Umm its okay but very annoying to use imo. I would LayPaint HD or Sketchbook instead.
I just wish the oil colors would blend like they do when wet meets wet in real life. It's still an amazing program.
Good but annoying notification bar keeps getting pulled when I draw near the edge
this is the best drawing platform i have ever used <3 you Nvidia
Amazing... kinda hard to learn though love it though
usability still needs improvement but its a great app
A must have for on the go artists!
Would get 4 stars if the backlight flicker bug was sorted. The backlight flickers when using the app with a low lit screen. Bump up the backlight strength and the flickering disappears. This issue only occurs in this app.
Lost 2 out of 4 sketches today
This application will kill your stylus tip because of how much you will use it. Accuracy of the shield tablet stylus is in question though. A much finer point is best. I haven't tried using another manufacturer stylus but I need to because the Nvidia supplied pen tip doesn't last long.
I really like how this dabbler works. Yet idd say I feel I a bit left behind as a pencil user since the stylus losses a bit of the accuracy I need. Also a most important thing is I JUST RECIEVED OTA 4.1 lte YET I CAN'T UPGRADE TO THE NEWEST DABBLER, PLEASE HELP AND FIX THIS. MY SOFTWARE IS NEW YET IT SAYS that my device software isn't compatible.
Sometimes when I hold my tablet while drawing, it will put black smudges on the side of the screen even though I have it set to stylus only mode. Please fix and then 5 stars
Love this on my shield tablet, but would like more brushes for painting, and options for the pallet knife to provide more effect options
Fun deep paint, fun drippy watercolor based on tilt. Revert to the old version for cool metallic oil paint (max the sliders).
I was just getting into this app and then the layer mode got stuck on. now everything I paint is white and can only be seen on the layer screen. I was really hopeful about this app too
Strange sounds coming from my device when using it though, and forces close when I change the brush when painting
This is great, it's the reason I bought the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1. :)
Great drawing app, love it :)
Created a project. Saved if so I could look up information online and came back to find it only saved an earlier version so all my work was lost.
Even though I'm nt an artist bt I can play with this app drawing anything I want and have fun for hours..
just one thing missing. It should have filling option . Plz do add this feature .
Battery life is awful, gets hot quickly after ½ hour of use. It's an OK app but has limited use.
Very simple. Good for playing around, but not really useful
I use this when I get a chance, and when you get used to it , it's really fun.
Always get an error when trying to import a picture.
there have been reports since march about the squicking sounds coming out of the speakers ONLY when dabbler is used. There was an app AND a recent OS update and still nothing..want me to root my device so I can sideload a previous version??? FIX IT!!!!!
I'm a graphic artist and a gamer..... You can't beat this tablet and Dabbler. HUGE fan.
Update fixed the previous bugs but v3.0 still has annoying glitches/bugs. When merging 2 different layers, white outline formed around the image of 2nd layer. After painting for a while resolution of image suddenly becomes really low making it appear really blurry. Spent a long time working on a painting just to have it converted to low res for no reason. Dabbler is indeed better than other drawing/painting apps in store but still isn't good enough to do any serious art.
I absolutely love using this app to draw with. Water and oil sims are accurate, supports pen only input, and has rulers and linearity tools to help me with perfection. However, the sidebar popup buttons ruin it for me completely. Every single time I try to work around the edge near the bottom, where the sidebar buttons are, I can't do anything because it keeps thinking I've tapped on the button, when I'm working anywhere within a half centimeter to even a full centimeter radius of either button. I can understand doing it like this for finger painters, but I'm using an nvidia compatible fine tip stylus, which has enough precision to actually tap that corner. I've started several projects and had to abandon them because I couldn't work in that area of the painting without messing with the frame zoom, which I don't like to do with this kind of thing.
