSA 2. Auto calibration did not open far enough and had to tweak it to - 10'. Wish it had an option to set the current position as open. 3. There should be normal and expert settings

Good product, good app. Works fine for several users. I'm very happy with it so far and would recommend it. Feedback: Setting up the lock with the hub was a bit of a pain, something was not enabled and the settings menu could do a better job showing "incomplete" options or issues with current ones. App stops trying to connect to lock when phone switching networks (from LTE to WiFi, or WiFi to WiFi), so if it switches in front of my house, as it often does, I have to restart the app.

I'm impressed. This application is very well designed, troubleshooters are actually useful. I like that despite ton of options is pretty clean. What it would be nice to improve: 1. Debug map for auto unlock could be less buried. (On support page it's called differently than in application) 2. Web vs club and shop accounts should be better distinguished 3. Auto unlock has its issues, however that's mostly issue of the android itself.

This is app is not a good idea. My host gave it to me instead of keys to the building and when Internet connection fails to the lock device, I'm not able to get in. I wish it didn't exist.

Easy to set up works like a charm, only issues was signing up to Nuki Club would not accept my post code at first but automatically signed me after few attemps. Worth the price of the lock

Sometimes doesn't work and has a few weird bugs but most of the times it does work without any issues.

since months nuki won't open the door automatically anymore. when will you fix it? (btw. also on ios its not working anymore). We have to go into the app and open "manually"

The app is easy to use but it can be easier. I hoped it could sync the status of the door instantaneously. I also wish to have a list of all devices I have when I open the app instead of having categories of devices. Device setup had some failures before I managed to make it work.

I use this app and Smart Lock for my business and it's great. It's user friendly to set up and I can schedule it to lock and unlock my door. The door sensor (in beta) is quite reliable. It would be nice to have a door closer option so that I only get one notification per entry. But I realize for most people that is not a problem. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the notifications can be inconsistent but that may be due to my phone (OnePlus Nord). Highly recommended!

4 stars because the calibration is sometimes tricky and buggy.

I am very happy with the app and the lock. A feature that would be very interesting for me is when the lock could detect somehow if it's fixture on the door is getting a bit loose. In my case the part of my doorlock that sticks out is very thin and every few months the lock detaches itself rendering the remote functionality useless. A notification from nuki that it feels that the mounting is not idezl anymore would be worth gold to me

I love the nuki smart lock. There are so many options and settings. My favourite is that the door unlocks iPhone arrival at home! Brilliant when your hands are full!

The missing link in my "smart" home was my door lock. After researching all of the alternatives bought Nuki. I'm totally happy with it's operation and the App. The "Smart Unlock" uses a combination of a geo fence and Bluetooth and genuinely means you can depend on your phone instead of keys to unlock your door. My wife uses the iPhone equivalent and this works equally well.

The app works great. Controlling the lock, giving access to other people and viewing activity is all very user friendly. There's only one thing keeping it from 5 stars and that's performance/accuracy. When swapping between mobile and WiFi (like when you're coming home) the app sometimes fails, because of connection issues.

Battery usage has been very high (galaxy s21), 7.4% from running in the background today. I have auto unlock on for the Opener which I guess is causing this, but it has only worked once in the last week so this feature isn't reliable, but it worked most of the time on my last phone (oneplus 6t). Hope it can be improved.

Since last update, connecting to lock takes along time and is intermittent. Also after every other update the push notifications of lock action (lock, unlock, open, close), stop working on android (nuki and android on latest firmware release). With a crucial system like this I MUST rely on smooth working app updates. Not happening since I got my nuki over a year ago.... :-/ EDIT: in my case i had to manually reconnect my Nuki bridge in the App in order to get everything working again.
