NV Calculator (Non-Volatile)

Do you want to add any GSM / WCDMA / LTE bands to your phone? Then use this app to calculate all needed NV (Non-Volatile memory) items.
This app is only useful for phones with a Qualcomm chipset.

If you don't know how to add GSM / WCDMA / LTE bands to your phone, please refer to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059

That thread is for Samsung Galaxy S5, but the same principle is also applicable for many other phones, e.g. Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Nexus...

You also need some NV editor software (e.g. QPST, QXDM, EFS Professional...) on the PC to write these NV items to your phone.

>> NV items description:

+ Adding GSM / WCDMA bands:

NV 1877 (ID 01877)
- RF Band ConfigurationNV 0441 (ID 00441)
- Band Class PreferenceNV 0946 (ID 00946)
- Expand Band Preference 16 to 32 BitsNV 2954 (ID 02954)
- Bits 32 to 63 of Band Preference

+ Adding LTE bands:

NV 6828 (ID 06828)
- LTE BC ConfigurationNV 6829 (ID 06829)

This app does what it says it's going to do, but it's actually missing quite a few LTE bands, they stop at number 44. It also does not support any 5G configuration.

I'm no expert, but this gets the job done. Here, you have my 5 stars.

This app saved the day, and my note 2.

I need to calculate LTE band 66. This app doesnt go that high. I cant figure out how to calculate band 66 from binary to little endian because binary is max 63 digits. Ugh!

Calculator produces wrong results, causing issues, beware, should do the math yourself

It would be great if you can input values for items 1877 (GSM/WCDMA) and 6828 (LTE), for example the ones you read from your phone and the APP would give you the corresponding bands for those values. You should consider adding CDMA support since many phones are global phone and can lose CDMA support since the app doesn't support CDMA band calculations. For those who have lost CDMA you just have to add 7 to the value you get from this app if you are intending to re-enable USA CDMA carrier bands or use mzTool

It works 👍

App works great for calculating LTE bands. As for the other tab, I would like to see CDMA added to the list, otherwise use mzTool (windows program) to calculate value along with GSM and WCDMA.

Beautiful app. Love your shortcut master app. One of the favourites.

Simple no nonsense app to calculate frequency bands values. Would be 6* if the band selection would remain and also implement a box select/deselect all.

This app does exactly what it supposed to be. But you should add the ability of extract to log file and send it to the PC so I can copy and paste the value, not type each number :\ From BlackSoulxxx@XDA
